Now that I'm struggling with finding purpose in my life, the drifting away means so completely different to me, perhaps which is and has always been the true meaning of this song, that the person is no longer themselves and is struggling to form a connection with someone they love. This flip of meaning downright made me cry.

this is the song I choose to listen to when I need to completely break myself down and it works, as being a survivor and activist for Suicide awareness & Depression sometimes I become overwhelmed and need to break myself down, I have struggled with suicide attempts and depression for 20 years, and have wait forever for a song like this to come along that has the ability to break me down and may me stronger so I can go and attack this issue full force, I do daily streams, and it's alot when I have my own completely shattered fallen apart life,mind,spirit,and heart, but have 20K plus people who depend on me so sometimes I need to completely just let it all out and this song helps so much.!

I remember 2 years ago hearing this slow, smooth version right as a dear family friend passed away. I stood staring out over the Mississippi River after the funeral and could feel it pulse through my veins. Every word touched me deeper and the melody took my breath away. Still come back here and my heart is so heavy with emotion and feeling. What a powerful voice you have to have such an impact.

This song is how I feel everyday. Especially now since my father is passing and my daughter just turned eight. She feels like an entirely different daughter slowly drifting just like this song. Everyday, I feel like I can't breathe. So in essence it is as if I am drowning each day. I do have a purpose in life and it is to create better peace and harmony in the county where I live. This dream will become possible! I can feel it in my bones! Yet I feel myself fading sometimes, but this dream will create the fading in all who dream big and make it happen!!!!

The radio don't speed it up themselves, they play the Robin Schulz remix. I suppose because it's more upbeat. I prefer it to the original, it's too slow otherwise, just gets boring after a while.
