I’m told by Wowsl community that more XP = more credit. The video appears to suggest that these aren’t directly tied on pc so I’m curious about Xbox - PS version.
I wish playing objectives gave more XP. Yesterday a divisionmate and I were on two brothers and my divisionmate went through the middle. No one intercepted him and he managed to capture the base. He ended up as the third from the bottom in base XP even though he was the one that won us the game. No wonder People are oftentimes so selfish and rather keep shooting instead of playing smart. Playing smart doesn't give enough points. Edit: This is mostly about standard battles where capturing immediately wins the game and prevents you from dealing more damage making capturing a very unattractive thing to do.
That Achievements contribute to earnings at all is known only from very old documents that may no longer apply. How much they contribute has never been mentioned.

Unless you ramp up spotting/potential damage numbers its always "DMG>> Everything" You also left yout that winning adds flat bonus for your team, so if you are exceptionally good, you can outearn the winner even when losing, furher undermining the will to "play for win" and incentivising "play for DMG".
What about implementing a better XP bonus for potential and spotting damage? I do 100k spotting damage average every Midway round, or 2 million potential damage on Venezia and I get almost no extra XP for it. Would be nice to get some more base xp for this in future!
Carrier spotting is broken at the moment, so I think they won`t change that. Maybe if they implement it like radar, therefore having a bit of delay would make sense.
And why can’t you give us an xp and credits earned in real time like a whole lot of other games do? Because you like to hide the fact the your xp and credits system makes no sense at all. This video literally tells us nothing useful.
its not so hard WG. Make things clear 1: show the xp and cretits earnings in real time (like any other game does) 2: show how much the repair of the ship costs (in port, like wt does) And show the % chance of geting something in containers
I wish spotting damage for DDs was rewarded better. It sure feels under appreciated considering that is damage that couldn't have happened w/out the spotting. We all know how much of an advantage it is when one side on a flank has a DD out front keeping everyone spotted and the other side doesn't. It's almost deterministic of the outcome for that flank.
There's one important thing that was missed in this episode: explaining the value of premium ships for boosted economy (how much each tier makes, how much more credits/XP premium ships make, etc.)
How do u think us bbs feel when we do tank we get 0 reward for tanking. Also where the hell are the assist medals like kill assists would be nice hate having done 98% of dmg to a ship just to watch other take the kill like why assist should have been add day 1.
Good to know about the different classes' proportional rewards, fills in a hole that explains some of the toxic hate I receive on a daily basis. Doesn't explain why those people feel the need to be that hateful, but it does explain some of their frustration with the "newb."
00:50 and nothing in game such as helping team mates put out fires on their ships with your repair crews. Where is the team work people? Can you make a new "How it works" for map spawning? I would like to know the WG game mechanics behind opening spawn selection before the battle starts. For example, why are ship map spawns are so close to other team mates? Such as either AFK players or poor turn radius ships interfering with opening moves. Why are all radar ships on one side of the map (port or starboard) for the team on spawn instead of balanced over the map on spawn? Why are DD's, CA's, or BB's not balanced (port or starboard) on deployment? It appears they are all slanted in their deployment instead of spread out on the map for spawn deployment.
Boy ohh boy did you leave out TONS of information. Like the percentage you get from spotting, as a DD what's the incentive? Nothing, so cruisers gets the most from spotting? That's just stupid, you will never find a cruiser providing spotting, if so they're dead, DD's usually get dead. Makes sense that CV's won't get due to the complete lack of risk for providing spotting. That however forces CV's to ignore spotting and go for damage as spotting is a waste of time for them. Then again, spotting damage provides virtually NO exp and credit. Capping provide some, Airplane damage provide some (3 caps will yield you quite a bit (as detailed here)), but it all boils down to 1 thing: damage. Do damage and you get rewarded, the rest is almost ignorable. The ONLY reason to get spotting damage is if you require it for missions, if not, just ignore it and farm damage, it's not good for the team, I know, but spotting and capping is not worth it for you, you basically make sure that the BB and Cruiser players gets exp and gold and you nothing. WG should change how the spotting damage mechanic and reward works!
My earnings per battle cap at 500xp most of the time but in some cases I got 100xp and maybe tens of thousands of credits. It’s a bit ridiculous as after tier 4 it can take up to 80 battles per ship or even more just to progress.
@@NoBallsInWomensStalls I mean in some cases if feels not worth the time when I don’t earn a decent amount, my aircraft carrier earnings are always 50% of that of other ships even if I did more damage or kills.

