You can tell Von really admires Bruce Smith and looks up to him. There's a vibe of respect between them, the way Von reacts when Bruce compliments his plays is adorable lol. Very nice video
Step forward ahead 2 year's and Von Miller is a Buffalo Bill :) with his admiration toward's Bruce Smith is probably the reason he came to Buffalo. Reggie White was no doubt one of the greatest football players in NFL history. But the best pass rusher who ever lived: Bruce Smith. There is NO question
Bruce's ability to create fumbles & strip the ball is often overlooked too. Miller does that a lot as well, but it's one of things people forget about Bruce's game. A lot of people remember the big hits, but if you look up Bruce's highlight's you'll see a ton of agility plays where instead of just dozing over the guy, he just swats the ball right out of their hands.

Andre Reed...james lofton...Therman Thomas...Big Bruce Smith...Jim Kelly!! Those Teams were stacked and jacked man. They deserved some jewelry! Seeing throwback comparisons like this just helps affirm how exciting and electric the game was and has continued to be. Incredible to see the minute changes over time that made the game what it was today.
Bruce was such an athletic freak of nature. You just shouldn't be able to do what he did to all pro linemen like Armstrong. I'm so glad we have someone dangerous like that again, and couldn't be happier that it's Miller.
Bruce Smith is my big brothers hero. Long time bills fans is him and my whole family. My Brother had a chance to get an autograph once, but of course we didn't have a sharpie or pen... so he never got it. Someday I hope I can meet Bruce Smith and get that autograph for my brother.
These videos are so wholesome and my favorite sport to watch is basketball. I wish the NBA could do something like this but their older generation has too much pride to give props to the younger generation.
I was asked this question by a friend of mine, which career would I rather have between these 2 dudes. Not gonna lie, that's tough. Bruce does have the record and 2 DPOY awards but Miller does have a ring.
Love both of their style of Plays! Buffalo is truly lucky to have these guys play for the team. Now these two Giant Legends of the NFL Past and Present watch the film of each other. Did we not have two chairs? Who put these guys on a love seat?
What has Mahomes done for him to be compared to Favre? The disrespect is real smh people are always quick to crown these 2/3 year players as if they are already up there with the greats 🤦🏽♂️ dont get me wrong Mahomes has potential to be up there people just need to slow down a bit cuz what if he only ends up winning 1 Superbowl like Aaron Rodgers just cuz your a very and I mean very talented QB dont mean your gonna win 5 Superbowls just look at Aaron Rodgers
Bruce Smith was my dude. Bruce was loose was the saying. Or the Bills’ crowds chants of “Bruuuuuuuce” Love how he gives Miller his props and not make it about himself. Bruce Smith is one of my favorites athletes period. Also, he was a beast on Madden back in the day!
That was weird Von Miller didnt know about that 1point loss to N.Y.G in the Superbowl. I mean its not just Von Miller a lot of these new guys don't know the history of the game and aren't like true true fans of the game they're fans of themselves he knew the sack record because he wants to break it so he knows of Bruce Smiths 200 but he doesnt know about him going to 4 superbowls or losing that first one to N.Y.G, thats just sad.It seems like he's heard of the name Bruce Smith seen some highlights and knows hes the sack leader but doesnt know anything else like losing that superbowl by 1 point because of the wide right F/G thats just mind blowing to me for someone not to know that.
Agreed some these guys really aren't NFL nerds like that didn't grow up watching the game, watching NFL/NFL films. They were just good at the game and enjoy playing it. Those bills teams had a squad they were dominating the AFC.
Bro 200 sacks 🤯 we don’t hear enough about Bruce Smith very humble one of the greatest football players ever.
Tramaine Holloway exactly he the 🐐🐐 of all. Dline 200 sacks will never be touched
Pren Domgjoni uh so we’re just gonna ignore that jj watt and Michael strahan existed...
And deacon jones and joe Greene smh ignorance
Jalen Anderson they’ll never touch bruce Smith sack record
Pren Domgjoni jj watt has injuries tho but still has more dpoys and didn’t choke in 4 straight sbs 🤷♂️
And now Von’s a Buffalo Bill. Almost poetic
Right !!
He got 6 yrs to get 85 sacks to catch Bruce

Bruce smith is the most underrated player of all time
Ehhh people know he a great just also know he ain't the best to ever do it
He has 200 sacks
People know who Bruce Smith is. Bad things man...… _BAD THINGS._
How is he underrated he made it to the hall of fame?
@@Bomber848480015 because when people bring up the best defensive players of all time his name gets left out a lot

Bryce DeCory true cause is such a hard worker and I focused on one things that he probably declined it, like why wasn’t he in the nfl 100 commercial
Juice hey I have to speak it into existence 😂
Id like to see Khalil Mack and Lawrence Taylor.
ASAP definitely.💯
Idk LT a little crazy...
that would be awesome
Nobody can be compared to Lawrence Taylor...Harry Carson said so. LT is a legend at his own class..

Who knew two years ago how real this pair would become...
welcome to Buffalo, Von! we've been waiting for you
200 sacks...in a 3-4, as an end... Absolutely insane.
This was the best one ive seen so far
Sloke1001 X6 facts bro! There love for football and each other’s games just shines in this one!
Von Miller is already a first ballot Hall of Famer in my eyes 🏈 And Bruce Smith had almost twice as many sacks as Von Miller has to this day.
Truth
Mr. FOOTage facts
that play at 4:30 is really something else. First ballot for sure.
True but it's even harder to touch the QB now, either way Bruce is the man and I don't think we'll see anybody break that record anytime soon.

Von will go down as an all-time great. Hope he never leaves Denver

Damn! Now, that is a power house times two. Smith, next to Reggie, was the best DE that I have ever seen.
Bruce Smith had the strongest hands in football ...many one hand on the jersey, and pulled down the back for the tackle.
Even though they played relatively close to each other, I'd love to see Troy Polomalu and Ed Reed
Close? They played at the same time
