The level of negligence from the doctors, cps workers, the judge and police is atrocious. They let this boy die.
And in addition ignorance of defendants attorney. System continues to fail
Call it out loud sister! It’s unacceptable how they failed this poor kid
This is shocking.Didnt speak to Corey alone.Epic fail all round here. His Mother should be suing left right and centre.Hope this pile of dung does get on the stand.
Gregor just had to say that the boys mother was a drug addict and no further investigation happened. He even got the hospital not to call her when her son was dying.
They should all be held responsible for how they handled each investgation they all let that sweet boy down how do you all sleep at night
Separating the child seems basic to me. His father was obviously a bully to his child. He wouldn’t be honest in front of his father. Those bruises seemed severe to me.
Exactly. The emergency custody could have gone to either of the grandparents
Absolutely
Child family services need to be sued!
Yes, agree! Mom should sue CPS workers for utterly failing to do their job and protect her son, he would be alive today if her call to CPS had been acted on correctly! Unfortunately men look out for men :(
How many times have we said this, and NOTHING happens. NOTHING!
Cannot sue the agency! It has IMMUNITY! It’s EVIL!!! 😡
I agree
All those bruises and injuries and you think the child is fine give me a break
Wonder how many seconds it took for the defendant to tell them his father was a New Jersey state trooper
@rumakingthatup and I read that his father also did work with Homeland Security, and still was at the time this happened. Knew people.
@@carriewittbrodt5072 if the authorities weren't aware when they first made contact with the defendant I'm sure he brought it up. Prosecution needs to recall the two cops and ask them under oath and ask each* one of the defense witnesses if the defendant mentioned his dad, when they became aware of the paternal grandfather's position, and point blank ask them how that effected their decision and all in front of a jury.
@rumakingthatup I absolutely agree that this is a valid question
Corey was teriified of his dad, and when the police did a welfare check, Corey had bruises everywhere, they didnt seperate the boy from his dad, but interviewed dad and son together, did they exspect 6 year old Corey to tell on his dad, well knowing he would be alone with him after they left ???? Corey didnt even want to tell the nurse in the hospital, he was scared his dad would find out
Totally agree! That poor baby didn’t want to say anything in front of his Monster!
Also t that should be absolute protocol to take the kid outside. My son accidentally called 911 one time and they took him away from me and spoke with him by themselves. So disheartening so horrible.
i sure hope the jury sees thireough this mess of a trial but i am loosing confidence in this case. such a porly run trial and so many breaks and times in between. i saw another trial where ths very thing happened they talked to the child in front of the parents and a week later he was k by them why why why is this keep happening
Exactly! Action should have been taken Corey may still be alive if so!!😡
Barnegat police Department should be absolutely embarrassed at the lack of professional curiosity by these officers about this kid covered in bruises. And their lack of intelligence in separating the father from the boy and asking him by himself and even that would take a couple of minutes to get himto feel comfortable enough to tell him. This is not rocket science we are dealing with the child here they really failed this boy so many people did.
Why would the officer speak to Corey in front of Christopher?
His dad is/was in the police force...there's a bit of covering-up going on.
@@barbaralerm9310 That is what I am thinking.
Because his dad is a retired cop and Chris was being shown favoritism.
Absolutely nonsensical and idiotic.
The cops believed the father and his talking trash about the mother. The police profiled her and now a child is dead. Great job officers not doing your jobs well.
The system failed that child and everyone should be ashamed of themselves and resign as well
Those who did the wellness check should be fired from their jobs, anyone who sees bruises on a child and does not think that something weird is going on,should not get paid to do a job they are not qualified for.Totally disgusting.
How are these Cops still Employed
Yes! So many bruises, and they didn’t think they needed to talk to him by his self without his monster present
I hope not...I hope not.
They investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing.
I thought separating them was basic procedure.
The police knew the grandfather as a retired state trooper....old boys tight lip club.
SHAMEFUL...Blood on their Hands....CPS, Judges, Police, the (Gregors) grandparents all failed that beautiful little boy. 😡
Most excellent point Kimmy!!!
