Merci beaucoup pour voter leçon de français très interéssant, mais j’ai pensé qu’ici’ signifie ‘here’ en anglais et ‘la’ signifie ‘there’. Donc pourquoi dissez vous ‘je suis allé ici’ au lieu de ‘je suis allé la' to mean ‘I went there’?
This was very useful, thank you! I have visited France a few times, but not for a long time. So this was very helpful to me so I can improve my French. You are a great teacher!
Trying to learn french recently. I know all this stuff, but its really handy to hear your accent to get used to how french people actually speak :) plus, your asmr content is ace
I am on the autism spectrum, and one thing that has made languages hard for me is that teachers tend to be really loud and very sharp in their vocal tone so that they can articulate words. I have a hard time concentrating because my ears just hate loudness and I don’t like the shrillness of their voice. I’m returning to French again and this makes it so much more enjoyable for me. I would love to see more videos like this.
Merci beaucoup! French is so beautiful, especially with a feminine voice. I never studied French, but I have picked up a few words and phrases over the years. I never realized how much/little I knew until I visited Senegal and needed to use it. A little French and a little Wolof go a long way there.
Tu expliques vraiment tellement bien. Sa dépasse une vidéo ASMR non seulement c'est relaxant mais aussi très intéressant et on peut clairement bcp apprendre.
I wish I had you for my French teacher, I've learned more in 27 minutes than i ever did in 5 years of high school, so thank you and hopefully look forward to another lesson .
Love this video. Very educational! But it has driven home the point that I can forget about ever truly learning French. I'll never in a million years ever get the pronunciation right.
French is such a pleasant language to listen to, even if you don't understand what is being said. It is almost as though ASMR was made for the French language.
Back in school I really hated French class for whatever reason, but this video has given me a new interest in the language and makes me want to practice everything I’ve forgotten over the years, thank you!
Thank you, I shall watch your French videos again in case we are ever allowed to travel again. I survived two days in Paris last year with four sentences: Je ne parle pas très bien le français; Parlez vous anglais?; je voudrais ... and a handful of critical nouns like café and pain du chocolat (the essential food groups) and L'addition, s'il vous plait. The only time it failed me was in the taxi on the way to the hotel. The driver spoke no English, none of our group spoke French well... but as it turned out she could speak passable Italian so I was talking to her in a mixture of Italian and Pidgin French (when she didn't know the Italian), and to the others in anglais. My head hurt by the time we reached the hotel.
'Un petit peu' remided me of a couple of embarassing moments speaking French for me. Firstly getting petit pois and petit peu mixed up, and secondly calling my French friend mon petit chou-fleur, instead of petit chou, which she found hilarious 😂Love your videos (and your accent) very much
I can speak, read and write English and Spanish perfectly well but with French lessons I used to write "J'aime apple Dave Dogge !" I was that bad. Yes you read that right as 'apple'. There is probably a French language Connection with Wales in Great Britain and Galicia in Spain but I don't really know about the Galic history of those regions.
Thank you so much! That's definitely a series of videos I will keep on making, I love being able to both relax and teach people! Actually, I've recorded today a french trigger words video today, perfect to learn more vocabulary :)
@@BehindTheMoons I can't wait to see! Thank you for making these videos. You are easily one of my favorite creators and your videos have been a staple in my viewing. This is especially true during these interesting times. I'm an essential worker in the US (coordinating senior meals) and the days are chaotic. Your content has been an amazing unwind for me after a shift and before I fall asleep. Merci beaucoup!
This was cool, I especially like how you threw in informal words/phrases/greetings and the hesitation sound. I never really thought about it but I suppose most languages have a hesitation sound, like "um" and "uh" in American English. By the way, what kind of accent do you have? I have a good ear for different accents/dialects in English and Spanish, but I have no idea about French.
fun fact: in Croatian, we have the same word "coucou" but it is written as "ku-ku" and it means "peek-a-boo" or an exclamation you'd say when you see someone and want to surprise them :D
This thing with the numbers above sixty nine is so weird, knowing that french is a cousin language to PT, ES, DE, ITA and EN, and all of them follow a very similar counting pattern.
I get the higher numbers, definitely weird when you first see them, but if you understand the pattern that's started in the teens, it at least makes sense.
Question: If you are speaking to someone would it be considered rude to just start speaking with them and not address them as "Monsieur: or "Madame" at some point? Here in the Southeastern United States it is considered proper etiquette to address others, especially older adults, as "Ma'am" (short for Madam) or "Sir", whether you know them or not, especially when answering questions or acknowledging instructions, as in, "Did she tell you where she was going?" "No Ma'am. She did say anything. She just left." Many from other parts of the USA find this strange. Some even think it is rude, especially if the other person is not particularly old.
Nope, it's not considered rude :) Using the "vous" for a single person instead of "tu" is a formal way of addressing a stranger. Using "Monsieur" or "Madame" is not rude but it sounds a bit weird, except if you are addressing an old person.

"de les ou d'les" doesn't exist. We say "des" instead. Yes "bonne nuit!" is "good night!" and you say it when it's very late or when one of you will go to bed.

Pleasant only when spoken by women, I think. It is not a masculine language at all.
