Thanks! I’m glad you like the video. I think the Mavic 2 Zoom is terrific for videography but imagine the Pro is better for photography. It’s amazing how handy the zoom feature is; I use it all the time. Compared to the Mavic Pro "v1", the Mavic 2 Zoom sports a much improved auto focus, better dynamic range and better low light sensitivity.

Thanks for publishing these! These shots are amazing. I'm leaning towards the zoom model myself, I think I'll use it more than the extra resolution/larger aperture. I think the night images are sharp for the zoom, but still a little grainy... but I'm not too worried abt. low light.

The videos of Vancouver and Seattle are both recorded with the Mavic 2 Zoom. All others were recorded with the Mavic 1 or the Spark.

Thanks! I am glad you liked the video! Yes. I did do some limited color correction on some of the clips since the air was very smokey for part of the video shoot due to large forrest fires in British Columbia at the time.
Is the Adobe Premiere Pro 11.0 able to type Chinese? I am searching for a video editing software now, and want to get the first-hand info, thanks and good weekend!
I have not personally tried it but it is definitely possible to use Chinese type in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Thanks! I’m glad that you liked the video! For each shot, I positioned myself in a way to minimize the possibility of signal interference. The Mavic’s radio is impressive but it will lose contact if you fly behind a building, etc so you have to plan ahead to make sure you always have a straight line of sight to the drone.

Epic footage! I just checked out your channel and you have really great videos. I'm sorry if you've been asked this before, but I'm curious why you chose the Zoom over the M2P? I am researching for my first drone, and I like what I see from both, but the Zoom looks like it has a sharper clearer image, while the Mp2 looks maybe a little too soft and warm? I know it's supposed to be "cinematic" but it seems that it's more suited for photography and the Zoom is better for video? How well does the Zoom do in low light/night time? This is impressive! I've recently started making videos using my Mavic 2 Zoom and the DJI editor in the GO 4 app is the best I've found on my phone. I like how the app is set up, but I'd like to start uploading to youtube in a higher quality. The app only supports 1080 :( Any suggestions? What do you use to put your clips together? Also do you use luts?

Thanks! I am glad you liked the video! I did not really use any filters. I did correct some colors in post to account for varying degrees of smoke that was in the air due to all the forrest fires that were burning in BC at the time.

Yes. Exactly. Auto/default on all the camera settings. I did make a few adjustments in editing to equalize varying sun intensity during the day.

Y’all this zoom vértigo effect on the Mavic 2 zoom can easily be replicated with the Mavic air in post production by using the key frame compositing. I’ll post some footage in my Chanel on how to do this.. don’t pay the extra $500
Yes. If you have a small budget, obviously you should go with the Mavic Air. It’s much cheaper and it’s still a very capable little drone, but if you can afford to go with the Mavic 2 Zoom or even the Mavic 2 Pro. They are much more capable: more range, better camera, better gimbal, etc... I have flown them all but some of my best footage was captured with a cheapo Spark. For instance take a look at the following videos that I captured with a Spark:

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the video! No. I did not use any ND filters (or any other filters) to capture the footage in this video. Not sure why I’d use neutral density for this situation to be honest. Do you have some suggestions or recommendations?
@@DavidWetzel Just curious if ND was used on a seems like a sunny day but well exposed on your shot. I do have an M2Z but I always blew those highlights in my shot and planning to get those ND filters.

is this in 4k / 30 fps footage ?
Yes! The 30 fps max at 4k is a serious limitation of the Mavic 2.

@@svelepfk Yeah! The upcoming Mavic 3 will for sure have 4k @ 60 fps. Even the recently launched Mavic Air 2 can now shoot in 4K at 60 fps. Plus: the new camera on the Mavic Air 2 records video at 120 Mbps bitrate to support that higher frame rate. So it will happen soon. Stay tuned! :-)
