A giant squid weighing less than half a ton would simply not have the strength to overpower a 60 tons megalodon (or up to 100 tons if we use the highest estimates) whose body is essentially muscle. Even white sharks (significantly smaller than the megalodon and even smaller in length than the giant squid) can feed on giant squid.
