One time i was in the crowd whilst Freestylers sound checked, i saw Tenor Fly and from enthusiasm i gave him a BRRRRRR from humour and respect. Those beautiful Freestylers, Navi and Val all looked around in shock. They thought the Grand Master Fly had started speaking. Im sorry for confusing my favourite band, but there is no person on Earth, not even the amazing Spyda who can recreate the lyrics, fillers or voice of Tenor Fly. The most unique MC to work with Sir Coxone, Rebel MC, Congo Natty, with the mighty Top Cat, on Fresh records, on Freska, with Pendulum or as the enduring identity of the Freestylers. That last night i saw Tenor Fly, he was imperious, professional and as rich sounding as he had ever been. When this honest and talented mc spoke, he was talking of his situation in the times that you and he were in. When his glorious, thoughtful mind and words opened up, any artist, crowd and individual knew this was the sound of their lifetime, the thoughts of an experienced friend and the vocals of their night and enjoyment.
