  • Best solar tip for solar panel fence make! How to make your own solar panel fence, Step by step! #diy #DIY
This example is made from an existing concrete fence and the solar panels are also a bit older.
A fence like this is best made with smaller panels because they are sturdier.

You can have wood posts 11.5 ft apart mount 3 huge panels per span. Bottom vertical 2x6. New panels 3x 745w 2.2kw. Vertical south facing bi facial works amazing, my highest pv is in Dec.

These look recessed a bit too much. Any not optimal time the posts will shade the panels. I would have kept the backside paneling painted to white as F. Brought the panels flush or on yop of the post surface. No shading ;) And used bifacial getting some extra from that white back wall.
But results are result. Even if the system is not perfect its better than nothing.

Ohh, I was just curious , to results vs 45% or roof mounted. I think this is brilliant. I was Just reading that in realality vertical panals actually perfrom better than 45% due to dust , debris dirt etc. @@Self-Sufficient-tips

      Possible,
In my situation there is some day shadow from the shed.
You don't actually place it vertically on your roof (unless on the wall, but that doesn't look very nice)
Mounted as I did, you do have shade when there are objects in front of it (people / bicycles / wheelie bins)
In this situation that is not a problem because they are stored separately on an optimizer, but you clearly have a (small)loss.

btw, I actually want to try this system in an open field, but with bifacial solar panels, so that they can also generate electricity at the back of the solar panels

Amazing build, very well done. What type of panels are these? They are super stealthy, don't even look like panels. Amazing looks and great for security. Nobody would think to try steal them or think you're wealthy or have batteries even. Very surreptitious.
