Lo Celso is an incredible dribbler, great first touch too. He looks very difficult to get the ball off him, unless you commit 2 or 3 guys each time (which opens up space for the other attackers). I would say that his final ball and his crossing is a bit suspect, but that can be ironed out. He's 23 and a full international. I'm impressed with his skills and he would add something to Spurs, 100%. He'll need a solid midfield behind him though, so we need to get busy.

Here as a potentially excited Spurs fan! From what little I've seen of Lo Celso, he's got great pace over ten yards and is incredibly direct, always looking to turn and drive forward and seemingly quite successful at simply ghosting past defenders and playing a killer ball. This kid's twenty three years old so it's probably a little too early to make a judgement on whether or not he's potentially world class, but he's got a very mature playing style and bags of ability and with 15+ goals and 10+ assists this season, he's clearly got an eye for goal. Plus which Poch has proven he can make any player better, Eriksen was a £20m player when Poch arrived and now there's talk of £100m+ to Barca. Kane was a £15m player and now he's valued in excess of £150m. Poch has proven he adds value to the club's assets, so it should be a no brainer. What I will say for certain is, in today's crazy market he's worth £53m all day long, so if Spurs are serious about this transfer they need to not fuck about and offer the true value, circa £65-70m and get it done. Is it good value? Well, having just mentioned Eriksen, if this deal is to negate the effect of selling him, then I'd say forget it. Spurs need to strengthen, not sell our star playmaker and replace them with a relatively untested prospect, regardless of how good they look. Lo Celso can still play an integral part and probably as many as 40 games a season as part of Poch's well employed squad rotation policy. Spend your money Levy! And, at the same time get Ben Chilwell from Leicester and Wan Bisakka from Palace to replace Trips and Davies and Mitrovic from Fulham to replace Llorente. Then we have incredible depth in squad and all for probably £150-175m, or more simply put, one and a half Paul Pogba's! Starting XI: Lloris, Chilwell, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Bisakka, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Son, Eriksen, Kane. Bench players: Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Foyth, Walker-Peters, Aurier, Rose, Davies, Wanyama, Dier, Skipp, Moura, Lo Celso, Mitrovic.
One: Eriksen's leaving. Why do you think Spurs are so keen on spunking 53 million on Lo Celso? He's his replacement. Two: Spurs are not signing both Wan-Bissaka and Chilwell. The latter is bound to Man City... Wan-Bissaka's signature is far too hotly contested as it is. Spurs won't be able to financially outmuscle some of the teams chasing him. Three: You're definitely not going to spend 52 million on Lo Celso to have him sat on the bench. Starter for sure. Four: Please win the champions league, Tottenham. Save the world from Liverpool.
@@alexwangechi7175 - I'm not entirely sure whether Eriksen is off or staying?! But wouldn't necessarily argue that point either way. Re: Chilwell, there's every chance Spurs will go in for him, he's considered a £40-50m player which is well within out remit, plus which Poch has long been an admirer and has identified our full back positions as areas for improvement. City don't need replacements in either FB position with Mendy, Walker, Danilo etc and in order to adhere to FFP they'd have to ship one or two in the same position minimum to accommodate Chilwell, so I can't see that happening. Wan Bisakka is my guilty pleasure, and yes, his signature will be hotly contested, but if Spurs are serious, why not challenge other top clubs for him. He was initially tipped for Utd but that'd be career suicide if he joined currently, Arsenal are nowhere near as desirable at the moment, neither are Chelsea and they have a transfer embargo, Liverpool have Alexander-Arnold in that position, so they're out. So you see where I'm coming from, Aaron said he wants to stay in the EPL, so where does he go? In respect of Lo Celso, yes £53m might be excessive for a player to start on the bench, but let's not pretend Spurs aren't used to that, moat of the season we've had Sanchez on the bench (£42m), season before it was Sisokko (£38m), season before that it was Soldado (£32m).