Well, they did said it’s base on percentage. If you deal 30k HP to the Montana and only 20k on the Kitakaze, of cource you can’t deal the same 30k on the Kitakaze, you wont get the same amount of credit from that. You’ll only get pissed from it. So it’s a fair deal.
teams earn no points income when no cap is taken, killing an enemy ship removes points from the enemy points pool and adds some points to your pool, the amount of points received and removed from killing enemy ships varies depending on the type of ship that died (in order : CVs give the most, followed by BBs, cruisers and destroyers), you cap by staying in the zone and not being shot at, a cap cannot be taken if there is an enemy ship inside of it and contesting caps blocks the point income from said cap. Idk if that was your question but if it was, I hope you understood
Why in 2 minutes in do you go from showing formulas to not showing formula's? is there something to hide or do you not want it known (which it likely is in other non WOWS sources) how much credit/damage differences there is.. whats the point of starting by telling us how things are done in detail then stopping half way through the video by basically saying "behind the curtain stuff happens" Very bad.
There are formulas around 2:40 and 3:20... if you're expecting them all to be in the same mathematical format, you may have missed the point of the video.
Better than world of tanks… play tier 10 TD and you get to shoot once per battle maybe twice and you still lose credits. Even when you 1 shot a heavy tank.
BUT WORLD OF WARSHIPS why don't you have a Credit/Exp bonus based on how CLOSE to the CAPS which are MASSIVELY IMPORTANT.. so people are rewarded and learn behavior to PLAY NEAR CAPS. - rather than kiting to the borders of maps which can yield results in some situations but in many in the WRONG direction to play when playing capture the flag/area.
after watching this, imagine all those credits sink into repairs. the only economy is how much you are willing to pay for premium account so you dont lose credits when losing
I don't wanna compare it with other games or even just WoT, but just compare this vid with the old version HiW: eco. This one loses lotta detail than the old one. I don't know if you have deleted/changed them or just don't wanna talk about them. But yeah, it's still by any means a useful vid for the newbie. BTW, will you consider if it's possible to also include "average damage as a percentage" in the player statistic since you calculate exp as percentage-based, a percentage-based statistic can maybe adjust the "average damage" farmer, maybe? And yeah, just mention that exps from potential damage and spotting damage is just unsatisfactory. From my pov, it's fundamental how the player base will act in-game. Not likely do to all the HE spam ships from hell watched 3 Crusiers a mino, al. Nevsky, and smol ignore 2 dds that were chasing us bbs torping us and burning us down we were 7kms from are crusiers asking for help but no they wanted ro sit in smoke and farm bbs when 2 dds were 8km away from them. All of us died to there torps and HE even. Then they complained that us bbs dont kill the 2 dds it was a complete Facepalming moment dont know what they expected from a Vermont, yamato, and kermlin its not like we are the mighty mo with radar or germans with hydro there was nothing we could plus we are the slowest ships in game.
more than half of player base does not want to shoot at dds even when it is closest. More than half of those players that willing to shoot dds are not good enough to hit a DD more than 8km away.