@@martalefave3231 it's disgusting that this still happens in the 21st Century 😡
IS it sure that officers knew Coreys grandfather and Chris? There would have been send police who doenst know them at all.
@@saararouvinen8700 Chris had a very extensive criminal record, so he would have been known to the police. And the tightknit camaraderie club of the police still continues even after retiring
....it's a given.
Covered in bruises , but nothing to be concerned about ???
Honestly men are so incompetent in every job they seem to have.
Welcome to New Jersey!! The level of incompetence is staggering!! A simple private interview without the presence of both parents could have saved this child’s life. The system completely failed poor Corey. May he rest in peace.
Even when they did have him without gregor, Corey still lied because not one adult helped him....and when he was telling in the beginning, NOT ONE ADULT believed him so he started not telling because he got beat more and got zero help...so terrible
I beg to differ. He told his mom who called CPS countless times over the course of the two years the dad was in his life. The coverup is mindboggling. Justice for Corey and his mom!!!
Welfare check was useless not doing what he was supposed to do ! Remove the child immediately
The little Boy would have been too afraid to say what was happening behind closed doors..he didn’t even confess what went on to his own Mother who he was close to.
I AGREE with you 💯 👍
I totally agree. This baby was horrified of his father, so he was not about to say what the real situation was in front of his father.
Chris the monster scared him to death literally
Life with no parole. Rip sweet angel 😇
Agree 100 %
Police neglect of a child
i bet that monster threw that football as hard as he could to his chest and stomach..
I’m thinking he tackled him like a grown man.
I think so too!! Complete Monster!! Bully!!
Yeah bc he wouldn't just outright hit him, just like the treadmill he created a situation where it could be blamed on something like playing football, yeah he probably tackled him like a grown man
I think he might have tackled him violently.
@@jenniferthompson6280 it’s so disgusting and sick. That poor baby suffered. 😢
Completely unacceptable... Corey would still be alive had they taken his condition more seriously at that time, nobody seems to have cared about the condition or visible injuries on Corey.. impossible to believe they thought everything was fine at home with his father 💀💀💀
Stupidity of the police and cps to stand as a witnesses for the defense. They though, they have done their duty and cleared their names when in fact they have just proven to the public how incompetent they are. Stupidity at its finest for helping a monster at the expense of their careers and reputation. Lols.
Especially because they saw multiple bruises on Corey’s body not just his forehead bruise. Just pathetic.
@@beepbopboop7727 exactly 💯 correct
They All Failed Corey💔
The system failed this child ...its obvious no one cared enough
And Judge Patrick Bradshaw should have granted that protection order and given custody of Corey to the grandparents.
That's a great example of two cops going through the motions. They had no desire to hear anything beyond the yarn the killer dad was soinning for them then on to the doughnut shop.
The cops did nothing. They are just as guilty of Cory’s death.
Just look how Strong Daddy sit smiling next to his dying son..Evil!
Yes I cannot comprehend it, the boy is literally dying and this evil, satan in human form, just smiles
Very sloppy!
The officer didn't act professional. One thing corey and Chris should have been separated and the scrapes and bruises were definitely visual clues all wasnt okay. Then gave the CPS an all clear.
Both officers were unprofessional.
And the judge should have granted the protection order to the grandparents whilst they investigated.
chris is abuser and his dad s covering him up obviously! get Corey s justice! 💙🕊️🙏🏻
❤❤
❤❤❤YES
All the adults, police failed this child,,,, the system failed,
He hated Corey's mom and another thing he looked like her.He didn't look like him.
He was playing flag football you don't get brused like that playing flag football!!
Sue the officers and police department
How much the defense pay this cop for his testimony 🙄
The defence lawyer has an attitude issue. Very entitled
The defense attorney is doing an EXCELLENT impression of the comic / actor Buddy Hackett. As an actor myself it’s a light hearted observation in a brutally tragic case.
i am so upset with how this trial is going and how much influence that monsters father had over the police force and how he was able to even be a part of this case to me conflict of interest and why is judge alloweing so many breaks and why did they start the trial without having all the witnesses on both sides lined up this trial has turned into a joke and seems like Poor COrey and his mother wont get justice in the d of corey they failed him in life and now this trial is a mess .
