Coin Eating ‘Bot’

The Coin Eating ‘Bot’ is not just a toy, it is a fun project that kids can build with their own hands. Building a robot allows you to learn basic mechanics, develop STEM skills, and practice fine motor skills.
The excitement in this project is that the electronic circuit is only completed when a coin is placed by the pupil into the ‘arms’ of the bot. The metal coin completes the circuit, activating the bot so the whole mechanism opens up to swallow the coin. As the coin slips inside, the circuit breaks and the bot closes again, ready for the next coin.
