hey i used to watch your bts reactions glad you found blackswan. so yeah the monthly listeners and not having big songs is common for groups from small labels. this is why bts success was so highlighted because they grew their small label into what it is now. the problem with hybe is the groups are all great and many wouldnt be big without being tied to hybe and therefore bts. the first global kpop group title for katseye was probably done by hybe ceo and the geffen records in the states trying to market them but doing it wrong. btw the ceo isnt bang pd its some other dude so yeah. basically most of hybe is seperate from bts so anything hybe does thats weird and seems to contradict bts journey/history/organic and ethical practices are not a reflection of bts or other groups in hybe because hybe isnt a label theyre a corporation and every label under hybe works independantly from the other and doesnt always have to report to the higher ups they just do what they do etc. especially katseye being in hybe america not hybe korea plays a huge part in this mix up. any group that is not from jyp, yg, sm and now isnt in a label under hybe will have less attention and views, streams etc they seem "bad" or "low" but its really great for smal labels. of course not being korean will play a part in them specifically but theyre still doing great for a small label group and every release gets better and better. also just a fyi monthly listeners is not a reflection of success. as a army the way to know the artists are organically successful is if the numbers match on multiple platforms regardless of low or high. if the streams are low but monthly listeners are high sales are low and youtube views are very very high theres inconsistence and probably not the artists real numbers. for example if a artist gets played on radio and gets put on curated industry spotify playlists their monthly listeners will grow because it reflects when 1 person clicked to listen to a song. if theyre new and only listen that 1 time they add to that months monthly listener amount. so if a song snippet goes viral on tiktok and 1000s go to spotify to listen to the full song and they dont like the song just the viral section those 1000 people make the monthly listeners increase for that month the next month it will decrease because those 1000 people didnt continue to listen to the music. so monthly listener isnt a good view of if people are tuning in or not especially for spotify because majority of small labels fandoms are in korea and they dont typically have large reach globally yet this has changed as its normalized to be more online since bts did that but if a kpop fan has other groups to watch they may not see new ones often especially big 3 group stans they typically stick to groups in those labels. with hybe its different because hybe doesnt = SM hybe isnt a label SM is. so the groups under hybe are from multiple different separate labels so they will have different levels of support some like many groups in hybe some stick to 1 group some stick to 1 label under hybe etc for small labels tho they barely get attention in korea and have more of a chance outside korea but for the most part the biggest portion of their fans are in korea using korean platforms like Melon which is their own streaming service or youtube. spotify and apple music are available there but most dont use apple because they have samsungs and most choose melon over other apps. this is all to say blackswan is doing great and that their montly listeners or anyones monthly listeners arent always a reflection of how big they are or how theyre doing. bts monthly listeners match with the streams on multiple platforms including country specific like melon in korea and line in japan (i think) and youtube views in multiple countries/overall view counts etc thats why we know this because some artists in the states have low streams low sales cant sell out a stadium of fans but are heard constantly on the radio, are on many playlists made by spotify not the "made for you" but actually curated by spotify execs, and monthly listeners are very high. this is cause playlists and radio are paid for. im talking some of the biggest "superstars" in the states cant sell out arena or theaters but especially not stadiums these are all different concert venues based on how many seats so stadiums have 65,000 - 100,000 seats while arena has 5,000 - 20,000 this can vary a bit but anywhere 65,000 and up is a stadium and a lot of american "superstars" cant fill them not only in the u.s but in other countrys. global artists get the name global if theyre big globally suppsoed to be common sense but in the u.s global means american artist regardless of if they actually fit the global criteria or not. like if they perform out of u.s theyre automatically seen as global when it matters if they sell out stadiums globally and most dont even at home in their country. this is important to understand because artists from other countries have such high standards placed on them and are still seen as not global if theyre not big in the u.s or even if they are big like bts theyre not acknowledged because media and industry dont acknowledge so its doesnt become normalized for the public to accept it. like taylor swift its a collective acknowledgement for americans to see her as a superstar global artist not saying she dont deserve the title but bts are doing just as well as her and in some cases surpass her but so many still deny them being in the same level as any american artist let alone the superstars in the u.s. this not acknowledging moving the goal post etc hurts all artists that arent from u.s and especially those not from english speaking western countries. even u.k and australian artists have trouble but theyre still way more accepted than artists who arent making english music or artists who arent from a western nation etc. most of the top artists who got big here conformed by making english music or collabing. bts also do those things but their difference is they were already big here before they decided to also try it and you can see the level of respect grew with the english songs but not enough to see bts and top american artists as equals. im ranting but its all to say blackswan can break through if they continue to try to get non koreans fans attention and even if they dont break through it wont be cause of them it would be cause theres a seperation from letting artists non from the states reach that same level. bts has already but it wont ever feel like they did until its something the collective u.s population and industry sees as equal to our top artists. armys in the states do but non armys make every excuse possible to excuse the main reason being not from here.

Fatou actually made this song for the girls that’s why she’s not singing too
She made this and C’est Jamais Vue, other are written by popular writers and producers by Blackpink and BTS
