Oddly enough, Google Maps launched in 2005, and Google Earth launched in 2001. Both products offer satellite images. The only correct answer was Google Maps. The Clue Crew was wrong on this one. Glad the contestant was awarded the money here in the end.
No. In 2001 it was called keyhole earthviewer. Google purchased the rights to it, and re-released it as Google Earth in 2005. Therefore, both google maps and google earth are correct responses to this clue.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Ahmed Parker I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
google earth isnt even right! earth was introduced in 2001 while maps was introduced in 2005... so the contentant actually got the RIGHT answer and jeopardy had the wrong answer down.
@@anthonyguarino4242 Only "reversed" because it was Daily Double. Other questions they pay you but your opponent keeps their money as well, so the full effect is not reversed.
@@liverpooler1997 Actually, the _predecessor_ to Google Earth was released in 2001, but Google bought it in 2004, and "Google Earth" was indeed released in 2005
Stel was definitely correct on the Google Maps one because Google Earth launched in 2001, not 2005, and I bet even he knew that it launched in 2001. That was a huge L on Jeopardy!'s part.
Sam W., I decided to look into that for you -- but rather than going to judiciary mortals who are tainted by sin (and thus fallible), I called upon a very special guest.
And Wes,before I get you to make a wager,we have some good news for Stel,it goes back to your response of Google Maps a little while ago,our judges have deemed that acceptable,so you get $6,000 more, taking you up to $11,200,it's a closer game Wes,how much are going to put a risk of your $17,400.
You're at $6,200,but before I ask you to make your wager,we have good news for Wes,because of the way we phrased our clue in the Before & After,Before & After Category, our judges have decided that your response of Press Room was just as acceptable as Press Secretary,so you're picking up $3,200.Stel,the scores are correct, you have $6,200,you're in third place
Whether it was good news or bad news for the contestants, Alex helped make Jeopardy become not just a fair game, but a great game, too.

Love when people in the comments keep trying to insist Jeopardy made a mistake.
The crew never say they're perfect...but they're pretty damn close to perfect.

I believe the correct answer for the first question was actually Brett Kavanaugh
Or Amy Barrett.
@@erensalyer9705 Yup I was debating between the 2 of them but decided that he was worse but yeah any of them would work
