I've got a brushless hub motor on mine, without the chain and all that.. Plus I upgraded my batteries to us 48v bigger swappable I have mounted to the lower part on the front center post. Iam getting ready to go for it and do some nice custom stuff. A new seat with some spring to it. A Bluetooth sound system, keyless rfid ignition, andive got a nice very loud little motion activated alarm along with some kick detection and Regen braking... I love the share version of this scooter though... Best 20 dollars I've ever spent... So much I've kinda tossed the wheels ebike to the side for now.
Could upload it or maybe a step process of the modded suped up version , pointers , tips to upgrade possibly ..?? It'll most definitely be very much well appreciated
I'm glad you wear a helmet. Even though it's a scooter, there are crazy drivers out there on the road. I always wear a helmet when I ride my bike and I try to ride on the sidewalk whenever possible.
As a person who got hit by a car as a teen on a small motorcycle I can highly attest to the need for a helmet. I was not wearing a helmet and suffered a horrible head injury but I luckily pulled through with no permanent affects from it. That is not usually the case for most people though. The person who hit me was a lousy driver. I was a typical teen riding where I shouldn't but I was a good rider. An accident is an accident. Wear the helmet please!
I got mine at Kohl's on sale for $240, they have really gone up in price. I ride mine around the campground when I camp in my rv. I also got a bell, headlight/tail light , and bike computer for it.
@@Adelicows It was over a year ago. they have really gone up in price.Even used their asking 400...its crazy. If you can look on craigslist in your area under scooters...schwinn made a nice sit down scooter at one time you might find used. Good Luck!
I just got mine last week. Its a freaking blast. I put the rack on facing forward then made a seat for my daughter. We scoot around the neighborhood whenever we get the chance. Its honestly so much fun. And this is coming from a motorcycle rider👍
Neato. I'm looking for a seated scooter and all I need is around the 7-10mph that you also do: if it can get me to work or Dunkin/McD's/etc., that's what I need it for. I bought one off Amazon for Prime Day but it got lost in the mail and I ended up refunded. For today's Black Friday sale I feel highly tempted to place another order. 3-month warranty should be enough for me to figure if I want to keep it, so hey. I have a Glion Dolly sitting in my room but it's unseated, the rides are bumpy (honeycomb tires), and accelerates and breaks very quickly, so that was my lesson learned about my e-scootering needs.
Thanks for the great review. I just ordered one today so let's see how it goes. Hopefully it will bring back some childhood memories and I can just enjoy being outdoor in this pandemic.
My whole family loves scooters. I don't know why we get weird looks. A car is really wasteful, when everything is 9 blocks or less from our home. I just bought this one, yesterday. I am looking for a way to hook a portable solar panel to charge it, but I'm not very savvy in solar. After the panel, I don't know how to proceed in shopping. We have the Hover stand up scooters currently. Sadly, they only last 9-12 months. I think scooting along is a ton of fun for any age. :)
I have a question. I'm enjoying my scooter as well, but do yours make like a clicking sound coming from the back tire or near the breaks in the back? I can't figure out why it is making a clicking sound. Not sure if it's normal or not. How about yours?
Great video . Nice and relaxed presentation . No highly technical talk ! Who needs all that , .it' all about the comfort and the ride . I will look into the price and shipment to Cyprus . Is there import tax ?. I will find out ,.........but now very keen .
i just bought this same exact scooter for my wife, will be here in 2 days her and i are very excited to ride it therefor i am watching your video to see other people reviews shes 120lbs so i think she can pull 20mph up to 1hr for sure im 170lbs so i will drain battery faster since im a work from home slob lol
I'm interested in a scooter.....but damn does a grown man look silly on a scooter. Also, how do you even keep these things from being stolen when you're in the store? And even if you were to run a bike lock style system on it, those aren't really meant to stop thieves, just to make it take a little longer to steal that they might not want to be seen stealing it so they don't bother. In reality, most bike locks or chains can be defeated in under a minute or a few seconds with regular tools. You can defeat almost any basic padlock with just 2 wrenches, and chains can be cut rather quickly. And that's one of the real problems with these types of things. They're soo small that they're easy for someone to steal and throw in the back of a truck or minivan in seconds. Sadly, I live in a place where I couldn't trust this thing locked up outside of a store for even 5 minutes.
I ride mine around just for relaxation, not to go anywhere specific. That's the groovy thing about getting older: You stop caring what people think of how you look and what you do. You just enjoy and tell everyone else to bugger off. ;)
something small an unobtrusive like these scooters can be brought in most stores and usually you can lock it off to the side in the vestibule such as Walmart has on a rail or even a shopping cart, too. I have an OnGuard 14mm shackle lock for my bikes and only a really determined thief with some time can cut thru it. Before getting that lock, I almost lost a nice bike with a $25 Bell 12mm shackle. they almost got thru it when their battery powered cutter tool died, I guess. That day I upgraded and it was $75 well-spent

