I bought this set ages ago but I’m not much of a drawer so I actually just cracked it open. My first kneaded eraser and I am hooked! So amazing. I’m pretty pleased with my set overall. In my set it seems like the 3H and 5H might be reversed as far as the labeling. The only one I’ve had issues sharpening was the hard charcoal. That one snapped on me 3 times, but the pencils did fit in the sharpener! Thanks for the review!

They wrapped the charcoal so it won't dirty the package (In case it scarps), no one would buy a dirty package. good video btw :)

for the sharpener thing, just use a knife, or anything of the sort, and increase the size of the hole. i did that and now the charcoal pencils work

You carved the opening to the sharpener itself with a knife so the pencil will fit? Now that's one I've never heard before. :-0

Bro I just got this and when I hear you say “if you drop the graphite pencil it will shatter” and then the second I think bout it I stop it on accident and it shatters 😭 any fixes?

Glue? Staples? Plaster cast? Nothing will help a shattered pencil. But a glass of bourbon will ease a shattered soul. 😉

The 5h? Nope. I did my shading test of the 5h against my Mitsubishi Hi Uni pencils and verified that the 5h was actually an h pencil. While that's not great on the quality control issue, I happen to not like to use any pencil harder than a 2h, and this kit does not come with an 'h' pencil to begin with. So now I have an 'h' pencil! I just scratched off the 5h and wrote 'h' and that's fine with me. But clearly they do need to address this and I've informed them of this. I'm happy that they are sending me a new kit at no cost. Hopefully it passes the grades in that kit.
