- This is an edit I made to Sparkling Diamonds, from Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge. I added the intro and finale reprise to the film version of the song included on the Moulin Rouge, Vol. 2 soundtrack. I took out as much effects and dialogue as possible while still keeping the integrity of what you hear in the film. I've always hoped they'd release a more accurate deluxe version of the soundtrack, until then please enjoy my work.

The perfect ending for this version is in the trailer. Satine whispers a "friend", that was for an alternate cut.
I just saw this movie for the first time today!!! I love it!! It’s in my top five favorite movies ever!! So good, so fun, so sad, so romantic
I discovered back in high school (years ago), and it is still one that I love. It has no right to be as good as it is.
I remembered this with that scene in birds of prey... Moulin Rouge, the best movie of all time, and I really love this song

I first heard this song on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and I ended up watching Moulin Rouge last night with my mom, it was a great movie!!

When I first watched this years ago I think I hallucinated the ending because I thought Satine died on stage in Christian’s arms when the curtains were open and the audience thought it was all a part of the performance. Apparently not so yeah..
No offense but I think that would also have been a great alternative ending
