Edward: Hello BoCo. You seem troubled. Is anything the matter? BoCo: Yes, there is. Last night, there was an old engine in a shed, but then, in the morning, both just disappeared. However, I was able to retrieve something, a number. Edward: Oh, and what number may that be? BoCo: 87546…..
Edward: oh my... that's a number I haven't heard in a really long time. Boco: oh? Was it... before I came to Sodor? Edward: yes it was Boco back in the early years of sodor which was just starting out at the time. It was just me as the primary express engine before Gordon and cheeky Thomas shunting each train to time. Then there long the population of sodor started growing at a tremendous rate that ment more passengers and a lot of goods. Soon the work got too much for me and Thomas although we tried our best to keep up. The railway was run by Sir Topham Hatt the 1st, which at the time he was called the fat director before it became the fat controller with his son sir Topham Hatt the 2nd and Sir Topham Hatt the 3rd. One day the fat director called me and Thomas one morning before we went to do our usual jobs for the day. Fat Director: I've noticed that the workload has increased dramatically over some time now and I've noticed that you both are doing very well and I'm proud of you. Nonetheless though I'm bringing in more engines to help out. Edward: Yes sir. When will they arrive? Fat director: they should be arriving shortly Edward. *two blaring whistles sound in the distance * Fat director: ah here's two of the three now. Welcome to Sodor what are your names? Alfred: My name is Alfred sir pleasure to make you auaintance and to traverse your rails. Fat director: likewise Alfred now who's that next to you? 87546: I don't have a name yet sir just a number. Fat: ok what's your number then. 87546: 87546 sir Alfred is from the LNER and I'm a mixed hybrid engine of sorts. Fat director: well 87546 thank you for telling me what you are but wait I thought I loaned three engines not two. Alfred: oh Henry ugh he's behind us sir. 87546: (muttered tone) more like miles away from us. Alfred: (also in muttered tone to 87546) shush!
R.I.P 87546 you really deserve a redemption arc. I honestly I like this featuring 87546, it shows he matured after he left Sodor and got karma for his actions in the past when Dieselization come into play.
An interesting take on a ghost story. He's not angry or violent, he's not being judgemental or trying to teach a lesson, not even trying to complete some unfinished business, just kind of lonely and not quite willing to leave the world behind yet.
I don't know if you plan to, but this can clearly be built upon. 87546 is in restorable condition based on BoCo's dream. Also the music in that flash reminded me of the Fallout 1 soundtrack.... might be worth looking into that to draw some audio for your projects. Fits the vibe well. I also suggest raising the levels of your vocals, the speech can be hard to hear at times.
I remember this story. It's quite spooky, mysterious, sad and yet a bit heartwarming at the same time. That was very nice work.

BoCo: So he was on Sodor before? He did say something about that, but he also mentioned he wished he appreciated more at the time.
@@jazzykingjack2846 Sounds like Alfred was either standing up for Henry a bit, or didn't want 87546 getting in trouble.
@@jazzykingjack2846 Please don't do the Alfred = 98462 thing.
RIP 87546 you were always a better engine compared to 98462
AGREED! YOU'LL BE VERY SHOCKINGLY SURPRISINGLY DEARLY MISSED!
I agree with this as well, though there was a video I watch on 98462 and it showed that the engine had changed and even got a name
@@ScottishTwinsFan was it made by Norramby Studios?
@@JohntheLNERP2 his name is crovan
Wait, it’s 87546? Even in the original version?

We really need a follow-up of this story, it's been so long
Rest easy 87546✊🏾😔

I feel bad for 87546...😔
Wasn’t exactly expecting this. But nevertheless, very nicely done.
I remember first hearing this by Narrow Gauge. Rip poor Murry (my name for him). He deserved to have an arc about redeeming himself.
Does anyone else want a video of Edwards reply when boco speaks to him?
A very nice story! Poor engine
Good Work On The Video. 😊👍🏼
love this work keep it up cuz its amazing
Vicerstown use to be the main station and headquarters for the the engines of sodor

Say that diesel next to the blue one looks a little like diesel 10
That's because it's a Class 42 Warship. The same class as Diesel 10.
@@joeleboeufCuz it *is* diesel 10.
I would love to have seen a part with boco talking to Edward but the story ends where it ends
4:49 not a thought behind those eyes
Poor BoCo
Was that 87546 as a ghost?
Was there ever a follow up to this showing that conversation and who the engine was?
Is anyone ever going to do a part 2 of this thing
Make a sodor fallout video about daisy or a spotlight episode for daisy and boco
