Actually this is a stereotype. German is quite soft. Any language can sound harsh if speak like Hitler or japanese samurai.

Over the last 35 years I’ve seen more than 200 bands play. Rammstein is absolutely the best live concert I’ve been too.

Best concert i have ever been to. I've seen Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns'n Roses etc... Nothing beats a Rammstein concert. You don't even have to like the music!!!

I totally agree. I'm not a Rammstein fan, espacially I don't really like Til as a singer (hope I can say that as a german). My sister came all the way from Gothenburg to see them in Hannover and took me with her with a spare ticket. Still not quite liking them but holy crap, what an unique and outstanding performance.
Being an avid concert-goer myself and and actually convinced that I have seen everything (Kiss, Aerosmith, Metallica (many Times), G'NR, AC/DC, Maiden, Slipknot, Clawfinger, Muse and many more I will only be able to enjoy my first Rammstein concert this year after many years of waiting. I have to admit, I'm as happy as a little kid. For one thing, it's the first big concert for me since Covid. On the other hand, it's a very special performance which is probably unparalleled on the whole planet.

Dear every other band, THIS is what a live rock performance is supposed to look and sound like. How good are they ? I am not even that big of a metal fan and even i think everything these guys create is brilliant. I have watched them in stadiums and in small clubs and the experience is always amazing.

A Rammstein show is a life changing event. The amount of mobile phones in some of these shots. Rammstein specifically asked people to put phones away and enjoy the show live. There will always be pro videos later and a zillion videos on RUclips.

Plus, if you go to gigs these days, and don't fight to the front or go in the mosh, you end up staring at a sea of phones held as high as possible. It used to be OK dodging that girl sitting on her 7ft boyfriend's shoulders, but it is ridiculous these days. You are literally seeing the highest quality you can get at a live gig, THE fkg experience, so what's the point trying to capture it on a crappy mobile phone, and pissing off everyone behind you. Really don't get it.
Another awesome video! I'm amazed at some of my "ignorant" friends who just don't "get" the whole Rammstein sound because they sing in German....I've seen every band from AC-DC to Metallica to ZZ Top...no one is as creative and thought provoking as Rammstein..live they are incredible...if Coronavirus doesn't mess things up worse I finally get to see them in Chicago next year...CANT WAIT!! Thanks for the upload...you rock!!
Bruh, get freaking ready. I've seen them live three times already, twice from the front row and they're as metal as it gets. It's a surreal experience that's gonna set a really high bar for any live concert you'll see next.

@@Doktormustache Ramnmstein close up is almost too much to take in. I was up close at Sonisphere, and it was just so intense. I'm not sure what battered me more - the sound , the visuals, the heat, or the smell of burning. Incredible.
Saw Rammstein live, early 2000's in San Francisco at the Warfield. I still listen and appreciate. I am 69 years.

People, Rammstein is a concert that everyone should see once in their life, you're not there to mosh, you're there to experience a once in a lifetime event that hopefully you remember till the day you die.

I’ve been an avid fan since their first album and this is by far one of their most powerful songs message wise. They only get better with time.

It was 1997 when "Du Hast" was released, I was 4 years old and it blew my mind as a kid when I saw the video on MTV. I have been a huge fan ever since and Rammstein have never disappointed since that day. They're one of my all time favorite bands and definitely the greatest band you will ever since live. I am finally going to my first Rammstein concert here in NJ of next year and I seriously can't wait. I wished my Dad was still alive because I would of taken him with me since he was a huge fan as well, although I know he will be there in spirit along side me. I will be taking my 64 year old rockstar Mom along side me to enjoy this experience, plus she is a metalhead herself and loves Rammstein.
Nevertheless, you always put the best Rammstein videos and I know you will continue to do so. Rock on! 🎸🤘
Wow, my parents would have gone nuts when I would have been listening to Rammstein at this age. I was 11 when I discovered them (Du Hast too btw) and they still were worried.

As an American who loves Rammstein, I loved this song before I understood the words. Understanding the words, as an American, I completely understand what it means to love your country and hate it at the same time, as I believe the song is conveying. I understand that the US and Germany are vastly different in most areas, but some underlying aspects (namely, humans are humans, regardless of empire or time period, and all humans are capable of the same good and bad) are the same and those aspects have caused the same sorts of problems from and for people all over the world.
That being said, I love hearing a nationalistic song of sorts, and I dont care what country its from, every country should be proud of its heritage, not mourn it. Germany is a beautiful country, with a beautiful and amazing past and even more amazing and awesome people. I dont care what their past is, the people of Germany now have every right, at least just as much as I do.....to be proud of who they are, where they are.
And here I am getting way too deep with this. What a bad ass song! What an amazing band!

great its subtitled. I can imagine tens of thousands of non Germans have learnt some German for real just because of this band. Im 64. saw them at Coventry recently because my youngest son introduced me to them so years ago. Suffice to say they were amazing, pure and simple.

Hey thanks for the subtitles. Ive watched the video about 50 times. I lived in WEST Germany as a kid so i understand some german and got the jist of the song, but the subtitles added so much depth to the lyrics. And is it just me or does Till seem very emotional singing this?
He does seem to be pretty emotional. Considering what it’s about, I’d imagine it was written from a very personal place.
