Wow!! Not only do you dance, you have to be a seamstress, a makeup artist and a hair stylist!! I’m even more impressed now!! You are a beautiful swan…❤
All professional dancers do it alone, except when there's something outstanding like a hairstyle you can't do alone but overall does everyone it themaelfs
idk if dancers follow the same regulations as actors, but actors actually aren’t allowed to have help due to union rules (with exceptions for sfx makeup or extremely complex costumes)
I think it just depends on the company, honestly. Im not a dancer but ive been backstage at a couple shows, and usually there is hair, makeup, and costume. It depends on the role too. Somebody with their hair in a bun and some simple makeup wouldnt need help, but somebody with a complicated wig and lots of complicated makeup would.
@@liannedehart2889this is so interesting. I saw another video where she had to travel with her costume & steam clean it. I only did local theatre for a few years but the actors were never in charge of the costumes. I guess that’s not a thing in professional ballet? These dancers are responsible for so much! lol
@@nickythehickey Hi, I'm a SAG-AFTRA actor and that's not true at all. We always have makeup artists and hair stylists, except for some background work. I'm not sure what kind of acting you're talking about. Smaller AE stage productions might have actors doing their own makeup, but there's usually at least a makeup artist or two on site to help. And Broadway performers always have help too.
Wow!! The makeup and hair are perfect!! And the costume is SO PRETTY with the swan wings on the tutu, and all the sparkles on the head piece! You definitely make a very beautiful Odette!! 🩰💜🩰
@@honeythunder Never too late! It's all about the hard work. Although I do admit some skills may be very difficult to achieve starting a little later like a leg hold and such but I believe anything is achievable
@@honeythunder for doing ballet? depending on your existing physical abilities you could start even in 40s but youll have trouble finding someone to teach it. professionally speaking though its generally required to start at least prepubescent, though anything double digits is considered late. so if you want competitions and impressive feats you gotta start before 13 but if you just like ballet and want to do it to the best of your abilities go for it whenever

when i was with the National Ballet School performing in the Nutcracker with the ballet company The national Ballet of Canada 🇨🇦 in Toronto we definitely had makeup artist and people who did the hair. Mind you this was approximately 40 year ago 😊
I remember ballet so well, i also remember the bobbypins my mother would put under my bun. That under my bun. Thay shit was a different kind of pain. Id also have dangers in point shoes stepping on my toes occasionally. It was an accident, but OW
Is it just me or does black swan suit her more? Like idk maybe it’s just me but if you were the black swan I’d be like YESSSS😩🤌🏼it just fits you for some reason
Does the haircolor of the dancer matter when aplying for a role? Because i realy want to dance the Arabien Princess in the nutcracker but all the girls that i have seen dancing it, have dark Hair and that just suits the role better.
I see you often say some shows require specific tutus/shoes/accessories. Do they pay you to buy them at least?? Also do they offer to do your makeup or just expect everyone to do it well
As a professional MUA/stylist, I think we’re all Always so shocked to learn that most performers are responsible for their own hair and makeup. Talk about adding pressure!
The way you shook your head to test the crown, heartwarming, just like the swan would do 🤗. That head shake, so emotional, saying so much.
I thought the very same thing ❤

Amazing ❤️

Very pretty
Seeing you do this with lockers behind you definitely shows what's up when you're a dancer
Gorgeous ❤
Just wow.
I just watched black swan last night for the first time so this made me a little uneasy lol but you look beautiful!
Ur gorgeous 🥰
Какая красотка😮
I love white swan
Please tell us what make up you use and how it lasts, please ❤❤❤
Cute!
Did you make your own feather headpiece or did you purchase it? It’s beautifully made
Incredible eyes....💐
Omg this year for marching band we are playing a bit of this song for our show and i love itt!!

How do you learn to do the hair and makeup 💄 Practice? Beautiful ❤️
Yay! A fellow “shake the head to make the style is set”! Though, you are quite elegant! I just test to make sure my hair style will last the day.

You preformed at the dance camp I am at OMGGGG
Jeffrey Starr is a super talents
Can you show a video of how quick you change from white swan to black swan?
I unfortunately had no way of filming this because of how quick the change was😂😂😭😭 I was in such a hurry. Impossible to film it
You look amazing. I’m a dancer myself but my sensory issues would not allow me to wear that feather headpiece over my ears 😭❤️
Is it just me or does black swan suit her more? Like idk maybe it’s just me but if you were the black swan I’d be like YESSSS😩🤌🏼it just fits you for some reason
Your biceps ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I am no where near a ballerina, I am in law enforcement and you are my bun inspiration 😊
Vollkommene Schönheit akustisch und optisch. Schwanensee ist mein Lieblingsstück.
Está en los huesos 😢😢❤
you look awesome 😍 🦢❤
Se Deus quiser, um dia verei minha filha apresentando Swan Lake 🙏🏻
Toi toi toi xoxo

My whole life I only ever wanted to be the Black swan , and it hurt my heart so much that it never happened
You remind me of Audrey Hepburn. She was a dancer, too.
Odette? ❤❤
You look like snejana onopka in dark version
Que bella eres 💕.
Does the haircolor of the dancer matter when aplying for a role? Because i realy want to dance the Arabien Princess in the nutcracker but all the girls that i have seen dancing it, have dark Hair and that just suits the role better.
no, it doesn't matter
I see you often say some shows require specific tutus/shoes/accessories. Do they pay you to buy them at least?? Also do they offer to do your makeup or just expect everyone to do it well
Seeing this video after just watching black swan is wild.
As a freelance dancer, how many people do you employ to assist your career?
Are you the only girl? That is in your ballet class? Please respond back😢
Hey, I have a question, I’ve never watched ballet, is the black swan and the white swan the same person when performing? Or not usually?
Usually
Just a quick question, are you allowed to have a fringe in professional ballet?? Cos I’ve like never seen a ballerina with one
If by fringe you mean what Americans call bangs, yes, depending on the role. Gelsey Kirkland, Ashley Bouder and Sara Lamb usually had or have bangs.

Which do you prefer dancing white swan or black swan?