How are you hauling it to the campground? I have a motorhome and I’m looking at different bike carriers

I just bought one use today in pretty good condition for 150
Love this! Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking about getting one. This helps inform my decision.
Glad it was helpful!
I just bought a 2018 model for 150$ , it looks and rides great..
OKAI EA10 Electric Scooter has snap in batteries. However there is no rear rack to carry it with.
Should I checc my motor n battery with a multimeter??

Having it lost in the mail really sucks. Makes you wonder how that could happen. This scooter has been a really blessing for me in many ways.
How do I ride it in street with traffic do I have to wait for lights too change are rules the same as a moter vehicle?
If you choose to ride it in the street, you have to obey the same rules.
Thanks for the great review. I just ordered one today so let's see how it goes. Hopefully it will bring back some childhood memories and I can just enjoy being outdoor in this pandemic.
Enjoy the rides!
How many miles could u get?? Also how long before it needs to be plugged in and charged again?
We got my son one and we love it!!!

Looks like fun but...where do you put your beer?
That comes after the ride. 😁
GREAT review ... I may get one!!
Looks great Tony! Nice scenic neighborhoods. Glad you wear a helmet. Thank you for sharing your ride with us.
Thx I'm interested but I'm heavy and wanna ride longer than a hour....
I believe an hour battery is pretty standard.
@@oldnerdreviews oh thx fir replying and educating...im new to the idea...studying the best one for a heavy rider...300lbs.
Thank you sir. nice video, after an recent incident and all of my research I'm pretty much sold on this.
Happy I could help. Have fun. 😀
Thankyou for sharing I enjoyed that and completely understand the need to just get out and cruise sometimes
Great video , I do almost the same, I test it each day for distance run, even in the rain
Very Nice Tony! Glad you enjoy it. That's a Very Nice Area! Have a Nice Evening.
Thanks
Thanks for showing use with traffic. That’s the part that makes me super nervous lol
It's pretty casual 😁
Did ur motor or battery stop working??
No. Everything is fine.

You probably need to look up how to tune or fix noisey or stuck disc brakes. Mine is like that just fixed it took five minutes and an allen wrench
EXCELLENT, just a great soothing, informative video to watch. Super.🙌

Thanks. I really do love mine. Provides me with a relaxing time out to just enjoy a good ride and all the things around me.
Thanks for the video, do you know whats its hill climbing ability?
It's not good on climbing hills. Definitely meant for city driving.
ive never ridden an electric scooter before but i have ridden my friends motorized bicycle. i love just cruising on it, its so much fun!
Just a terrific time of relaxation and getting away from the day-to-day for a while. 😬
Pretty cool. It looks fairly flat around there, so why not ride a bike? Just curious.
I don't own a bike. 😁
How fast does it go?
I think top speed is around 25. Since I use it to just tool around on, I'm usually hitting a speedy 7-10 mph. ;)
@@oldnerdreviews ok thanks
Can you put a lock on it?
Sure can
I enjoyed this video it almost marfe me feel relaxed watching it 😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed
I wonder if the cell phone holder came with it?
You mean the action camera holder? No. That came with my camera so I could shoot some of the POV shots.
Do you actually need a license to drive this? Do you have to be over 16? Can it handle hills? So many questions!
No license or age limit. Not meant for driving the hills.
Old Nerd Reviews cool, thanks! Nice content 👍
Awesome tony it's awesome to see you be a big kid lol
I may be going on 56, but I still enjoy things of my youth.

I'm sure you'll both enjoy it. It's very relaxing for me. Have fun!
Old Nerd Reviews thank you and for the video also this confirms people enjoy this scooter
You should work for UberEats with that hot rod! People would get their food so quickly at those high speeds!!
😆😆😆

Only 40 mins to an hour?
Yep.. this one is crossed off the list.
You know of a longer battery life?
Nice Video! Can you play Fortnite in your stream? It is a little question from me:)
Tried it for a bit. Not my cup of tea. 😁
great video :)
Thanks for tuning in 😁
the got bikes way faster
I don't need or want anything faster for what I use it for. I prefer a leisurely, relaxing drive. Speed is for the young. 😁
