We need to do another one. So many new parks we visited and the list has changed. A video we did a few years ago: ruclips.net/video/n_bF0xK__2s/видео.htmlsi=9pHs_F-JH3fY1MEZ
I can remember as a small boy going fishing at Lake Fairfield State Park sometime in the early 70s. And after finding out that Fairfield was going to be closed, I was fortunate enough to be able to make a camping trip the last weekend that the Park was going to be open. It was kind of like saying goodbye to an old friend. ☹ “How could we let this happen!”😡
Fairfield a special place and one of the better Texas lakes for fishing. With limited public places for outdoor recreation it’s said that it’s now a memory. I’m glad you had the chance to go out and visit it one more time. Whats your favorite memory inside the park?
My favorite memory at Lake Fairfield still has to be from when I was a kid fishing with all the adults. I was the only kid on board the boat, and I can remember my uncle saying he thought he was going to have to grab a hold of my shirt to keep me from being pulled overboard. And my last camping trip with my daughter and son-in-law sitting around the campfire and talking about the day's activities.

Man i gotta keep checking these parks out on your channel. Would you ever do a video ranking the parks that enjoyed the most?

What ashame about the park. Unfortunately I never got a opportunity to visit here. Thank you for sharing another great video Nick.
It’s a shame it closed, but I’m happy I captured the park before they closed its gate.

How long ago did you film this video?
We filmed a few months back. I was saving it, hoping to hear the park re-open.
