What is Risk?
Risk is a strategy board game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six players. Players may form and dissolve alliances during the course of the game. The main goal in the standard version is to conquer every territory on the map and in doing so, eliminate the other players.

Blue's logic for the early invasion was probably something springing a trap(pull ed d out is sa to trap you) and wanted to attack you and get you out first because you are highest rank player

The biggest thing I've learned is the whole balance thing.. letting weak players keep continents or doing what ever had to be done for balance.. really makes a difference

Today I played risk, but hadn't played in a little while. I played a match of all novices and I thought for sure I was going to win. I thought wrong. It was pretty humiliating for me. (I'm an intermediate) However, I know what I did wrong. There was this one player that managed to capture both of the Americas, and I just sort of ignored him. That player won.

Hey I have a question about the balance of the game. What if someone owns South America or Australia and someone else owns Africa. Is the game balanced or do I have to destroy both of their troop bonuses?
In this case you shouldn't attack any of the players, it doesn't really matter that the person who owns Africa gets one troop more than the person with South America or Australia. It's completely fine for the balance of the game 😁👍

I thought the boys were like that on purpose (only 2 attacks on most turns, usually only attack other boys or those who attacked them, evenly fortify territories) so as not to disrupt and interfere with ranked games
the steam version does exactly that, targets the weakest players, last game left yellow to build his army not contest at all, let him win, it was like the guy was controlling the bots hahaha

What makes the value of taking someone out lower in fixed card vs progressive games? If you get there cards in both games why is the strategy changed?
Different card values, fixed cards are limited to 10 and progressive cards - to 60. Low card value in fixed - makes your opponents not worth to be taken out. While in progressive cards you regain the troops you lost or get more of them after trading in a set after taking your opponent out. Strategy is changed because in fixed is just not worth to chase your opponents for cards so you have to focus on other things.

If everyone attacks you, sometimes a good idea would be to abandon your continent, combine your troops to one big army, move out to a neutral place and then just wait for opportunities. Nothing much else you can do, I guess

I'm not sure, I haven't been really paying the attention to that, but usually it's not hard at all to beat AI even if it has quite more troops, well, unless if you're basically dead

so what exactly do you do if a player only attacks you? you never answered the question.
I showed it with the gameplay. You need to give up on your continent(-s), combine (or start adding) your troops to one big army, go to a neutral place and wait for the opportunities to get any continent again or take the game into your hands. While waiting for the opportunities, either let other players deal by themselves if you see that they're equally strong, or help weaker player to attack stronger one
