@@Elroy_Jetson yes I noticed that. Hopefully it will be patched in later, I cannot see why not. I am so pleased with the update anyway. It surpassed my expectations.
I'm surprised almost no one noticed that there are only cloth physics on hunters in the ps5...the rest of the map, where there is supposed to have cloth physics, like inside buldings, there is none.
Also some hunter models in first person view have not been updated, like Billy Story, Black Coat and a bunch more, but i only tested it on ps5.
This is the hardest first person shooter I have ever played I always lose in every gun fight or get killed who knows what but I still love the game for the spooky vibes it comes with I usually play it for a couple days every 6 or 8 months apart can't wait to download after this update and mabey look for some people to play with so I don't die all the time.
Important note - thats not before/after (because old maps are not out yet), its before vs before plus basic stuff updated in engine. I suppose there will be a lot of work with lighting/water/some textures.
But yes, new engine looks very solid. After some optimisation it will rock for sure.
That’s the point of the video It’s a before and after of the texture upgrades, the old maps arnt out yet but the shooting range still received its visual upgrade alongside the hunter models and Ui which is what is showcased here
I wasn't expecting this huge of an upgrade so massively blown away absolute brilliant game, my only issues have been trying to progress the game but coming across people who are no less than very experienced at the game
ya most folks have probably been playing for years at this point, but hopefully we get newcomers to enjoy the game as well

the lighting improvement really does it for me!
Yeah it’s great, the contrast between dark and light spaces is much smoother now so buildings are much easier to see in now

@@kingkiller_1001 Yes. I had my doubts with Crytek's history of things only running on hi spec pc's but I am glad to say they knocked it out of the park. I am playing on PlayStation and its as polished as a s tier PlayStation exclusive. It even runs great on the series S. This is how gaming should be and I have now forgiven Crytek for the original shambles of a console release. I have bought the battle pass for the first time since owning the game back when it was originally released.

Everything looks great but there are some things I’d like to see improved/addressed:
-Some textures on the hands/arms of our hunters are very subpar (my OG boy Bone Doctor looks like poo in first person)
-With the main selling point of this new update being the new engine and new map with great verticality, i would’ve loved to have seen hunters NOT float over slopes. Legs don’t react to being on an incline/decline, so new animations would be great appreciated.
-I’d like to finally see guns being pushed back when held against a wall vs the troublesome clipping that it’s always done. It would not only look better but also not give away positions accidentally.
-Seeing as how they increased the radius we can hear VOIP they should really take away player name tags like how it used to be, because this discourages randos from talking to one another more than they already did because their positions are blown as soon as a name tag shows up.
-PLEASE fix or rework the jumping/vaulting/climbing mechanics in this game! They are very outdated and wildly inconsistent. You can literally activate sprint mid air and you can’t catch ladders while in air

Yeah, hair overall looks much better. Some of the older hunter skins also have much nicer more detailed face models now which is great to see.
@@ToxicPancake88 Sorry, plese read last line more careful :) What I see is that Crytek redesigned lighting in order to show less details on hunter, and remade hair to maybe look more realistic, but results in less crispy detailed overall look of hunter. but Anyways thank you for the video!
@@arsenaliverdiiev1546 i mean the og tiered hunter have better face models than before plus I should add the menu lighting specifically makes them look glossier and blurry, actually in game up close the details are crisper than before
I'm really liking the light more before 1.17. All the light and colours are way more muted after 1.17. I don't think the differences besides that are that much improved, just some added plants and somewhat sharper (not by much) textures.
Wish games when I was younger had overhaul updates as they aged. Would have been dope to see.
It would have but this is the age we live in now. Internet aside it wouldn't really make sense or be feasible from a financial perspective to do that in the past unless it was live service and had a steady stream of cash coming in for them to continuously improve on things to keep making players come back and spend year after year.

There are parts of the UI that I really like but also parts that feel really unnecessarily convoluted and are rather annoying. Perhaps with more practice it'll feel smoother but I'm hoping this will also be improved over time in future updates.
Agreed. New UI is too oversaturated and you need to press multiple buttons to acess simple things. Also, the new hunter equipment system is hella annoying with these large ass weapon and consumables menus. Keybinds kinda help, but I still prefer the old UI muuch more
Visually the new UI is objectively better. It's maybe not user friendly, but everything would be better than the old one

@@ToxicPancake88 Yeah there's room for improvement, but I think people were too used to the old UI: it was truly atrocious, and the new one is already a lot better, despite the rough edges.

It's cool that we get a sneak peek of post-update Lawson Delta with the shooting range available! However, it's clear that it's still using the old assets albeit with higher settings on console. They've said that they want to give the old maps a face lift too eventually.
I’m looking forward to seeing the compound changes too, they mentioned afew pain points in the old maps will be addressed and reworked

I can't experience CryEngine 5.11 fully because Crytek banned the use of ReShade exactly 1 year ago today (ironic), and I was trying the Free Weekend, but my monitor is old with no HDR support, so everything looks Colorless and Grey to me. I also had no reference to the previous versions, so I , as a big CryEngine fan, appreciate this video, thank you!

I am blown away by the update. You have to actually play it to appreciate the massive difference. And yes it will get continued support and updates. It is clear to see this is Crytek's baby and they know what they have here.
Any chance you could do a video on what settings to use? it would be really helpful with the new graphic settings. I really don't want to turn stuff to high especially when it actually made it harder to spot players.

