Ive read eyewitness accounts of the 1857 quake. It caused the water in Tule Lake (located in the central valley) to slosh way beyond its banks leaving fish stranded on dry land. It also caused the Kern River to run backwards for a time.
Pray for the South to North rupture unless both the Mojave & southern sections of the fault break together with the rupture beginning at the Salton Sea.
