Hello from Japan! So happy to see you two really love the Japanese candies x I’d love to send you some if you’re still up for trying Japanese snacks? :) x
Dashi is like a Japanese vegetables/chicken broth that is added with Japanese spices and another flavours, its kind of a soup served with most Japanese dishes
awesome video, I am from Australia but I love your openness to different tastes, so many of these type of videos just hate on different countries food because they are not familiar with the taste, well done guys!!!
17:00 These umaibo sticks actually cost about 10 cents or 10 yen each. So even if you only kind of like it you can still get them for practically nothing.
I am making my way through all your try videos which I am enjoying immensely. You two are alot fun and I love the idea trying food from around the world. Have you considered doing a Kit Kat testing with all the flavors from Japan?
So happy you liked most of my countries snacks :)!! Our Sodas actually don’t have a lot of sugar like wester countries so I think that’s why it would seem bland to others
Picky comes in so many flavors you should just get as many as possible and taste THEM ALL. I really like the matcha ones but also the pizza rolls are weird but great
I just came across your channel, love watching you both!! Not sure if your siblings or BF/GF but your fun to watch. I'm from America, the San Francisco Bay Area in Cali. I love hi ow you guys say "aluminum", so great!
I think u guys are great.Love that u try candy from all over.I was in England for a bit in England and ur candy is different then in US.but good.Gladvi found u guys.
I know that this is very late, but you should try Malaysian snacks/candies. I would suggest: Mamee Monster Noodle Snack Yupi Gummi Burger Yan Yan (different flavours) Haw flakes Sugus Ice Gems biscuits Mini bun biscuits - these are sweet, melt in your mouth candy breads Malaysian Milo (don't get the Australian one, it's not as nice) - Milo is a chocolate malt drink which is good both iced or hot. Also any type of kuih, especially kuih bahulu and kuih kapit (love letters). Kuih means cake in Malay and usually refers to their traditional coconut (sorry Kate!) based traditional sweets. Malaysian Twisties I haven't tried all of these myself as I had many food allergies as a child, but I think it would be interesting for the 2 of you to try. But actually our street food is so good so if you do get the chance, Malaysia is such a food heaven especially Penang. YourOnly Favorite hey love, just letting you know. You don’t have to be British to speak properly. And yes speaking properly while not being British people can or may look at you weird but hey you’re the one talking, not them.
I am Japanese. You may feel that Japanese sweets are a little from overseas, but Japanese sweets are very easy to eat and delicious! Sorry for my poor English🙏
angie moses Just tuned into Kate and subscribed, while glancing through comments I noticed yours.... the root beer barrels are so great. I used to have them and drink water so it was kinda of like root beer drink. And red hots are to die for.
Root beer is so nasty! Why would you do that to poor unsuspecting people. Lemon heads are pretty good, but red hots are not that great, and she wouldn't like them because they are stronger flavored than hot tamales, and she couldn't handle those.
I love pocky!!! Though i never wanted to try the green tea flavor. Lol thank goodness i didn't. But i do love the strawberry, chocolate, banana and chocolate with nuts so far.
I once had japinese chocolate that was only made in winter because it was soooo melty that it would turn liquid in the heat of summer. They instantly melted the moment you popped it in your mouth. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called, and the store I bought it in is now 5000 milees away since my move.
I love Japanese candies and snacks. Eat them all the time because I'm a big Japanese Anime and Manga fan. I get my Japanese snacks and candies through a Gaming store I go play Warhammer 40k at because they also sell comics, manga, and anime too. I also get Akibento Japanese snack and candy boxes myself.
I wish they would have set up the cherry blossom candy. The green disk was a plate, the paper a back round and the two round candies you would set on the disk. Like a little mini fancy display. Silly but fun. Well they did the best they could have. Japanese candy can be very whimsical.
I have tried all of those myself, I have never ordered that subscription box. However I have bought them individually from a online Japanese store, I prefer to decide myself what to buy since I have allergies and that site is in English, so… :)
Katiedolly18 emmymadeinjapan was the first taste test channel for me and she does other things as well like recreating retro recipes, unusual food or trying MREs.
I have been studying Japanese for 4 years now and you pronounced the Japanese words almost perfectly! Not a fail for sure! And also I would not use Google Translate in the future, it works for other languages as far as I know but Japanese is just not meant for it, try Jisho.com or JED if you want accurate translations :) those are the ones I use for class and in daily life :D I love your videos!
I love these food try videos, it so cool to see new food from other countries. Your videos are always so good and I love your personality
Thank you! I know I love seeing what other people eat and how it's different 😀😊

angie moses Just tuned into Kate and subscribed, while glancing through comments I noticed yours.... the root beer barrels are so great. I used to have them and drink water so it was kinda of like root beer drink. And red hots are to die for.
damn you’re not lying about those boston baked beans lolol
Root beer is so nasty! Why would you do that to poor unsuspecting people. Lemon heads are pretty good, but red hots are not that great, and she wouldn't like them because they are stronger flavored than hot tamales, and she couldn't handle those.

The matcha Pocky are very good but takes getting used tro. I've had them in Japan but a local store in America sells them too.
I once had japinese chocolate that was only made in winter because it was soooo melty that it would turn liquid in the heat of summer. They instantly melted the moment you popped it in your mouth. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called, and the store I bought it in is now 5000 milees away since my move.
I’ve had the matcha pocky, the flavor is called green tea. I love those. I don’t know if I’ve had the other ones you ate. I love your videos!