The only thing that pissed me off was that they removed the monster guide.. Their weaknesses and Strengths! And all the Lore about them!! Other than that i’ve gotten used to the new UI

They didn’t drastically change any sensitivity settings so my settings are still all the same. The only thing is there’s a bug currently with the vertical aim boost not applying so for now either turn off boost or increase vertical sens and it should smoothen a bit
The hunters looking before better detail wise
I think that’s more down to the menu lighting being murkier, in game and up close the newer models are crisper from what I’ve seen compared to the old version
From what I got from public perception is that the thing wrong with the update is the ui and if that’s all y’all are feasting cause that can easily be updated most other games would have much more problems

The UI is fine it just will take a fair bit of getting used to. It feels smooth, just felt awkward because I don’t know where everything is without fully reading everything at the minute, but once memory map kicks in it will be fluid as.
There are definitely areas it could be consolidated but I agree much of it is an improvement (for console) once you’re used to it. I don’t care what people say I always hated that old cursor 😂
Have you HDR enabled? Looks so nice. But Iam curios about night time maps cause you cannot change gamma when HDR enabled. Is it bright enough, 😅

The UI does look terrible though, think they’ve over complicated it. Another issue would be the amount of bugs at the moment.. probably best to wait till a patch update.
They’ve announced a load of changes to the UI that should be coming soon which is Great to see
Graphics and lightning are amazing😮 but we are not at 60fps currently. Hope it will improve asap. And there are annoying server issues. Hope it is only caused by server overload...i am ok with the UI even if there is two many menus. Also hope they will bring back cards in the mission summary😢
Yeah certain compounds seem to not handle great, burning town goes nuts atm. You can still see the cards in the end of summary, you have to click down its next to team details

Yeah, from what I’ve played so far my current settings still work the same. I’ll be trying the centered crosshair though

5 games in a row I've died suspiciously to players with vac and game bans with pages of comments calling them cheaters. Great game! New anti cheat is doing wonders...

I had that issue, restarting the game a couple times solved it though.
Does our hunter now have accurate First person model? What i mean by this for example if your hunter has sleeves do we also wee them in first person? cause before no matter what clothing hunters had youd always see them sleeveless in first person,unless you were playing as a legendary hunter

Hey hunters, just a quick question. I’m trying to find Mountie in my Hunter selections, but I can’t find him anywhere. I didn’t have much time to search for him before the day started, so I was wondering if you guys know where to search for the missing Hunters.
If you click hunters then recruit hunters and all hunters it’ll show you a full list of your unlocked characters

Sad I can’t even play anymore, my 1650 graphics card can’t hold up. Before update, ran 90-120FPS, now I updated, 12-40FPS and mad hop and freezing. Unfortunate after putting 1300hours into the game. Only option? Upgrade my graphics card.

There are no new gunplay settings other than the crosshair so my settings remain the same.

UI is okay. Hated the overhaul btw, ot literally killed the atmosphere. Plus I cant run it on ultra settings now even with an rtx3070ti 1440p. The visuals dont look that demanding though. Maybe needs some optimization

No still water looks the same from what I saw in the shooting range which is a shame. Running water looks much better though
Am I the only one who has laggy games, yet I have an excellent connection ? Sometime look good , and next time like ive loose FPS
I think there’s some issues with certain compounds that drop the fps, the burning town for example gets pretty rough. Hopefully the patch that soon
The new UI is trash It's terrible. Way too many clicks to get you anywhere.
You have to do additional 2-3 clicks per any given menu to get anywhere or to buy something.
God PC players are the absolute worst. Want everything and for it to be done immediately and as soon as something is done that prioritises someone else, it's daggers and knives.
I can appreciate the grievances legacy pc players have with the new UI but also feel they should know by now Crytek has always been good with making heavily requested adjustments and will almost certainly be improving things moving forward. Imo the update is a great first step and it’s exciting to see where we go from here.
Can u change feild of view (fov slider) in console settings?

Annoyingly I think that’s down to the weird glossy menu lighting and the fact I had to zoom in to match the scales, in game and up close the textures are much better than before and the clothes all now have cloth physics on console which is nice. Only exceptions Imo are devils advocate and mountain man who’s hairy coat / bear fur looks super weird atm for some reason.

Prob the servers are needed for the updated version. I feel you man. I just got a PS5 this year due to Hunts update.
Last gen has been outdated for a long time now it’s amazing hunt last gen lasted as long as it did tbh. 6 years is much longer than most game cycles get. I doubt keeping both versions of the game was possible and the playerbase likely wouldn’t be remotely sustainable. It sucks but it’s been a long time coming I’m afraid.
@@ToxicPancake88 When I was on PS4, the game was borderline unplayable, due to blue screens and not even being able to load into matches. Don't even get me started on textures and rendering. I hate it for the people left behind but, this was definitely necessary.

You can literally open a tab that has a screen of all your recruited hunters. I'm not sure what you mean.

Horrible update. Game looks and runs worse than before. Bulletdrop is a fucking joke making compact ammo the meta for long range fights while long ammo is useless on long ranges. The ui is designed by a 5 years old toddler thats addicted to mobile games. I have no words its so terri le

What do we learn here? Consoles are always a drag. Every cut or downgrade before for PC was because of consoles, now the upgrades are because of them and even the bad UI.
You'll be happy to know that as a console player I hate the new UI as well.
