Ok, i was there from 2005-2010, when all the magic happened. We didn't think things could ever go back to being dark, we lived through that already, why would we go backwards, things could only get better. Well, turns out, we are just another generation learning the lesson about the cycles of life and the powers that be. Now i'm older and wiser, i'm back here looking at these heroes, and i realise, this will be one of the best bands in my lifetime. The most uplifting and life affirming sound of my lifetime. Arcade Fire, this 'where did they come from' ensemble of magical pipers, proved that music has a place, that music can enhance your life for the better. What is it that's happening ? Well with them it's easy to hear. It's singing the song of your lifetime. The sound of all your experiences, your feelings, your memories, the accumulation of life assembled into frequencies that radiate through our entire being, here to say 'hi, it's here, we are living, and this is where we are going - it's great to feel good about life, enjoy, but here is some extra magic for the ride'. What a magical band, could only have happened in that era. I hope one day we can return to better times.

The lyrics of sprawl dos are beyond kindly rich. "Mountains beyond Mountains, and there's no end in sight... A tale... Something about mammas being llamas and spitting holes through need for malls. Convert old refused shopping centers into enclosed junglefood sources. "Ten great men and women, because we all were surgically removed from wombs without a choice to be here in the matter. Love or lust between at least two others brought us all here. Yeah, the old mall has a cool water slide for circulation of the water feeding the tropical trees."
God, you are all making me feel so much better. I was seriously questioning my own sanity. I'm not prone to bouts of emotion, but suddenly, there in the middle of afterlife, I was sobbing. Like uncontrollably for 2-3 minutes. Followed by the epiphany "Damn. I need to find my way back from isolation."
Arcade Fire is one of those rare bands that manages to sound even better live than they do in the studio. Their live performances are always special. Especially Everything Now - you can tell it was written as a crowd pleaser & it fucking is.
There is something about this band that absolutely heals my heart and soul. I really can’t wait to see them live again. I would travel to the ends of the earth to see them.
The transitions were flawless throughout the entire show! I really love the transition from Age of Anxiety II into Creature Comfort, as well. I love how slowly the main synthesizer riff starts, then slowly ramps up in tempo until it finally becomes recognizable shortly before the drums start to kick in. It was just SICK! I am also really digging the new member with the dreadlocks. He does a little bit of everything based on the needs of the individual song, and he does it all well. I haven't looked up his name yet, but I definitely think that he seems like a worthy replacement for Will. The transition from The Suburbs into Afterlife was great, too. Hell, the whole damn show is amazing! I have been an Arcade Fire fan ever since their first EP back in 2003, and I have seen them perform live, so I already knew how good they are on stage, yet the show somehow STILL managed to exceed my wildest expectations. My only regret is that they didn't live stream it in the movie theaters like they did with The Smile back in January. The mixing, videography, setlist, and stage show were ALL simply perfect. I'm not going to lie, Everything Now was a little bit of a let down to me, and I was starting to have serious concerns that AF was done making relevant music. My fears of Arcade Fire being past their prime have definitely been put to rest! I cannot wait to see them on tour! Based on this performance, I would literally try to come up with $1,000 per ticket to see them, if that's what it took (hopefully that will not be the case, but I'm just saying that that's how important it is to me not to miss them this time.). I missed the Everything Now tour due to poorly timed unemployment and divorce. I will NOT allow that to happen again!

Keep your chin up! I've been going through the same as you since Christmas. The new tracks AF have released so far has given me hope and lifted me out of the Rabbit Hole I was in.
Same here, Bros. Heartbreak is sometimes inevitable if you really love someone. Love is a gift and you cannot make someone receive it always, it can never be forced. Mourn for a while, cherish the value of that relationship, learn the lessons. Thank life, the other person and yourself for what you shared and experienced. It's okay to feel this sad. Love is not extinct, just this relationship is over for whatever number of reasons we could understand or not. I recommend you Björk's lyrics of the song All is full of Love. There you can find some answers too. An embrace to you and all the brokenhearted today and always. Remember, YOU ARE THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE!
Literal chills down my spine at the end of The Suburbs. ""Oh I would love to waste it again, and again and again and again. But I forgot to ask"" Gets me everytime.
Just adding a comment here to say that 'Everything Now' is a stellar album that I consider one of the most underrated/unjustly maligned albums ever! So glad to at least hear a few from there in this. I had the great chance of being at voodoo fest back in 2016. Arcade Fire's live show is by far one of the best experiences I've had so far, maybe only exceeded by living in New Orleans back then.

