Sparking student inquiry and curiosity is so important to student learning and is a must have in any class. How often students are just spoon-fed the answers and given no substance to spark their curiosity. I think back to my public education math books having all the odd answers in the back. Education was so focused on teaching to the test, they were simply giving us the answers to the problems. Students need to be allowed the process of trial and error with no reciprocations. This process will help foster their curiosity and a joy for learning.

My wife jokes that she would love to have desks wired to shock students when they are out of control.
