The London School of Mathematics and Programming is a unique institution that helps children to develop their intellectual and cognitive skills. We offer independent courses in Mathematics, Programming, Robotics and Early Intellectual Development while also supporting school studies and helping children prepare for exams. Our teaching approach is highly systematic. We make sure each subject is thoroughly learned and understood so our pupils solve problems through logic rather than memorizing theory. Our aim is to help children understand and love mathematics and coding, be inventive, open-minded and strive to think outside the box. To achieve this we provide an engaging and enriching environment in which children can develop their abilities far beyond the ordinary.
Summer STEM Camps 2024
After an incredible four weeks, our total of 15 STEM camps that we ran for ages 4 to 16 have officially come to an end! Together with our pupils, we explored the fascinating world of robotics, programming, science, and maths: from building robots to coding projects, from hands-on experiments to olympiad level problem solving, these weeks have been an unforgettable journey of discovery and innovation.

Aircon Project

The Science component of our summer STEM camp will focus on a project to build a portable battery powered model of a cooling or ‘aircon’ unit. Children will learn safety with electronics before assembling laser cut components to create the casing of their cooling unit. They will then instal a battery pack and switch, plus a motor with a fan mounted on it to complete their own working model.

This is a Green Energy Project demonstrating how wind energy can power homes. Having studied safety rules in electronics and the principles of operation of electrical circuits, children assemble a fan that provides wind. This is so awesome. Great job team!
I agree on the importance of math proof to our learners. They are not there to simply accept what we teachers tell them (or believe or trust). It's part of a good math education. However, the question is: are young students able to make proofs? Studies showed some time ago the high school is not the right time and we should wait a while.