Arcade fire cannot disappoint me. I know some people didn't like the previous album, but I loved it, because it's them. Seeing their growth through their music is beautiful. I cannot wait for this album. Their passion is still there.
Reading 2010 was the awakening for me to this band. The only time I connected before this was the end of a song, ironically from this very set. It was Zane Lowes favourite ever performance. He played it on his radio 1 show. And he nailed his euphoric narrating at the climax. Then comes SNLs set. Wills tribute to his son Then Lightning parts 1 and 2. My stubborn father had nothing. He was blown away. His words... "they ate a live band. And they have exhausted me with 2 songs."
Love these guys so much and there's so much to love in this set. Having said that you can't tell me there's a more prefect end to a live show than this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

was watching this live and after everything now it was the "oops! all regine!" encore
which i loved
Afterlife to Reflektor and Rabbit Hole to Creature Comfort transitions were amazing
Que coisa mais linda a transição entre The suburbs e Afterlife! Setlist incrível, um dos melhores shows da atualidade.
Let's go!! Making me more hyped for WE!!
Sounding and looking awesome....the older songs are legend but the new music is gold!!! Roll on May 6th x
Win look like he's having so much fun during age of anxiety i love it
regine is an amazing, multitalented instrument badass rocker with those punk vocals!
I had the great chance of being at voodoo fest back in 2016. Arcade Fire's live show is by far one of the best experiences I've had so far, maybe only exceeded by living in New Orleans back then.
And concert in Paris booked! And I managed to bring in 5 people with me, who discovered the band yesterday... Trying to catch up some more. Can't wait. Really. Cheers!
I’m always a taken back by the power of ready to start. Whew 🤘🏻
In Korea, it is a culture for couples to hike and come down on weekends, and sing and dance while drunk. I’m glad you are familiar with it.
Better than ever.
If there is music in heaven, it will be Arcade Fire or else what's it for?
Amazing AF, I could listen this concert all day..
Regine’s mini set is always a highlight of Arcade fires live shows. Maybe if the Beatles celebrated George like this they would have made it another go around. Miss Will on wake up especially.
I hope to see them again....
The second line they led onto the French Quarter at the end of the show was truly epic and 100% NOLA.
Hell yeah! I was here and partied down the street with the band. I was right next to win butler and Regina lol
I was right there too! When traffic stopped and danced on their cars too... Unforgettable!!!
Direct line from the nature. Intuitive doing perfect multiple masterpieces cheers from earth. Love this Band . There’s magic in the vibes. Thank you Arcade Fire for giving so much
Out of this world. I'm speechless. Thanks for making us part of your fascinating universe
Arcade fire cannot disappoint me. I know some people didn't like the previous album, but I loved it, because it's them. Seeing their growth through their music is beautiful. I cannot wait for this album. Their passion is still there.
I was one of those terribly disappointed by EN. This sounds much better!
That roll from afterlife into reflektor
The transitions from song to song are AMAZING! I need to see them live again!
Respect 4 truth ☠️💥✌️😛🤩
Reading 2010 was the awakening for me to this band. The only time I connected before this was the end of a song, ironically from this very set.
It was Zane Lowes favourite ever performance. He played it on his radio 1 show. And he nailed his euphoric narrating at the climax.
Then comes SNLs set. Wills tribute to his son
Then Lightning parts 1 and 2.
My stubborn father had nothing. He was blown away. His words... "they ate a live band. And they have exhausted me with 2 songs."
Love these guys so much and there's so much to love in this set. Having said that you can't tell me there's a more prefect end to a live show than this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank goodness they are back, hopefully coming my way very soon. Love to Arcade Fire.
my number 10 concert! Mercedes Arena Belin Ostbahnhof. New members gorgeous
