This was a fun video. Glad you and Keegan could get away and just spend time with each other and relax a bit. Enjoyed seeing a quick shot of your family group. Enjoy your time in London.
This series has been amazing. Please take some advice from an old lady who's been around the block more than a few times....protect what you two have. Don't ever take it for granted or neglect it. It's really beautiful to see. Much love to both of you (and the pups of course) .
❤❤❤ I would love a vacation like that! I'm the same Joel. I'm very simple and I'm very low maintenance! I don't read a lot because I don't have time and I don't have a mental capacity to sit and read I wish I did. But I would love and enjoy sitting in a cabin and watching the scenery! I used to go hiking a lot. And I was a cross-country runner. I haven't been to a race in a couple of years, I need to get back into it!
Fen remains me of me when we were in Capri. My now ex husband and our son who was 2 at the time got into the water and since it was freezing I stayed on the rocky beach.
I missed most of this video. You and Keegan stripped down to your swim trunks for "Wild Swimming" and it steamed up my glasses so bad I missed the whole rest of the video. To say you are both fit as frig is an understatement. Thanks for all the fun and positivity. ❤
6:24 hey Keegan do you guys call that a "spork"?? Many Americans call that a spork: combination of spoon and fork. 🙂 8:50 I'm a city boy, so somebody needs to explain why the horses are blindfolded 😲
Another great video! Keegan's comments are pure gold. Your needs are simple... all you want is everything... like everyone else. I wonder if there were any polaroids you didn't show us? LOL!
I’ve just found you on RUclips Joel. I live & work in Leeds you give it a good representation. Day off today already binge watched 5 hours. Keep smiling & keep doing you my dear 🏳️🌈😊
I was intrigued by the Clarence court eggs, and the info I found about the orange colour is that the hens are pampered, not rushed to lay eggs, and are fed paprika for the eggs' colour and flavour. Would love to try!
@@TheJoelWoodI will be too. But my bonus daughter who is an avid reader got me Crescent City and House of Sky and Breath for Mother’s Day, she says they are equally as good!
Hi Joel the statement around the colour of the yolks if the eggs is incorrect, the depth of colour is down to what the chicken is eating not the age of the egg so I am afraid you like so many others are mistaken in that belief
Really enjoyed this series of vlogs. I can’t believe you guys were at Royal Victoria Country Park. It’s literally five minutes down the road from where I live! And I can’t believe you went swimming there, maybe I’ll have to give it a go!
These vlogs have been so chill and relaxing. I’ve really loved them! I can totally see enjoying that cozy little cabin, just me and my dog and a book to read. Don’t think I could bear to lock my phone away, though. 😄 Kudos to you for doing it!
You're eating a perfect Proper Human Diet breakfast! Whoot! Nothing wrong with coffee, just the stuff we put in it, right? I too used to love running into the murky ocean waters off the coast of Maine. I enjoyed these "cabin in the woods" videos. Hang in there
Joel, the trip looks like so much fun, except the beach part. Nothing like being with your sweetheart and a couple of cute pups in a cozy cabin in the woods, unless it's Biskoff on a Triscuit. 😋 It's all Snuggly Cozy Goodness!
Looks like you really had a nice trip away from all the hustle of city life. Glad you both spent time with your family (so funny they are only 20 minutes away). Nice pic of you and Ava, I could see her face, lol. Thanks for taking us along Joel and Keegan, see you soon!
This was such a fun series to watch! Definitely feel like I got a bit of second hand relaxation from it too. 😊 I would love to see the next series when u visit again as well. Btw - what is the purpose of those blindfold hood looking things on the horses heads?
Really love seeing videos of You and Keegan visiting different places!! But I think I have heard a few places that if an egg yoke has an yellow-orange color it means the chicken was fed more bugs then things like corn or chicken feed. One of the best things to feed chickens is Mealy Worms.
Was a little sceptical at first about the cabin experience; but it really looked like it would be enjoyable. It was nice that the two of you could have some uninterrupted time together. You never quite realize how ordinary life takes up so much time away from what really matters. You and Keegan couldn't be more adorable together. Thank you! I appreciate so much that you allow us to come along for the journey. Just love you guy's! ❤
I can’t wait to go back! I really enjoyed being along for the trip. Winter would be perfect for a second trip. Imagine being cozy inside the cabin with it snowing outside…ahhh ❄️ ❄️❄️❄️⛄️
We had a terrific holiday in a small cabin by the water. We just loved it! Went back a couple of yrs later but it just didn’t feel the same. Hope if you do go back in winter it will feel new!
Love the videos of your digital detox….the picture of you and Ava was really cute. I thought the ocean/sea would be really cold and you both would come running out of it. Glad was wasn’t so bad! It’s nice you guys had a chance to chill-lax together, now it’s time to get back to the real world unfortunately. The winter digital detox sounds awesome…it would make a great Christmas gift/getaway!!
