Currently having noise complaints(even though i am on the ground floor) and im also from ireland and having the same kit so the video is perfect for me :D question: do you think Roland noise eater is nescessary? i think tennis ball platform does its job already.. also where did you order the wood?
Hi Alex, I think the Roland NE might not be totally necessary, but definitely it helps. Actually I recommend getting one for the HH too. They are expensive, but they add that extra dampening that helps a lot. But again, you might get away without it. I'd say, just try it without and if your neighbour is still complaining get the NE... I got my mdf from woodworkers, who delivered it to my address. Cheers,
@@isaacscorner1525 thanks for the answer. what size wood planks did you order? considering i have same kit and i dont have any tools to cut id look for something similar. Thanks and hoping it still works well for you!
@@isaacscorner1525 Hi Isaac. Since you have decided to build a platform, I understand that ROLAND NE are insufficient. Can you give your opinion on the roland NE please? great tutorial. Thank you very much.
Hiya! In my opinion, the roland NE are good, but very expensive. They dampen a lot, that's true, but if you are a heavy hiter, or play a lot, some of the vibrations go through. Also, they only dampen the kick and/or hihat, but don't do anything about the rest of the kit, wich is played all the time and also transfers vibration to the ground. As I say, depends on how you play, and where you play. If you don't have neighbours, or play in a basement, or you play jazz with very soft sticks, etc. you'll be ok. It also depends on how picky are your neighbours. If like me you have neighbours downstairs, or are a heavy hiter, and you can afford the space, I recommend the platform. I hope this helps. Keep safe, keep playing 🤟
i dont have a lot of space, like the stool (sorry throne alwyas sounds too self aggrandising to me! XD) can't stay where I would have it when I'm playing as it'd be in the way of getting round my room! I'm thinking I'll make a little one just for the pedals, basically like the roland NE. I dont see anyone else doing this though..?
Hi there! When I was looking for videos on how to do it, I saw many people building the riser just for the kit, and they were placing their stool on the ground. They said it was ok for them... you can try that, maybe? I just think that sitting in the same level is better ergonomically but again, that's just preference 🙂
Amazing! Thanks 🙏
I suck at DIY but I really want to make one of these. The measuring for the tennis balls gets me
Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can!!!
Good luck!!!
Lol a five year old could accomplish this task...
Menuda currada te has pegado!!
Eso si... ya no tienes excusa para darle duro. AL TURROOOOON!! 😁🤘🏻
Turron 4ever!!! 🤘😁
On a side note - great music, Issac! Impressive. It definitely needs serious promotion and visuals/music videos.
Thank you very much ❤
How big are the wholes that were cut for tennis balls and zipties (diameter)?
Hi Antonia!
The diameter of the tennis balls hole is 4.5cm, the ones fir the zipties are around 0.5cm

Hi!
I used the 15mm sheets.
They were 8 sheets cut in 60x75 cm rectangles.
