I have a new 3500 dually Limited, heaviest I have towed so far is 9k lb cab tractor with backhoe on a 24' gooseneck which is nothing for these trucks. I still keep a GM Escalade, Denali or Tahoe in the garage trading every 2-3 years and even looked at the Chevy 3500 and Ford F350 prior to getting the new Ram. I was hauling 41,000 pounds with my 2015 ram dully 6.7 w/ the Aisen transmission all stack no deletes no aftermarket market parts and it was up a 6% incline I wasn’t going more then 5 mph but it did it blow my mind these trucks have so much power oh and that was with a 5th wheel hook up with my 51 foot bigtex 3 car haler
Great video, and glad you like the truck! And yes, this new generation of automatics has taken over the manuals. The main reason this truck felt so good compared to your 5500, is because of the extra power you get with the Asin. Cummins with the Asin are rated at 930 lb ft torque and trucks with the G56 are detuned to 660 lb ft torque. Also, the reason tow haul keeps you under 2000 RPM, is because the Cummins makes that 930 lb ft max torque at 1700 RPM.
Great video! I just bought a 2018 3500 ram Laramie with all the goodies including airbags. I can't wait to put it to work when I start my hotshot business.
@@cumminsmilitia2063 I think if I remember right the Aisin was used in the cab and chassis trucks back as early as 08. So Chrysler could offer the medium duty trucks with a pto option. My memory on this is a little fuzzy.
I just bought a 2018 ram 3500 duly Laramie with the Aisin for hotshot runs. Holy crap, the power in this truck so off the charts. So far my heaviest load has been 25k but it pulls like I'm running dead head. RAM with the AISIN trans is the only way to go.
I have a 2018 dodge 3500 dually with aisin auto. I pull a three car trailer with it everyday for my business. I don't have the stock airbags but I added timbren shocks in the rear for better weight handling and I love this truck. A major step up from my 07 cummins. Look into timbren for your rear instead of air bags they work great and no maintenance. The trailer I have is a take3 step deck 48 feet long.
@Popularity Matters mini 5 car trailer are trash... sold mine and bought a 5500 Laramie chassis cab with an infinity 6 car trailer, 15k Dexter axles, dually
I have a 2016 3500 Laramie long horn , Asian 410 with self leveling air bags . Love it . I haul my cat 420dit. I have had 5 rams through the years. This 1 is by far the best.
Calif. probably shacks down trailer mfr/dealer! The paint causes cancer! It was wielded using argon.etc..I had a family business in northern,ca. we ended up closing it because of the state dep/epa rules! Don't miss it a bit.grew up there till I was 35.most people I know moved too!
I like my 07 6.7, but there’s something about being able to do all your work and then some in a luxurious type style. I’m gonna be picking up a 2016+ 6.7 3500 and keep the 3rd gen around for shenanigans
Christopher Adams I’m not sure what year Ram added this feature but I have 2017 Ram 3500 Cummins dually with the Laramie trim package and if you go into the apps you can choose either heavy load or light load. On the heavy load setting your exhaust brake is quite a bit heavier.
dchawk81 I agree 100%, you have to flip through 5 screens to find it. The mechanics at the dealership didn’t really have a clue what it did, they told me it applied more pressure through the electric brakes, haha I laughed right at him when he said that
I’m from NJ and I feel like we are mini Cali. But not as bad. We are getting worse though as time passes. Bless you and your family. Ps. Love your videos they are excellent keep up the great work!
My wife Deanna says you need to recognize "the girls" too!! LOL!! Thanks for the video...I think we are looking at the vehicle and trailer for our needs! Blessings and Great to see you testing over in Grass Valley! We are in Reno!
I was in Livermore 45 miles east of Sanfransicko. The city now is a sanctuary city the bums are popping in the street, its so bad they hand out poop maps to tourists so they don't step in human waste. That and a million different reasons.
I used to run office products up to Grass Valley from Sacramento, one of my favorite runs. California has some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen but with the political climate right now you couldn’t pay me enough to live there again.
