I don't know if anyone has already told you but the reason you don't remember the island in the sky is because there was no island in the sky in the Odyssey😂 it was supposed to be a "floating island", meaning a normal island but not attached to any other piece of land, but Jay read that passage and was like "oh, floating as in, floating in the air" and wrote the song to represent his vision of the island instead of the original version
The reason killing the cyclops would trap Odysseus and his men isn't because the cyclop's body itself would block the exit. In the Odyssey, when the cyclops arrives and decides to kill everyone, he rolls a giant stone in front of the entrance to the cave that prevents anyone from leaving. Otherwise they all could have simply fled when he became a threat. Once he has passed out from the lotus, his men do indeed suggest just killing him, but Odysseus, being smart, knows that they cannot move the boulder on their own. Instead he opts to blind the cyclops, and then convince the cyclops that they had somehow gotten outside. The cyclops, in order to "chase after them", opens the cave, inadvertently releasing the men. This isn't translated very clearly at all in the songs, but in a stage production of the musical would be much more obvious.

I don’t think Jorge is going to be using those details since he didn’t kill two people a day anywhere in the lyrics and the wording 100% sounds like the cyclops passed out in front of the entrance. Gonna be exciting to see where a stage show goes!
That feat In itself is legendary ...its just so hard to believe you can go to war woth 600 people and none die but then again these are the legends of ancient Greek 😁

There are some many layers to Warrior of the Mind and My Goodbye. One of the crazy things I noticed is that while, Athena is the one saying to not be emotional, she takes the Emotional position in the Song while Odysseus flawlessly points out Her actions are leading her to a life counter to her goals of being known. She wants people to accept her and her teachings but can't connect with mortals they way we connect with each other and despite claiming to be wise and having the answers for her "better tomorrow" she ends up pushing everyone away, in the end of My Goodbye she takes the cheap shot at Odysseus with the "Just a Man" motif and then despite trying to make it his fault their mentorship/friendship is ending she keeps repeating that this is her Goodbye, like she's trying to get him to beg her to stay.
At the end of Remember Them the cyclops smiles because Odysseus gave him his real name. Not just his name but his Kingdom's name too! Imagine! Now the cyclops can blame him before the gods for his pain.
Love the reactions so far! I would highly recommend gigi's animation for ruthlessness and to watch her animatics whenever else available. She hasn't done all of the songs but the ones she has done are always top notch in animation quality and portrayal of the story.

In Mircsy's "survive" it showed the eyes shine red if they were out to kill, but Polites's eyes reflected white because he did not want to harm.