going by this logic, destroyers can be up to 10 times more valuable targets than battleships from an economical standpoint. something doesn't seem right here. . .
What logic leads you there? The ships have the *same value* ; it just takes less actual damage to get the full value from DDs. And there are a number of mechanics that hinder you from getting that damage.
If you compare to real life, sure, 1 BB worth a lot more than a single DD but you must know that WG designed a DD in game to represent a while fleet of them
that seems very right there... dds are the most important ships with the most roles in the game so its extremly important to take them down and not as easy as otherships because of their concealment... so you get rewarded if you kill/damage them. sounds fine to me
The spotting and spotting damage rewards are stupid. A CV flies around and easily spots but it earns at a greater rate than a BB? The VP of Bad Ideas exceeded job expectations again.
Better dedicate yourselves to improving the matchmaking system and the RGN issue that is rubbish, how is it possible that they will kill you in the smoke, that they will lower you 8k and you only lower 3k, instead of taking out more ships to have more money they should of worry about their community or that they are already more Mr. Krabs
Why dont you explain to ppl that if you want to play at the higher 2 tiers you are pretty much forced to pay for premium to be able to get credits enough . the cost to resupply the ships are to high even if u win the game and did your part most of the times you lose credits due to the high costs of resupply
because the old aircraft carrier you can launch 2 plane at the same time And you can launch fighters and there was more aircraft carrier not 4 Aircraft carrier
It’s called a farming game .. draws you in then makes levelling up harder and harder at each level until you buy the nxt ship etc etc .. don’t bother I’ve uninstalled
They will never do this. The reason is that it would mean that the code for the AI ships would need to be downloaded to your personal machine meaning that bots (which are already a huge problem) would be much easier to make.

If you get detonated then you should have repair cost covered if you had over 25% of your health remaining.

I believe its +10% for each tier. So if (VIII) North Carolina damages (X) Yamato, she gets a +20% bonus.

The value (in terms of exp/credits gain) of spotting and potential damage is an absolute joke. You know it, we know it.

if you deal 90% dmg to shimikaze and 90% dmg to montana you get same amount of credits and xp ... that is so idiotic

And yeah, just mention that exps from potential damage and spotting damage is just unsatisfactory. From my pov, it's fundamental how the player base will act in-game.

Not likely do to all the HE spam ships from hell watched 3 Crusiers a mino, al. Nevsky, and smol ignore 2 dds that were chasing us bbs torping us and burning us down we were 7kms from are crusiers asking for help but no they wanted ro sit in smoke and farm bbs when 2 dds were 8km away from them. All of us died to there torps and HE even. Then they complained that us bbs dont kill the 2 dds it was a complete Facepalming moment dont know what they expected from a Vermont, yamato, and kermlin its not like we are the mighty mo with radar or germans with hydro there was nothing we could plus we are the slowest ships in game.

going by this logic, destroyers can be up to 10 times more valuable targets than battleships from an economical standpoint. something doesn't seem right here. . .
they are becuase theyre the ones spotting for the team and capturing points. battleships tend to stay back in the spawn point sniping enemy BBs
What logic leads you there? The ships have the *same value* ; it just takes less actual damage to get the full value from DDs. And there are a number of mechanics that hinder you from getting that damage.
If you compare to real life, sure, 1 BB worth a lot more than a single DD but you must know that WG designed a DD in game to represent a while fleet of them
that seems very right there... dds are the most important ships with the most roles in the game so its extremly important to take them down and not as easy as otherships because of their concealment... so you get rewarded if you kill/damage them. sounds fine to me
Deal damage on your own spotting for credits and xp....all other methods are junk.

The spotting and spotting damage rewards are stupid. A CV flies around and easily spots but it earns at a greater rate than a BB? The VP of Bad Ideas exceeded job expectations again.

Why dont you explain to ppl that if you want to play at the higher 2 tiers you are pretty much forced to pay for premium to be able to get credits enough . the cost to resupply the ships are to high even if u win the game and did your part most of the times you lose credits due to the high costs of resupply
Why is this necessarily a bad thing? They want you to play at t6=8, that's where alotta premiums/historical ships are at :p
Save some coal to buy a T9/10 ship in the armory, you will never run out of credits again

They will never do this. The reason is that it would mean that the code for the AI ships would need to be downloaded to your personal machine meaning that bots (which are already a huge problem) would be much easier to make.