I like your channel and all your content, I just noticed in these last couple videos where you are and had to chuckle, I live in the Carolinas now but in the mid 70's I lived in Truckee, so your surroundings are very familiar to me. I am looking at getting a 3500 so I can move the JCB backhoe I just purchased and I have much more confidence now that I have watched a few of your vids.
Wireless emote control my friend, don’t need any helpers. I LOVE my remote control dump trailer. All the fellas at the dump always stare at me with grins...lol. I just hang my hand out the window lift her up pull forward drop her down and I’m out, it’s almost like a big boy dump truck :)
Everybody and their mom driving around on Sunday, so much for the gas tax. Funny California has the most epa regs and all you see are custom hotrods deleted trucks etc..... You could move to Texas like all the rest of normal people out there in bondage, you would have more than enough start up after you sold out! California is the reason all states have only 2 senators, we can thank out fore fathers for seeing what the potential of a diet of fruits and nuts could have on the country!
Your videos were invaluable in my decision of gear ratio & transmission. I suppose I should also credit you with my choice of Laramie trim & brilliant white paint, lol (same truck as yours). I really appreciate the anecdotal depth and breadth of your content & will definitely stay tuned for insight going forward. I like the fact that you're staying under warrantee, as will I, & was wondering if you could delve into the preventative maintenance aspect that keep these Cummins running longer than most of the 'rest'. All the best to you and yours from the 'Green mtn. State'!
I remember, in the 1960s and 1970's, when you bought a new 18 WHEELER truck, you could pick the engine. You could get CAT, CUMMINS, DETROIT DIESEL (two cycle), international, Mack. The point I am making, I wish I could get Cummins, in FORD cab, CHEVY cab, DODGE cab. That would be GREAT.
Like everyone is saying, PJ is one of the best in the business. Also check out LoadTrail. They are PJ's brother, made by basically the same people. You could get a bunch of different colors too!

Take a look at Diamond Trailers they are made in Oklahoma and I do believe that they have electric ramps or hydraulic, very good company and good prices
You are SMART. 1. BLOCK trailer wheels, to stop trailer from moving. 2. Wooden block to STOP, the trailer FROM jumping up. 3. Buying a DODGE CUMMINS TRUCK.
Kentucky is where gatormade trailers are from Super awesome trailer I live in Tennessee contacted them for pricing and they have drove me crazy They ship them with independent contractors 1.79 per mile ouch 25+5 they quoted 11,200 plus delivery No hydraulic dove tail tho mega ramps on it
Dana Bennett I really like the new design they have for the gooseneck but shoot that’s a lot for a trailer delivery. Mine shipped with like 4 other trailers behind one ford. Just all stacked up
Awesome, video and review, I live in Ohio and have a 2006 3500 RAM, and absolutely love it thinking of another new one 345,000 on it and still going strong
i have two RAM 4x4 Reg. cab 3500's - an 06 Cummings 6 speed and a new 2015 that i special ordered with every option you could put on a Tradesman model. that truck is a Cummings with the AISAN trans. both trucks will tow anything you hook to them. i've probably only had around 15k total behind both of them. the 6sp. drives like a trailer truck. to "go fast" you have to keep shifting. on the AISAN, you can just gradually plant your foot and the truck drags whatever you've got attached up any hill or grade you want in quick order. i get around 20 mpg with the 06 empty on the highway at 75 mph and around 18-19 with the AISAN empty. the new truck gets 13-15 mpg around town. i've tested the new truck on a 7% grade at 75 mph with about 8k behind it. with the cruise set at 75 mph and the dash gauges set on the Turbo boost, the truck never dropped 1 mph!! all that the Cummings did was spool up the Turbo from about 4psi to around 18. i actually drive the new RAM every day as my regular vehicle. i actually prefer taking the new truck on long trips rather than my nissan xterra PRO4-X SUV. the RAM does not ride that bad empty and rolling up on a Prius at 75 mph is always entertaining. it usually only takes a tape on the bright lights and the "golf cart" guy will move over into the right lane. i love BOTH of my RAMS.
Im sure Ca has awesome trailers...Yea never in a race when ya pulling a load...Glad you have your dream truck at a very young age..GOD has blessed you!
