I'm seeing the same lack of padding on the posterior portion of the interior that I've got with my SO Rover. Instead of padding, it's got little rubber nubs dig into the back of my head; I was hoping to maybe upgrade to the Forefront 2, but now I'm not so sure.

Smith Optics website failed to inform people about the POV camera mount on the Forefront 2 helmet.
That plugged hole on top is covering a nut. a POV camera or Light&Motion head light mount with a short bolt attaches to the built in hole on top. BTW... Smith is out of all the forefront helmets except the opal small. UGLY color and wrong size. If they really want to sell helmets, they need to keep all the colors and sizes in stock until they put out the next year model, then sell off the old stock.
As a person who survived a bad collision, the Smith forefront saved my life. I strongly believe that all bicycle helmets need to incorporate a POV camera mount. The only reason the drivers insurance was forced to pay my $50k in injuries/property damage was because i had video evidence that she ran the red light while texting. Her insurance initially denied my claim. My attorney subpoenaed her phone records that matched the time stamp on the video. I had a green light, she ran the red. She spent a year in jail for texting a driving (first offense) . Without a camera rolling, insurance companies won't pay claims. Even tho the driver admitted fault. You have to have video evidence.. I'm just waiting for SmithOptics to build a ForeFront MIPS with a built in camera. I would be willing to pay $700 for a good quality helmet with a built in POV camera. (next generation helmets..?)

That helmet was listed on amazon just as "Matte Gravy" so not sure if it was black or brown, but I feel it was definitely a black helmet ; )
