@@Heather-Br hi, Heather! Long story. A very long, long long story. So I originally intended to send these videos to one of my friends in Germany. She has much better editing knowledge than I do. Well, I discovered that Apple and windows do not like to talk to each other. my friend could open them in windows, but Apple put their videos in this HVC or something format and does not have that codec natively, you have to buy it. Also, thank goodness I also sent them to another friend in the states. She had the same problem as my German friend, but unlike my German friend, who was blind, she could see that the colors in the video were inverted. The dolls and the walls and our skin was white, but our eyes were blood red. People are already so afraid of dolls, could you imagine the outrage and terror from my subscribers if I would’ve released that? So anyway, back to the drawing board I went. Then I decided that I would have to do it myself so I taught myself how to use iMovie on the iPhone. Well, my next hurtle was that Imovie shows the names of the files differently than they appear in the Photos app. Like the theme for example is July 16-2:11 p.m. Well, when you look at that same file in iMovie, it’s July 16-1:55. That is one minute and 55 seconds, not 1:55 in the afternoon. I had lots of tiny files that ranged anywhere from 24 seconds to four minutes. I ended up going back into Photos, saving all of those files to the Files app, and then renaming them so that I knew one from another. Then I uploaded them into iMovie. Well, the drama doesn’t end there. I uploaded them in their correct order with the theme at the beginning and the outro at the end. When I played it back, it did not play in that order. It played the outro first and went backward to the theme. I was so mad. By this time I had been fighting with getting this project pasted together and done for about a week. So then I flipped the files around. I deleted the entire project, and started over. I uploaded them backwards from the outro to the theme, and that was very very hard, and very nerve-racking. Luckily, I wrote a script for the way the program was supposed to pan out, and that was how I kept up with who was going after whom in order to put those files in correctly. It was terrible! I have never hated Apple so much in my entire life and I have seriously been considering going Android. Sorry for the novel, but this was the H E double hockey sticks that I have been going through for the past 15 days.
@@crazyrobotlady3391 Whew! You've got stick-to-it-ism, to borrow a phrase from an old episode of She-ra from the '80's! I know what it's like to have to put things up backward. I've got a playlist called Misc Audim-videos. I wanted to put a few game guides up there. So I put them all in Watch Later, then put them into the playlist with part 1 first, 2 second, and 3 third. But since I have it set for "date added: newest", number 3 came first. So I deleted them from Misc and uploaded them in reverse order. I had to do the same thing with a 10-part reading of L. Frank Baum's Life And Adventures Of Santa Claus. That one's in it's own playlist, though. But anyway, great job figuring everything out; this kstckoff was wonderful. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
Thank you, Heather. It did require a lot of stick to it or whatever you said. Lol! I had already worked to record the thing which took roughly from 16 July to the 30th. I was not going to let technology defeat me. After lots of prayers and kicking loose limbs around outside, I succeeded, but it was not easy. I hope I never do anything this big again, and if I start dropping hints that I’m planning something, stop me.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Day one is going to be much more fun! This experience of editing these very large videos has made me hate Apple. I am really considering going android but I think I’m going to make a video about this to ask my blind subscribers what they Think.

@@maureenbright5432 thank you! Actually, in this segment of the tape that I pulled the theme from, Jill is singing to one of her friends. In the actual animation, she has her hand up to her head because she’s supposed to be holding her phone so I gave it to her so she wouldn’t look as though she was cupping her hand around her ear. Lol! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video. It was a very nerve-racking process to make all of this happen. That’s why I’ve been gone for the last 15 days. Put it this way. Windows and apple don’t like to talk nicely to one another.
I’m sorry. I can’t turn these guys up and I had enough fighting with iMovie. I had so much difficulty getting this done that I seriously thought about going Android and leaving Apple behind.
@@Tam.I.am. yeah. I was probably the farthest away from the camera because I was practically on the other side of the room. I apologize dude. I think the first ones were me, TJ, and Allison. You may just have to turn your volume up for certain parts, and perhaps I should put this information in the description too so that if people have trouble, they know to turn up their volume. @@crazyrobotlady3391 Oh, I turn the volume up to the top before I start fussing. It's okay. I could still hear, I just had to lean close and concentrate.
@Tam.I.am. Sorry about the volume. Anyway, I also realized something else that I messed up on. I used the wrong take of Jill in the beginning of both day one and day two. I used the one of her holding her hand up to her ear rather than the one that I used for the kick off where she has the phone in her hand. What a stupid idiotic flub! Still makes me mad. But after all the mess I went through to get these videos here, I don’t want to take the entire project down and re-uploaded and change the theme out for the correct one. It’s just too much work.
Thank you! This is only the start of theSlumber Palooza. Episodes will roll out over the next three days. I uploaded day one this morning if you would like to take a look. I separated the event into three days with three different themes. Day one is games, day two is stories, and day three is songs. Each of the characters is placed in that little tan chair that Patty was sitting in in this video and does their thing. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you enjoy the other events.
Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoy this. It took so much WORK!
Great work! Glad you got it working. Jill sounds good here at the beginning. How did you end up editing the videos?