Hi guys may I ask having them on all the time when pulling a loaded trailer of course. Does it affect anything on the truck? . Or does it damage something on the truck. Thanks in advance
Cristobal Ospina I actually filmed a bit on the brake away Controller correct hookup but didn’t work for my intro. I’ll film another one about it but thank youn
Paso Robles, CA here! I can certainly agree with the taxes, but it is what it is. It’s a reason why the economy here is through the roof in a positive manner. However, it makes people like my oldest brother and his landscape construction/metal fab business a little harder to manage at times, but when the payday comes, it’s always a good day haha! Also, the Ram 3500 is a great truck. The truth is, diesels nowadays and even back then have their deficiencies. It’s all about what you need the truck for and preference. If you take care of your trucks, they’ll take care of you! Same with your tools and equipment! And yes, California still has and always will have hard working people. It’s not common in certain areas, however they are out there. Just like people in other states. I lived in New Mexico for a while and to be honest, it’s the same wherever you go. There’s a little bit of this and that no matter where you go! Anyways, I love your channel boss! Much love and Semper Fidelis! (Served in the Marine Corps).
Hernan Arreola very well said! That’s goes for anything if you treat it rough and abuse it chances are it won’t last you long! Thank you for your service! Take care brother!
V-BELT and SON Sam if I got a RAM 3500 Dually 4x4 I'd get the AISIN 6 Speed Automatic Transmission over the G56 Manual any day because the AISIN Automatic Transmission gives you the 930 LB FT of Torque vs 660 LB FT with the G56 Manual Transmission my 3500 would be the Limited with the White Exterior and Tan Interior
I support you for not supporting that trailer company. People dont realize how big California is with lots of good people in certain areas. STATE OF JEFFERSON
It sure is a Beautiful area and a cool looking town... I'm super glad to have found your videos. I enjoy seeing what your up to. I'll be buying a new truck, trailer and tractor next year. I had a 2016 Ram 3500 cab and chassis... And a 40' Big Tex with the hydraulic tail. I did hotshot work. Got out of it and sold everything. Just bought a small ranch outside Spokane and am gearing back up.
I had a 2000 Chevy S-10 with a goosneck ball in the bed. I balanced a Cat D5 dozer on the Gooseneck and hauled it 14 miles. Surprising what a Chevy 4.3 Vortec will do.
Hydraulic dovetail option. Make sure it has charging ability off the trk. Harbor frieght has a wireless winch remote you could wire up so you could control the dovetail from the seat of your equipment when loading
I have a 7K Gatormade Utility trailer. POS!! 2 years old and a pivot pin rusted off already. Entire frame has full on flaking chunks of rust. Powder coat is pure crap.
I bought a 2018 Gatormade 25+5 Elite and I absolutely love it. Ive only had it since May, but we will see how she holds up. Generally, they're more $ than some of the other top brands, but when I compared apples to apples, I went with Gatormade. I wish I had upgraded to the 17.5" tires though. I live on the MS GulfCoast and haven't had any issues out the trailer as of yet. I do wish there was more support for them in the area, for servicing and warranty stuff, but maybe that will come as more people buy them.
I drive a 3500 duramax dually. The trailer weighs 8 and the backhoe I haul is 17,500. It pulls it with ease but then again, I live in South Texas where it is pretty flat.
It looks like you were heading over to rough and ready. I used to live over that way many years ago. We escaped CA quite some time ago and never looked back.
I run a 2017 single wheel 3500 6.7 aisin HD package for towing my 32 ft gooseneck carhauler. I sure enjoy it. I do agree heavier brakes would be a plus.
i do pretty much the same shit with my 1997 f350 7.3 crew cab long bed dually with like a 1800lb or so flatbed with a lift gate attached usually between 28 and 32k lbs total(gcwr) its a kick in the pants i love it
Good Video... bro... but oh my... the irony of some... I drive the lower 48 and hear just about everything people have to say about California... it’s my home... and regardless , blue or red it’s what this great country as a whole affords you that choice , there is no place like it ... lol
Take care of tailgaters with a strobe light. Either install one half way up your ramp or high up on top of the spare tire, or on a magnate stuck to the back of the equipment.
