Looked like your first bale was a double. We never ran green balers here in Lincoln and Catawba County in NC. Pop sold New Holland. That's all you see around here. Deere makes a really good square baler though, just didn't have dealer support around here. We did use a stacker with a bale chute like you have. Later went to all rounds for cattle. We never had the luxury of a cab. Thanks for the videos.
Watching this nearly a year after you posted it. I started square baling 2 years ago and your reactions are about like mine. My baler was cleaned out when i started and I quickly learned Not to loosen everything off and empty the chamber unless absolutely necessary. First few bales come out messed up or busted. We always cut the first bale or two open and rebale them just the get the baler dialed back in and get the tension where we want it.
The best way to learn is hands on and just try it. You quickly figure out what works and what doesn’t. I really enjoy square baling except when it comes to getting them out of the field. Thanks for the comment
Did you get your old stack wagon working? Never seen a video of a pull type running. Personally, I built an accumulator to set groups of 8 first then I built an 8 bale grapple to come back and pick them up with. It’s 2 steps but it works good for me.
No it’s turning out to not be worth it financially. I replaced the main bearings on the pto drive that runs the chains and pump. Then two metal hydraulic lines burst due to rust. One of the cylinders is pitted so bad it needs to be replaced but it’s got a special pulley welded to the top. Lots of other issues I’m afraid will come up once in the field. I think accumulators and grapples are the way to go.
I know you don't have this tractor anymore but I've got the Case 75A equivalent. You said you swap the hoses for the attachment to float with the green handle/ports. This is my first tractor with dual rear ports. Do you think my Case green ports is like this? I'm only used to the single rear ports on tractors and now learning what I can do with this extra set of ports. Thanks.
I see that you keep the loader on with the attachments removed while baling. I’m told it’s a 5 minute job to remove the whole loader on the new tractors. Can you do a video on that’s?
It depends on how I fell the day of when it comes to leaving attachments on the loader. Usually I keep the bale spear on when baling Incase I need to move a bale out of the way. Yes the loader is easy to remove but can certainly make a video on it soon
@@CenTexAg Lol, that about how I get mine! I like the Texas Star! Enjoy your videos! We need to meet sometime and discuss hay. I live east of San Antonio. I am retired and piddle with coastal. Yes the case should be identical to the new holland other than the paint colors
Good stuff
If you put the pin in the bottom hole on the stuffer it will take the curved shape out of the bale.
Nice I’ll have to look at that. Thanks
Run 10 to 15 bales before you adjust anything.

Did you ever make a video of the stack wagon