I cannot stand his lawyer’s tone! If I was on the jury it would definitely be part of my deciding, right or wrong. He is not helping Christopher in any way!!
He's so freaking annoying.
The attorney sounds like the defendent!
Seems like a bad movie! Negligence everywhere! Poor little boy! 😢
It wouldn’t surprise me if it did turn into a movie 😞
POOR COREY, JUSTICE FOR HIM.😢😭💙😭
I wish they had done a better job and had body cams on. Am sure perfect dad casually told them about coreys druggie mom and mentioned that his own dad was leo. After all this dad felt he could do anything to Corey and get away with it. He may well be right about that the way this fiasco is going.
The book part in no touch football, so how could he have all these bruises from playing this game???!!!
Absolutely 👉
Did you isolate the child from his father when you talked to him? I bet not!
Absolutely sickening the negligence and incompetence of the officer. No excuse!! You see a child covered in bruises and do nothing.. Shame on everyone that failed this child!! You all are just as responsible for his death, as much as the father that murdered him!!!
Prosecution needs to start asking the witnesses if the defendant, unprompted, told them his father was a New Jersey state trooper.
Call those "law enforcement officers" back to answer that question on April 22. First testimony of the day.
I’m a trial junkie but it’s hard for me to watch trials of people accused of hurting children…that’s a tough one.
He only got in his life because the mom wanted to take the dude for child support. Bet she regrets doing that. Sometimes its better not to have the other parent involve .
This was done by State not mum. She was on drugs and he was removed from her. So state looked up for dad.
So embarrassing for ocean county -Shame
Le système a faillit au pauvre Cory 😢
I hope he feels guilty too to not save this little angel life. He needs to be out of the system to save kids. 😢
Full beard to hide his face. He knows what he did was wrong
Looks like a bum definitely not a cop
@@cynthiawilson5066Most “bums” are better human beings than cops.
Just because his father was playing catch w a football, that means nothing! He probably took him home and made him run on the treadmill for however many times he didn’t catch the ball, in minutes! Doesn’t catch the ball 11 times, that’s 33 minutes.
Stop calling this monster Chris 🙄
Inquiry required
The most outrageous thing is that he didn't see anything wrong with what he did and that's why he rejected the 35yrs he had been offered.May he rot in jail
It doesn't matter if they separated Corey in a room alone, he would NOT have told the truth, because everytime he did tell the truth, the people left corey there and did zero for him...and the beatings got way worse! So he learned tonstay quiet. ..so many incompetent adults sent to save him and FAILED!!!!!
Absolutely
This man should be held accountable for not correctly doing his job.
The mother did a complain, they went there, and did nothing.
You always separate the alleged victim from the alleged perp when you question a child. Everyone failed Corey. The police, doctors, CPS..
Thank you for the exceptional trial coverage. Michelle Yu's summary before the court video, and comments during, helped give context to the trial. Her follow up with professionals, gave viewers insight, that is typically not available in the moment.
I can't even watch this trial. The defense attorney is sickening, the father and his family are vomitworthy and that filthy Barnegat cop looks like he hasn't showered or brushed his teeth in a year. That poor baby. Praying for his mom too
Ríp beautiful angel. Corey you were adorable. You have touched my heart. Chris if you did not love your son then you should have returned Corey to his mother or to your parents. They all loved Corey very much.
CPS workers looked away
The poor kid he would have been threatened by father to tell I'm am so upset heartbroken for Corey
Not I mean
When I was growing up, I played hard bike riding, football, and t-ball. Horseplay! I never got that many bruises! This is BS! THE COP IS DEFINITELY A ROOKIE!!!!!!!!! This rookie is ignorant. Bruises all over the 6yo kid are not suspicious? Wow what a momo!!