I own an Iron Bull car hauler. After looking at several trailers it was clear to see the quality in the build. I’m not happy with the powder coat. It’s not that great, but they build good stuff.
Ken Sexton I feel like all trailers powder coat is crap. Never seen one hold up very well. But im going to check them out this winter and see what happens
I don’t haul quite as heavy as you but I went from a 2003 Cummins with nv5600 to my 2018 ram 3500 Laramie. Most I crossed scales in the 03 was 28000. My 18 has crossed the scales at 32000 and I completely agree I can’t believe the difference between the two. My 03 wasn’t stock by any means either. Phat shaft charger fass fuel smarty programmer south bend dual disk just to name few things that was done to the 2003. My 2018 is bone stock and I think it would easily out pull my old 2003. I have bought several things to delete the 2018 like ez lynk from Hpp 5” flo-pro bd throttle booster cold air the typical things that are done. I can’t wait to hook my dump trailer or my buddies 25+5 hydraulic dove and load either just to see what it will do after the upgrade. Nice truck hopefully it is a great truck for you with several problem free years. Cheers 🍻
thank you and thanks for sharing your story. these new trucks are all around great. I like you list of goodies for it! and like wise hope it does good for you
When towing, getting the rig going is rarely the problem. It is getting her stopped with the stock brakes where things go wrong when towing a heavy weight. A dedicated tow rig should get a brake upgrade first thing.
I know of a guy that had a 3500 2019 Ram dually automatic and he would holl around 30,000 lb about everyday and the Ram would always be overheating he would have to park besides the road and let it cool off then he got a Ford Dually 2019 and it maybe didn't have start off power like the ram did but when he was doing high speed on the highway it would drive all day with no problems it didn't even act like you had anything
Love your truck! That is my dream truck. Only thing I would change is I would down grade to the SLT model and delete it. I love all the extras in the cab but can't justify the added cost.
+V-BELT and SON how could you get away with deleting that in California. they make you do smog every two years. I just completed seven recalls on my truck at the dealer and one of them was the scr system and DMV would not send me registration until I got the recall done. after that I had to put 600 miles on the truck before the parts would talk to the computer it took four trips to the smog station to pass smog and one trip to the dealer. is there a county in California that doesn't do smog tests. if so I need to buy some land there and get an address to register my older vehicles.
I show plenty of respect. you are completely oblivious to trust the news and your facebook feed. plenty of kick ass hard working ppl in California just doing their thing and all you think is there is a bunch of freeloading scum here. get a clue.
Tow haul mode and automatic exhaust brake, you will very rarely use your brakes. I got the 2019 same color same package is yours. Except I did get the air assist. Man I love it. It's like taking my old lariat half-ton to dinner. I enjoyed your video. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for yours? after we spend that kind of money we sit around and wonder if we paid too much LOL. Have a great day thanks again
These trucks are really ridiculously well built, I really love them all how can’t you 5.9,6.7 Cummins 7.3 power stroke and the 6.7 is a rocket honestly I hate to say it but the truck is to fast it’s unreal 😂 , Duramax alphabet lol.
Have you ever heard or red rhino trailers? They have a nice slide to support the weight so it's not on the hydraulics plus offer 15k axles electric over hydraulic disk brakes led lights and lots of other options. That's what I'm looking at.
Nice truck. I haul 30k with 2002 Ford 7.3 and a 6 speed manual. Truck not made to move that much weight but the 6 speed stick makes it possible. 20+5' Big Tex, JD 333G and attachments
Nick Hill sweet! What ever it takes asking as you can stop good. I normally tow this load with my 08 5500 6 speed manual. First time towing this machine with the new truck! Safe trucking🤟🏻
I'm a Chevy guy but I have researched Dodge GM and Ford and have come to the conclusion that the Dodge is the better truck I've test drove one similar to the one that you have in your video except it was the one that had the 1,000 foot-pounds of torque diesel engine the only thing holding me back from purchasing one is price hopefully within the next year or two I will be in a financial position to make a purchase
Good to know it will run with the big dog. If you add the BD Throttle sensitivity booster, It will downshift much easier. When I installed it in mine, it felt like it was on a 60hp tune. Instantly changed the driving experience.