That looks so fun! Have you ever been camping, like truly out in the wilderness with no amenities? It is terrifying but freeing at the same time. I think you would really enjoy that.
Hiya Joel, what a nice venue, are you going to read Wuthering Heights next? if you do you'll have to tell me what happend's, how long ago did you go to The New Forest? I hope you make a recipe I sent you on camera preferably with Keegan, keep up the good work, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England
Lovely breakfast, boys. How about a bit of Dijon mustard on the side with those eggs? A bit of spice-up. And yes, Joel, love my strong coffee as well. Always grind my beans fresh and use tablespoons rather than teaspoons for that satisfying cup.
Really loved these off the grid Vlogs, looks so cozy with just you, Keegan and the dogs! 🐾🐕🐶 Staying in an off the grid cabin for a few days sounds like a good idea to force yourself to unplug from social media and stay off your phone in general. I don’t know if I would be able to go that long without my phone, I think I would feel pretty anxious without it. But sometimes I do wish I could just lock it away somewhere because it gets kind of annoying when I keep picking it up out of habit just to look at social media whenever I get bored. Maybe I’ll try something like that someday, but probably only for a day or so, I hate being so dependent on my phone all the time. 🙄😁 as long as I had my dog and maybe a friend to keep me company though I think I would probably do OK. 🐾❤️
You should look into highroyds, at menston. A mental institution back in the day (some of it still there but mainly all developed now). People were in Their for some crazy reasons in comparison with todays ways of helping people.
Nice finish to the “unplugged” stay, glad you got to see your fam too (shout out to all the Woods!). I follow this one RUclipsr who tours abandoned asylums, I’m so fascinated by them too! It’s crazy what used to happen in them. Hi to Keegan, and see you soon in the next vlog! ❤❤❤
Joel, have you seen "Suddenly, Last Summer"? It's set in the 20th century, but I recall there being an asylum. Elizabeth Taylor was absolutely magnificent in it, alongside Katherine Hepburn.
I’ve loved the off the grid vlogs! Re: asylums, have you seen the horror film Session 9? It was filmed at the abandoned asylum in Danvers, Massachusetts. That’s near Boston which is where I’m from. It’s a good creepy film and Danvers State Hospital is really scary and fascinating.
Joel you might be interested in a book called Ten Days in a Madhouse by Nelly Bly. It's quite a story. Loved the vlog. Good for you both to getting away from social media.
British bacon and American bacon is so different. I was in the UK earlier this summer visiting my daughter, who was living in Harpenden at the time. She sent me to the store for bacon and eggs. First of all, I couldn’t find the eggs, they’re not in the refrigerated section there. And, I couldn’t find the bacon because I was looking for American bacon. Bacon there is more like a thinly sliced pork chops.
Loving these videos Joel! I wish I never had a phone to be honest, grew up without for the first 18 years of my life, I hate being contactable lol. Keep up the great work :)
Pepsi Max is not going to kill you Joel 🤣🔥‼️ That was a very morbid thing to hear lol If you seen The Barbie Movie than you know one part…Joel just had that same moment 👽🤣
it is so lovely to turn off and hide away in nature for awhile. So restful and you make new discoveries. Understand the frustration of wanting to google something and you can’t. Haha. I want to know it now or I’ll forget to look it up later. 😜. Sorry Joel, you’re wrong on the eggs. Orange yolks show that the hens were pastured. If you get yellow yolks, it means the hens are kept in a yard or own with not enough grass and bugs, and they’re probably getting commercial feed. It doesn’t mean the eggs are bad, but naturally fed hens produce more nutritious eggs.
Hi Joel, just wondering how you cope with spiders, or any other creatures that crawl for that matter? Did you see many in the cabin? ❤ N Best wishes xx

Just an fyi… eggs can be fresh if the yolk is yellow, it can depends on what they eat. You both are an adorable couple. ❤️🥂👍🇨🇦
I love your "off-grid" times..you should do thus regularly..
I agree!! haha it was lovely to be more switched off!
This looked so cozy. Glad you were able to recharge together

Love the idea of those tiny standalone cabins: looks like a good time.

Love this Cabin vlog of you guys! Thanks Joel & Keegan! 😎🥰💖

Would love to try!
I saw you reading the first book in the series and ordered the whole set. Love them so much. I’m on the fourth now. Thanks for the suggestion!!
Glad you like them! They’re so good aren’t they!! Will be sad when it’s over

Have you watched American Horror Story season 2 Asylum? Best one of the AHS stories also the horror movie 13 Ghosts
That's a serious "ouch" to Keegan's swim suit. Looking HOT!
My father was in the grocery business. My mother the lighter the yoke the fresher it is.
You should see One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It takes place in the mid 1900s but it does show how cruse mental health treatment was back then.