They should have taken notice of Corey's mum how dare them denied
Her she is human and a mother not drug addict shame on system
Breanna you should Sue them all
Who doesn't know that children are not able to be their own advocates?
The statement of the grandfather about no wanted to see Corey mistreated says all!!
So many failed little Corey.
At 1:00 Did she say, “let’s listen to the defense followed by the prostate?”
Is there not a protocol that this guy should have followed?? Anhways, is it not common sense to not interview a victim in front of the potential abuser? He should be workiking at Walmart
Decisions have consequences. Pay up if you've made some.
Officer Dugan is not doing his duty, job well! Untrained individual 💔
🤮MONSTER🤮
Officers failed Corey totally and CPS.
Everybody failed this poor child. He was getting beat up and bullied in his on home. I think they would have payed more attention if a child from school was doing it.. idk it's just awful.
Prosecution should have asked grandfather Gregor if Corey ever sustained bruising while he played football with Corey. What about pediatrician reports of any bruising while under the care of the grandfather? Also, the day the grandparents went house hunting with Chris and Corey, why was Grandma the only one watching out for Corey's safety. She testified Corey made her nervous in the yard of one of those houses because the traffic was so close to the yard where Corey was running around. Did Chris EVER watch out for his safety? Grandma and Grandpa were doing what they've always done, cleaning up after Chris.....and Chris is an entitled man-child.
C is disgusting
When does this end
Appalling! What is the exact number of bruises that constitute actual concerns?
SHAME, shame, shame.....
When’s his court case for negligence
I hope he goes to jail for life!!!!!
He's the spitting image of a younger Chad Daybell.... Say no more
🧐"""" These Police Failed little darling Cory""" 😨😰😨😰😨😰😨😨😨
I hate these cops and every one in the legal system that had the power to remove him from that devils home ! Y’all all failed him !
Even in hindsight this guy doesn't seem very remorseful about his failure. Poor Corey never stood a chance.
Officer Daniel Dugan should have interviewed him without his father present. He was being trained by someone who failed at training him about wellness checks,,, unbelievable, and the boy ends up dying. Shame on those officers. Shame on them!!!!!
Anyone see similarity between Chad Daybell and this defendant no emotions. MONSTERS
Monster!
We all know that if the system done there job he would be alive shame on u
Wie muß sich der kleine Junge gefühlt haben als er von der Polizei im Stich gelassen wurde? Sicher dachte er niemand hilft mir da heraus.😭😭🙏
Really Corey was always afraid he was not happy at all the police was supposed to take Corey and asked him who caused the bruises he was going to tell them the problem was afraid of that monster
All his bruises were flashing red lights. Everyone but the mother failed this boy. A child that age doesn't get all those bruises. Football? No, it's not contact football at that age. No sport is going to allow a young child to be hurt over and over again to that degree. Those officers were useless, speaking to him in the presence of his father. 💔
Everyone failed Cory
I have to say ,,this so called father has his son doing the tread machine if that wasn't more then enough ,then his seen biting his sons head ,come on now ,who does that ,,makes me fume ! RIP COREY ,😥
Omg look at that face.
What a beautiful child
This officer already sent at the beginning of his questioning from the defense attorney he was with an office at training him. He was very new police officer why in the world when they said somebody inexperienced something to do a job all by himself he was being trained. I’m sure you guys catch these lines poor baby Cory needs justice and his mother
There should have been two officers. They should have separated corey and spoke to him.
He should have taken him out of his
dad care. Once he saw the Bruises.
he should have taken him aside talk to Corey separately instead in front of his father of course he would not tell what his father was doing to him. He was afraid of what his father would do to him.
The child wellnesscheck the mother has a case again them. Because she reported what was going on this her child. They should have removed him.
LE failed Corey!
This guy is useless!
Is Breanna in court?
With the exception made yesterday for the privileged father of the entitled defendant, witnesses aren't allowed in the gallery
@@rumakingthatup ah ok. I’m in uk so not aware of USA laws.