I actually purchased the edge amp'd sensitivity booster. I was wrong about the brand. They're listed for 260 ish over at Alligatorperformance.com. Hope that helps!
Nice video! Our Peterbilt concrete mixers all have Cummins with Allison automatic transmissions. When we first got them years weren't to sure cause of the weight going from 10 or 12 speed to a auto. But now would never go back lol. There are a few jobs where a stick would make life easier. But just cursing in traffic auto way to go.
Which ball are you using? I ordered Curt's rated at exactly 30,000 but didn't feel comfortable with that. Sent it back and ordered the OEM rated for 38k to get some margin in case someone lies about their product weight.
Looks like your up around the Burney area. I used to chip and log down in that area in the early nineties. Just kind of stumbled on your channel. Also, the reason tow haul keeps you under 2000 RPM, is because the Cummins makes that 930 lb ft max torque at 1700 RPM.
@[][][]MANN true story. I work for RAM
Great video! I just bought a 2018 3500 ram Laramie with all the goodies including airbags. I can't wait to put it to work when I start my hotshot business.
Just found your video. This old man enjoyed it very much. I will be watching you going forward. Thanks for your time and good luck to you.
Smartest thing dodge has done lately was switch to the Aisin transmissions.
Kyle agreed! They had quite weak transmissions for a long time.
I still think they need to start using the Allison
What year did they start doing that?
Cummins Militia from what I have read it appears they introduced it in 2013
@@cumminsmilitia2063 I think if I remember right the Aisin was used in the cab and chassis trucks back as early as 08.
The Ram with its Cummins Diesel out performs the other two diesels in its class. Best Combo for towing!
im very happy with it!
I assume you also have a CDL?
@@John-Doe85 class a CDL cant run it without it
@Popularity Matters mini 5 car trailer are trash... sold mine and bought a 5500 Laramie chassis cab with an infinity 6 car trailer, 15k Dexter axles, dually
I have a 2016 3500 Laramie long horn , Asian 410 with self leveling air bags . Love it . I haul my cat 420dit. I have had 5 rams through the years. This 1 is by far the best.
We use old tires on our Talbert 60 ton lowbed on the ramp softens those metal tracks up nice! Or old mudflaps!
Calif. probably shacks down trailer mfr/dealer! The paint causes cancer! It was wielded using argon.etc..I had a family business in northern,ca. we ended up closing it because of the state dep/epa rules! Don't miss it a bit.grew up there till I was 35.most people I know moved too!
tom williams that makes sense. I haven’t seen any gatormade trailers here. But yea I’m over the strictness. Where abouts did you grow up at?
Yes people are fleeing California and then voting for the same party that they voted for which has ruined California!
I like my 07 6.7, but there’s something about being able to do all your work and then some in a luxurious type style. I’m gonna be picking up a 2016+ 6.7 3500 and keep the 3rd gen around for shenanigans
Go with a PJ Trailer. I have a 40’ with air ride. I pull it with a 2018 Ram 3500 same as yours. Well worth the money!
The exhaust brake works best with tow and full brake on. And definitely saves The undersized brakes
Christopher Adams I’m not sure what year Ram added this feature but I have 2017 Ram 3500 Cummins dually with the Laramie trim package and if you go into the apps you can choose either heavy load or light load. On the heavy load setting your exhaust brake is quite a bit heavier.
@@jeffreyo1971 That needs to be a switch. IMHO.
dchawk81 I agree 100%, you have to flip through 5 screens to find it.
Ps. Love your videos they are excellent keep up the great work!
seems the whole country is trying to be like socal and its nothing good! take it easy out there!
and thank you very much that means a lot!
Awesome video as usual. Love these trucks, they are beasts. I love seeing them working, they are happiest when they have a big load on the back.
I hate to tell you bud, but you forgot to extend your mirrors.
sgtblt0506 hahah 🤦🏼♂️ I know
Everybody and their mom driving around on Sunday, so much for the gas tax.
I dont bout texas their dot can be pretty ruthless in many parts. Oklahoma doesnt care to much.
State'!
