This took 2 weeks to finish, minus a couple days here and there to make the videos you've seen on the channel between then and now. Pretty sure this is the longest edited video I've ever uploaded to youtube, which is a pretty cool milestone ngl. Definitely the longest building video I've ever made by a long shot, I think it was the last fallen club episode before this one. Anyway, hopefully at least 1 guy watches the whole thing lmao

6:12 Just a tip, if you want to select objects that are linked in a group, go to the pause menu and deselect 'Enable Link Controls'. When you turn them on again, it will save any linked objects!

Tip: in the "Extra" menu, in the add group button. There's a "No Effects" checkbox. And if you click it... Any object, whether it's a pad's circle effect, or the blue pad and gravity portal's little lines on the screen, or the lightning on the mini and big portals, or the teleport trigger and many more... Boom. Deleted. This is really useful for transitions, or auto cube or ball, or spider, or maybe swing. Another tip: in 25:47 you said that you don't know how to stop the player from jumping? Well... Just use the options trigger. You'll find what you need in there. ANOTHER TIP: At 36:53, you ticked "Don't Fade" And "Don't Enter" There's a new block transition trigger. That basically does it for you. So you can just place it at the start of the level... Then just continue it. It's so useful.

@@TrideGD TIP: robtop gave us scale hack up to 4x and 0.25x and it's just an option in one of the settings menus, I think outside the editor
25:46 the options trigger has a checkbox called “disable p1 controls” use that

About "the player control trigger not working", that's what I thought too! But it's just the Player Control trigger is NOT meant to do what you wanna do! To stop the player from moving you have to use the "options" trigger
so then whats the point about the player control trigger
Stop slide is probably the only use of player control
@@elijah44gd79 if you are moving or jumping or sliding it will stop you until you push the button again. not too sure what it can be used for but i'm sure someone will figure out a good use for it

This has to be my favorite gd building video I've ever seen. I love watching the creation process, and I'm glad I got to see like 5 fully completed and polished levels, even if they were short!
GD World is such an underrated game. Probably the only free RobTop game actually worth downloading

"Animate on trigger" means that in only activates with a trigger, you have to put the thing in a group id and use animate or spawn triggers to activate it

First level: I like the idea of it, I feel like there was too many spider orbs ngl
Second level: love the deco so much, how to wave moves across the screen is so interesting to me
third level: the first half looks way harder than the second, looks too much like years ngl, still cool
fourth level, absolutely love how you used those portal orbs that really inspired me with my levels
fifth level: looks pretty open, something just feels off about it but I can't put my finger on it, also it's very unbalanced, I like how the camera moves with the ship.

25:55 Tride, what I like to do to stop the player from jumping is by placing a Gravity trigger and setting the gravity to 0. Idk why, but it works.

In the Skys in Limit level, where the level ends, I'd make that glowy entrance orange or yellow to indicate that it is the end of the level, since all of them are just green, it looks like you'll be teleported to another section instead of ending the level.

Insane vid mate... also, why did you not use arrow triggers instead of free fly? Your gameplay could've been even better than it is (nearly impossible btw). Keep up the content!
this guy can kinda do anything he wants in the editor when the last thing i learnt how to do was use the move trigger although he did kinda teach me the mechanics of other triggers in this video
The 2nd lv gave me inspiration to make a platformer with that style
I hope robtop adds a end trigger edit that makes it so your player doesn't freeze, then go into the end but makes it smooth with no stop
on lines fading wave part, you should use the tight corridors and when you enter them they get bigger but not by much and there's also a lot of spikes. that would be a cool coin

25:45 Sadly the player control trigger doesn't work as of 2.204. But, you can disable and enable P1 or P2 controls with the options trigger!
I was thinking of doing this, but I think the grandmaster himself did it better! Awesome video Tride!
As in for the part at 25:48 You can actually just use the "options" trigger to stop the player from moving / Jumping
You can also do way more with the options trigger and you might wanna check that out even more.
Maybe in the future try messing with EVERY trigger. I've tried that before and some surprised me so much.
