Super helpfull! We drove over to Portugal during our stay in Spain and totally forgot to check about roadtolls and such. We did however register on their app during our third day in the Country so we were ok considering paying for the rest of our trip, we did however run into problems considering the first couple of days. We have both called and emailed them through many different chanels and i have to say i should have looked up your video rather than spend my time trying to contact them lol. i Went onto the linked site and found out we had a small amount to pay for the first couple of days so i payed that and plan on re-visiting the site after the 25 days that the site said it might take for the info to update. Super beautifull country tho, even if we just spent our time on the Algarve coast and in ikea lol. We know now to be more prepared with the toll situation the next time we visit Portugal😁

She had moved back to her native NZ and when completing final taxes, ect, she got slapped with a whopping bill. To make matters worse, she'd lent her car and it was those people who ran up the tolls.

I can confirm that the fine arrive in the UK trough a private parking company as a "PCN" charge, I just simply ignored but in my case I didn't forget to pay the toll company couldn't process the payment on the spot on any of my UK bank card
I found it very unclear on how the toll is managed when renting a vehicle. There is a Toll option that you can get, but i asked the rental company guy and he could not really answer. It rather was a language barrier I think. So I never opted for this option. I rented a car for 2 consecutive years and it each time the car had a card installed, I never got any fines. But who knows, they might still arrive.
I recently rented a car and I paid the extra 2 Euros per day for the fast track device and the rental company charges you the tolls. Otherwise, you must do it yourself and it's confusing! We went with Avis and they made it very clear!
Rented a car with transponder. CC was hacked and cancelled so no auto payment. Tried the link offered by rental car and other offered below. Keep getting "error try again later". Done this 8-10 times. I want to pay but seems impossible. Not anxious to pay cell phone long distance to Portugal customer service.

Those tolls are illegal in the first place; just show them the middle finger & don't pay. Vacations Over, go back home & forget the whole thing.