Awesome! Glad i could help you in the decision! How much chrome does your truck have tho? Haha thank you
And thank you for watching my videos!🤟🏻
I remember, in the 1960s and 1970's, when you bought a new 18 WHEELER truck, you could pick the engine. You could get CAT, CUMMINS, DETROIT DIESEL (two cycle), international, Mack.
The point I am making, I wish I could get Cummins, in FORD cab, CHEVY cab, DODGE cab. That would be GREAT.
43759 375 Dt466 better or cat
I never knew that.
Nice to see some real men left in CAli!
Yeah the truck is great. Also I knew you'd forget the mirrors 😁
CUMMINS & AISIN is the BEST.
Like everyone is saying, PJ is one of the best in the business. Also check out LoadTrail. They are PJ's brother, made by basically the same people. You could get a bunch of different colors too!
Ever look at the weld quality of PJ?
Matthew Stencel I wouldn't buy one they are the biggest rust bucket of a trailer I ever seen
See if you had. Ford you could have just pressed a handy dandy button and the mirrors would go out! Bout time you took the soother out of that things mouth! Lol. Well ya never know buddy something may be in the works! Good vid bro.
workplaytv get it! And post some videos on all the goodies your furd has I’ve only drove one and it was like a tradesmen low end no cool stuff! But thanks man!
V-BELT and SON You bet buddy. I’ll keep ya posted! May have a few questions for ya along the way with the Cummins/Ram! Loo
Best towing channel yet! Good work. Wish we could buy trucks that big in the uk.
thank you!!!!! and dang I wish you could get one aswell!!
The roads in the UK are not wide enough... 😉
First time watching your videos, it’s cool to see how you like every single comment, keep up the good work!
He skipped urs tho! Lol. Im Just being silly. I like his vids too and his involvement with his viewers.
im here hah thank you!
thank you! I try my best to keep up with the comment
Kentucky is where gatormade trailers are from
Super awesome trailer I live in Tennessee contacted them for pricing and they have drove me crazy
They ship them with independent contractors 1.79 per mile ouch
25+5 they quoted 11,200 plus delivery
No hydraulic dove tail tho mega ramps on it
Dana Bennett I really like the new design they have for the gooseneck but shoot that’s a lot for a trailer delivery. Mine shipped with like 4 other trailers behind one ford. Just all stacked up
The reason for it now downshifting as much is because usually straight 6 usually makes power down low and not above 2500 rpms
Awesome, video and review, I live in Ohio and have a 2006 3500 RAM, and absolutely love it thinking of another new one 345,000 on it and still going strong
345,000 ! Your Cummins is almost "broke in". Happy truckin'.
i have two RAM 4x4 Reg. cab 3500's - an 06 Cummings 6 speed and a new 2015 that i special ordered with every option you could put on a Tradesman model. that truck is a Cummings with the AISAN trans. both trucks will tow anything you hook to them. i've probably only had around 15k total behind both of them. the 6sp. drives like a trailer truck. to "go fast" you have to keep shifting. on the AISAN, you can just gradually plant your foot and the truck drags whatever you've got attached up any hill or grade you want in quick order. i get around 20 mpg with the 06 empty on the highway at 75 mph and around 18-19 with the AISAN empty. the new truck gets 13-15 mpg around town. i've tested the new truck on a 7% grade at 75 mph with about 8k behind it. with the cruise set at 75 mph and the dash gauges set on the Turbo boost, the truck never dropped 1 mph!! all that the Cummings did was spool up the Turbo from about 4psi to around 18. i actually drive the new RAM every day as my regular vehicle. i actually prefer taking the new truck on long trips rather than my nissan xterra PRO4-X SUV. the RAM does not ride that bad empty and rolling up on a Prius at 75 mph is always entertaining. it usually only takes a tape on the bright lights and the "golf cart" guy will move over into the right lane. i love BOTH of my RAMS.
V-BELT and SON - I got mine with the factory airbags and luv them. You're gonna be happy once you get yours installed
Im sure Ca has awesome trailers...Yea never in a race when ya pulling a load...Glad you have your dream truck at a very young age..GOD has blessed you!
thank you! ive been very fortunate that's for sure! take it easy!
