That “may your ashes feed the river in the morning rays” line really sticks out with me. It’s one of the most poetic lyrics over ever heard before. Really like it
See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity Let our bodies lay while our hearts we’ll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain Now, if your convictions were a passing faith May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode But it’s much too late You’re in the race So we’ll press And press ‘til you can’t take it anymore Let our bodies lay while our hearts we’ll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies Take his body as a relic to be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore (Let’s flip out!) Against faith (Antihero) Against all life (As if it must be pure) Against change (Wander through the ruins) We are free (The guiltiness is yours) You must fix your heart And you must build an altar where it rests When the storm decays and the sky it rains Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away And as we stumble through your last crusade When you welcome your extinction in the morning rays And as the swarming calls, we lay in the foundations Yes, it comforts me much more Yes, it comforts me much more To lay in the foundations of decay Get up, coward!
@@sigilsonny7701 No. Haha you cant objectively say any of their albums is better than another. That's just your personal opinion. Especially since Danger Days was a concept album about post apocalyptic cowboys with laser guns. The album was much more pop and EDM influenced. The entire art direction was different so its dumb to even try to compare Danger Days to their other albums, it's like comparing apples to oranges. You just enjoy a certain sound more than others and Danger Days wasnt your cup of tea. So no, in no way shape or form was Danger Days lesser than any other album they made.

I really said “i bet this song will have a slowed version already” and here we are💀
IT SOUNDS SO COOL AND SPOOKY
This is one of their best songs ever made
probably their best honestly. its amazing how they could pull off such a great track after all these years.
@@antonionsfw this song has something really unique lyrically
@@antonionsfw the foundations of decay and Desert Song are my favorite tracks from them
It's in my top 3 fav MCR songs!
The slowed reverb trend has been reminding me of the nightcore era way back when, except now I'm old enough to live through an era like it again
That was quick
This could pass as a black metal song for any other band lol
YESSSSSSS THIS IS SOOOO GOODDD
песня шикарная, большое вам спасибо!!!!! 😁💞
I AM EXPLODING
So quick and so goooddd
See the man who stands upon the hill
He dreams of all the battles won
But fate had left its scars upon his face
With all the damage they had done
And so time, with age
He turns the page
Let the flesh
Submit itself to gravity
Let our bodies lay while our hearts we’ll save
Let our blood invade if I die in vain
Now, if your convictions were a passing faith
May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays
And as the vermin crawls
We lay in the foundations of decay
He was there, the day the towers fell
And so he wandered down the road
And we would all build towers of our own
Only to watch the rooms corrode
But it’s much too late
You’re in the race
So we’ll press
And press ‘til you can’t take it anymore
Let our bodies lay while our hearts we’ll save
Let our blood invade if I die in vain
And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies
Take his body as a relic to be canonized, now
And so he gets to die a saint
But she will always be the whore
(Let’s flip out!)
Against faith (Antihero)
Against all life (As if it must be pure)
Against change (Wander through the ruins)
We are free (The guiltiness is yours)
You must fix your heart
And you must build an altar where it rests
When the storm decays and the sky it rains
Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away
And as we stumble through your last crusade
When you welcome your extinction in the morning rays
And as the swarming calls, we lay in the foundations
Yes, it comforts me much more
Yes, it comforts me much more
To lay in the foundations of decay
Get up, coward!
(Let’s flip out!) is actually supposed to be “you look stressed out”

this song is 10 times better than anything on danger days
Nah get out of here with that. It's My Chemical Romance and all of their music has its presence and place.
