Hey man, greetings from Buffalo! I also live in Buffalo and plowed this heavy wet snow! Fantastic video! Those old toros were always my favorite garden tractors!
We had 6 feet fall in 2001 that started Christmas Eve and ran for 3 or 4 days. It was awesome. Most of the snow falls south of Buffalo, in the snow belt.. have to make lemonade from the lemons my friend!
We have had our first snow here in West Central Illinois, but it was only an 1" or two and it did not last long or require me to plow. I love that rear weight that you made. Great idea I may have to copy that!! Haha! I learn so much watching the RUclips. I am happy to hear that you didn't get that 6' of snow!
And would you believe Bill, it’s all gone. Even the 6’ down in Orchard Park, pretty much all melted last week. RUclips is like a how to guide for life, hahaha!
very nice, I used my 1967 wheel Horse to day to clear last nights snow it is a comando 8 with a 3 speed transmission I rarely need to run it much over idle, original engine and trans
Well at least you're having fun Craig.... all we got was a prediction of up to 6" and Rob says all we actually got was 6 snowflakes... he's waiting patiently to get his CC 1641 out in the snow and play, he's spent enough time on it getting it hopefully to where he likes it. And I'll have a surprise tomorrow for my channel... Looks like he bought me a pony for my B-day... although it's early guess he couldn't hide it to easily.... Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Merrie~Merrie
No chains on this one. Had them on the 416-8, but this 520-H I use AG tires which do pretty well. Most days I wish I was in Ohio than in NY, have family in Cincinnati, my Dad is from there.
I've been watching that artic dip, looks like you and Bill Goudy are in the thick of it. But I did see some warmth to the west... Its too early for this cold, I have work to do on the snowmobile trail! I don't want to pound stakes into frozen ground! LOL!
Maybe it's me but are your tires on your 4 wheeler on backwards? My sportsman's tires have the "v" sort of speak towards the front going forward. Mine are one direction only.
Sorry I see it now that was the rear end of your 4wheeler. I've been plowing at Alden schools for 3 days now and our Kabota side by side had the wheels in the wrong direction. My bad
I have the 1976 C160 with the plow. Both bought new. y my father. The plow works way better than the single stage snowblower Wheel Horse sold back then.
Those are two front disc brakes off my Grand Cherokee, welded together and painted. The rest on top of my rear ball hitch. Add like 45 pounds, makes a huge difference.
We have friends and family in Orchard Park area, the snow is ridiculous but believe it or not, things are quickly getting back to normal. 7 feet over 3 days is a lot but you just snowblow on the hour and the plows keep rolling... we handle it well. Once Lake Erie freezes its just winter.
I live in the Amherst Williamsville area which is 10-15 miles north of The Hamburg Orchard park area got 8-10 inches Thursday night then Friday night into Saturday got 12-14 inches then Saturday evening got another 5-6 inches glad I didn’t get 7 feet lol
Why does no one have bank/drift bars for their snowblowers there, I grew up near the base of the thumb in Michigan back in the 60's and my dad had them on his snowblower and we'd get less snow than Y'all get?
Blasdell was 60" the last record I saw, but they probably received another few inches overnight as the band swept from North Tonawanda, south into ski country. Things are clearing out and getting back to normal.
40ºs the last few days, our snow pack of 18" is almost gone. It'll take a while to melt 77" in Orchard Park but rain this weekend will pack it all down.
All that for 3 inches of snow
You have to love it when the snow blows back in your face. Takes the sight right out of you.
Hey man, greetings from Buffalo! I also live in Buffalo and plowed this heavy wet snow! Fantastic video! Those old toros were always my favorite garden tractors!
This is awesome!! you live in a beautiful neighbourhood, there is snow and you can play with your plow... this is what i need. thanks for sharing.
You were right on track getting all your equipment ready for the snow.
I either knew what I was doing or lucked out. Last week or so was in the 50-60ºs, just knew it was going to change.
Craig, you make winter look .... fun.

I love the old Iron.. I have a 782 Cub Cadet. Great vid!

Wheel Horses are great tractors. Thanks for checking it out, I’m planning a restoration again soon.
Great video Craig we need rain or snow in west Tenn very dry.
Hey Danny, hope you get some rain your way... not the white stuff. It's all melting now up here, 40ºs this week. Have a nice Thanksgiving.

No chains on this one. Had them on the 416-8, but this 520-H I use AG tires which do pretty well. Most days I wish I was in Ohio than in NY, have family in Cincinnati, my Dad is from there.
I have been missed by the big snow storms but have had the single digit wind chills did make it to 49 today

I have the tall chute single, it works great but I have too many cars. Need a lot of room to turn around too.
What kind of wayt did you put on your wheel horse to weigh it down the

18 plus 6 inches is better than 7 feet!! Only a dusting here in Connecticut! I want Snow!!!

They get in the way. Good for dry wind packed snow. We don’t usually get more than a foot at a time.
@@CraigArndt My dad made good use of them for when the snowplow would bury the end of our driveway.
I got a snow cab for my wheel horse 518 h do you need to get one for your Wheel Horse 520h
Had one got tired of putting it on and taking it off.
We won't tell her. Honey bring me my phone. I have to call Craig's wife. 🤣