Run that engine brake every time you tow. It has saved my brake pads. Even on flat ground makes a huge difference.
Frank Clark oh yea for sure!
Hi guys may I ask having them on all the time when pulling a loaded trailer of course. Does it affect anything on the truck? . Or does it damage something on the truck. Thanks in advance
Good info bro as usual. One of my fav channels for sure. Make sure your brake away cord is connected correctly. They’re real strict down here.
Great video, nice to see people happy with there purchases. Im looking at getting a 3500
*Thank you for posting this vid, now i know i made the right decision!*
I support you for not supporting that trailer company. People dont realize how big California is with lots of good people in certain areas. STATE OF JEFFERSON
George Jefferson?
Totally referencing to Andrew Camatara
It sure is a Beautiful area and a cool looking town... I'm super glad to have found your videos. I enjoy seeing what your up to. I'll be buying a new truck, trailer and tractor next year. I had a 2016 Ram 3500 cab and chassis... And a 40' Big Tex with the hydraulic tail. I did hotshot work. Got out of it and sold everything. Just bought a small ranch outside Spokane and am gearing back up.
J Claydon thank you glad you found my channel as well! I’ve never been to Spokane but I have heard good things! Congrats on the ranch!
I'm looking at a trailer called Diamond C they have a 12' hydraulic dovetail.
You have the best in trucks man 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I had a 2000 Chevy S-10 with a goosneck ball in the bed. I balanced a Cat D5 dozer on the Gooseneck and hauled it 14 miles. Surprising what a Chevy 4.3 Vortec will do.
TOOOOOO HEAVY
I would delete it just for the extra reliability removing the emissions stuff, not even for the extra power that it doesn’t need
not till warrenty runs out:/
Hydraulic dovetail option. Make sure it has charging ability off the trk. Harbor frieght has a wireless winch remote you could wire up so you could control the dovetail from the seat of your equipment when loading
tractorboy31 ohh good call! Was thinking about that early didn’t even think about harbor freight remote that should work good. Thanks!🤟🏻
I have a 7K Gatormade Utility trailer. POS!! 2 years old and a pivot pin rusted off already. Entire frame has full on flaking chunks of rust. Powder coat is pure crap.
supperterofsanity oh crap! That’s no good! That further concluded my choice in not buying their stuff. Thanks for the heads up
But what is his location?
I bought a 2018 Gatormade 25+5 Elite and I absolutely love it. Ive only had it since May, but we will see how she holds up. Generally, they're more $ than some of the other top brands, but when I compared apples to apples, I went with Gatormade. I wish I had upgraded to the 17.5" tires though. I live on the MS GulfCoast and haven't had any issues out the trailer as of yet. I do wish there was more support for them in the area, for servicing and warranty stuff, but maybe that will come as more people buy them.
This is why Ford and Dodge do the commercial stuff. 💪
Dodge yes. Ford no.
Wandering man the only good thing on a Dodge is the engine and its not a dodge its a Cummins.
Ford “Found On Road Driving” Check out the new 2020 7.3 godzilla.
Just saying my peace. ford first on race day.
I do agree heavier brakes would be a plus.
i do pretty much the same shit with my 1997 f350 7.3 crew cab long bed dually with like a 1800lb or so flatbed with a lift gate attached usually between 28 and 32k lbs total(gcwr) its a kick in the pants i love it
sick!! keep it up!
The dually fenders are the best part about the 4th gens.
Good Video... bro...
but oh my... the irony of some... I drive the lower 48 and hear just about everything people have to say about California... it’s my home... and regardless , blue or red it’s what this great country as a whole affords you that choice , there is no place like it ... lol
Awesome video nice to see a real world towing video of max load. Ofcourse it pulls like a champ it’s a cummins.
hah thank you!
California needs to secede💯
Build a wall around it.....to get out you must be a proven conservative, and a US Citizen🙌
Bulletproofed 6.0s are the strongest motors out there once studded its hard to blow one up the internals dont give
Tyler Sutton yea all kinds of fun I’m sure but that’s a long route. Rather buy something that doesn’t need a bunch of work
I'm a Ford fan, if I'm getting a diesel, I'm getting a dodge cummins. Other than that it's Ford for me.
