I wasn't gonna comment but I've been watching this video assuming you're a channel with tens of thousands of subs and when I actually checked the count, I was kind of shocked. This is crazy high quality and well researched for the audience size. Please keep it up, this was a fantastic video.
thanks for this video. For a series that prides itself on questioning the past, it was really frustrating to see what they did to Cleopatra and Caesar. Even Ptolemy deserved more character than what he got
Couldn't have said it better. I am so annoyed by this game and its completely perverted portrayal of history. And what frustrates me the most is the fact that most people don't see it and praise it so much.
Good video mate. I've just met Cleopatra in the game. It is a good game but I do find myself skipping a lot of the the cut scenes or get up and make a brew when they are on. It's an amazing world but it's so fecking huge!
I am looking for more information on the last years, collapse, and the after math of the of the Roman Empire can you cover a video on those events? also love the map plz include more maps in future videos!
That's a fascinating subject - I wonder if there's a game that's set at the time of the fall of the Roman Empire? I saw a game called 'The Age of Decadence' a hardcore RPG inspired by that period and mixed with fantasy elements. I'm also a big fan of maps and I try to include them wherever I can.
No one has rights over people who died thousands of years ago - I'm glad to say - the idea of personality rights (the right of an individual to control the commercial use of their identity) has it's origins in late 19th Century law as far as I can find out - so maybe Assassin’s Creed Syndicate would be the first major release in the series where Ubisoft would have to consider the issue - even so I doubt it would influence them very much. Interesting question once you start thinking about it

Thanks Dave. Yeah totally agree, I've worn my kettle out making cuppas during the cut scenes in this game but the game world is beautiful.

@@MissionPast ok thank you will check it out
Does ubisoft need to get rights to use historical characters?

Well unless Cleopatra comes back and sues Ubisoft they shouldn't need to acquire any rights.
I mean ok?
