I met Geraint when he would occasionally play for us at the Lexington restaurant in Cardiff. A quiet, unassuming young man with a tremendous talent. PS before that, I had seen you in Liverpool where I was a student in those days. Maybe you remember the gig, a stellar line up with, as I remember, Hendrix and The Nice. Tickets were a fiver - those were the days!
A mate of mine at university had this album and I spent two years looking for a copy before I found it in a bargain bin in Northampton in the early 80s. Love it. Forward to the present and I had the great good luck to meet Geraint and AFL at the Hampton Pool 'Low Riders' gig in the summer of 2017. Two smashing blokes, incredibly friendly and generous with their time to share some stories and sign the sleeve. Now I have the CD with the bonus tracks - more Geraint, woohoo! Buy it while you can.
Ah - Stuart Colman's show Echoes on BBC Radio London. I sometimes listen to Teensville by Chet Atkins (the theme tune) just to imagine those lovely Sunday mornings listening to the show. I don't half miss it.
@@junglerecords He did! I thought that was very responsive thinking from the BBC. I have a cassette somewhere of the very last show - Dr Rock (Charles White) was a guest on it, of course. You would've thought there would be recordings of full shows floating around on the net, but I've never found any.
Or better, stream or download from any of the many services that will pay money that will filter back to Geraint! (Freegal is funded by US Public Libraries but as yet no funds get forwarded for music use.)
I’ve gotten so much pleasure from the Welsh Mafia. Quality and fun.

What a nice story, many thanks.

He was the person who led a demonstration to BBC Radio One, requesting More Rocknroll. And they gave him a weekly show!

If you live in the USA you can download a free copy of the album (extended version) through public libraries that offer Freegal.