He must not have heard of a 12v haha let’s be honest
Fun Smasher go watch videos on my 5500. Full time tow rig.
Buy a towmaster, Felling, or interstate trailer, so much better than those throw away trailers like PJ, Load Trail, Iron Bull.
Your riding in style now and don't have to shift gears!
Sweet!!!! It's a beast! Dealer fixed my gear oil leak this morning.
Shane Burrell sweet! Glad to hear it!
Love your truck! That is my dream truck. Only thing I would change is I would down grade to the SLT model and delete it. I love all the extras in the cab but can't justify the added cost.
Scott Ryan thank you! heated seats and heated wheel and gold in the winter it yes a lot of money and someday delete kit will take charge
+REDWOOD by the way my truck is a 2014 mega cab, limited dually ,410 gears, high output Cummins, Aisin.
REDWOOD this truck is still smog legal. But yea shh some trucks are smog exempt for weight and some in none smog county’s
REDWOOD what recalls did you have??
I've hauled 21000 lbs of straw, not including trailer weight, on a 40 ft trailer on the daily 90 mph down the highway no problem. Dodge is the best!
savage! haha that's b.a get it done! love dodge trucks! drive safe driver!
Can you really get up to 90 with all that weight
randal hyfi no, they are full of shit
I refuse to do business with ANY company based in Crazyfornia until such a time you show some respect for our Country.
Please... Get a life 👎
I show plenty of respect. you are completely oblivious to trust the news and your facebook feed. plenty of kick ass hard working ppl in California just doing their thing and all you think is there is a bunch of freeloading scum here. get a clue.
I love that steering wheel covers. Do you have a link for it?
Tim Speegle gosh those are like 400 bucks but I like what you’re saying about it I’ll prolly get it sometime soon 🤞🏻
Jim Sjostrom yea it’s hard to say it but automatics are pretty cool. But grabbing gears will always have a place that’s for sure!
Which ball are you using? I ordered Curt's rated at exactly 30,000 but didn't feel comfortable with that. Sent it back and ordered the OEM rated for 38k to get some margin in case someone lies about their product weight.
Install the airbags! That little bit of squat, makes your headlights blind the shit out of oncoming traffic!!
Exploring Tejas lol settle down. I’ve already installed air bags on the truck. Thank you ppls eyes are safe

Looks like your up around the Burney area. I used to chip and log down in that area in the early nineties. Just kind of stumbled on your channel. My cousin has a forestry mulching kit on a couple of his machines. He lives in the Medford area and seems like he does pretty well for himself. Anyway thanks for the vlog.
So I’m not the only one who forgets to increase and decrease his trailer brake controller until he’s on down the road 😂 you were totally talking about Andrew Camarata, great explanation of him I thought, he’s cool but a little dorky ha ha Ha
I do not know where those brands of trailers are made but where we are at (65 miles NW of St. Louis, MO) the trailers from from DO-LITTLE from Holts. Summit, Mo and there is another company that makes trailers at Louisiana, MO. But I am not sure of the name. John Davidson
I swapped my third seat for the center console set up. It just works better for me. If you still want the middle seat, I still have the middle seat and all the parts needed to convert it. I have a 17 Laramie, black interior
David K really? I may be insterested in checking that out. I just wanted the extra seat so we can run six ppl on trips or for my lady to ride in the middle
V-BELT and SON yea let me know, I have it all stored in boxes in my garage. I can take pictures of everything later today or tomorrow
David K sorry been lookin for your comment for days! I’m interested in that seat. Can you send me a some photos. Vbeltandson@gmail.com
Everytime I watch this I laugh cause of the steering wheel cover! lol. How you making out with your trailer search? Diamond C??
Is that a 68RFE transmission.I installed the air bags they are nice. Also edge programmer set to tow mode, the lowest setting,on my 68RFE with 145k.Constantly towing a GVW of 26000 lbs.I have a 2008 Ram 3500.
All the hate for California from people who wished they lived here!! Nice truck and setup! Great video
Andrew Mendoza haha soo much hate. I just delete them. Or they find me on fb. So much jealousy hah and thank you!!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays thanks for all your vids
