There are four types of goats, the first one is milk goats, the second is meat goats, third type is wool goats and the fourth is dwarf goats.
I have listed 13 goat breeds in this video, with the fact that the last two, the Kashmir goat and the dwarf goat, actually represent groups of several different goat breeds. However, they are collectively called Kashmir goats and dwarf goats (pygmy goats).
What caught my attention is that there is interest in Angora goats and Kashmiri goats, as breeds selected for obtaining wool, which is less represented in the field.
Fawn goats caused a lot of trouble until I clarified what was at stake because they are relatively recent selections in goat farming. The German roe goat is attractive in our country, although many countries have some variations of it, where they tried to get some good results by crossing it with Alpine goats.
