This episode is so damn good, from beginning to end. Mike and the 'bots come out swingin'. The end of the film, with the old couple getting blown up and the press conference, still makes me laugh way too hard ("Does anyone have a kidney to spare?"). Easily one of the funniest episodes of the whole series.
THANK YOU, this is my favorite MST3K by far. It's the perfect movie for MST, a great idea of a story that was made into a film that just doesn't quite work on a cinematic level, so the boys have lots to riff on while I'm not totally bored by the movie. And every joke, every joke is gold. "HQ my hat looks like a muffin." "Period, paragraph, and, erase it all." "There, there's the flavor." I think I could quote the whole thing.
I showed a friend of mine this episode as it's a favourite, and she said 'I liked the film, but it would have been better if those people weren't talking all the way through it' 🤦♀️😂
I'll have to report that. To who? I'll have to report that, too. Why? I'll also be reporting that. What? I'll be reporting that, as well. Where? Reported!
I make this a triple feature with The Island and Never Let Me Go. Bizarrely, Parts is the only one of the trio to have a way to get organs after the clone dies.
This movie is pretty mediocre, but there's something about Lena's dead-eyed, post lobotomy smile that is pretty damn unsettling... remember seeing this as a kid and that image has stayed with me for decades.
Don't blame ya, i vividly remember my parents watching a documentary about the Kennedys and what they did to Rosemary was so fucked up i still think about it once in a while
"Is the tape at your place?" "It was, but it self destructed five seconds after I watched it. Weird, huh?" This movie has everyone, Jim Phelps, Ensign Stovall, Chet Kelly, and a special appearance by Martin the Visitor!!
A super secret high tech unethical cloning facility, and all they have is like one sniper and a very easily jumpable flimsy chain fence. They couldn’t keep clone cows from escaping
"...Mom says 'hi', by the way." Holy crap, what if he actually SAID that? These two brothers are in their autumn years (their mother MUST have been 'dead' for quite a while now), one of them is shocked to find out that he's been cloned for the sake of letting him live much longer than he anticipated, and then this OTHER bomb is dropped on him that their mother is actually ALIVE?? That's one MORE wrench to be thrown into the works of Richard's "cloning is morally wrong" argument, and a HUGE one too. "Was that a bad movie, or was I just in the wrong mood?" It's a far from perfect movie, but the mood helps, Mr. Servo.
How to tell the difference between Dick York and Dick Sargent. Dick York is known for playing a science teacher in a movie about debating ethics of evolution vs creationism and for playing the mortal husband of a witch, whereas Dick Sargent is known for playing the mortal husband of a witch and playing a science teacher who plays god by raising the question of the ethics of using cloning for organ farming.
She’s actually still riffing! Her and Mike’s wife, who you can see 12 to the Moon as the singing woman in a white dress during the host segments, riff on movies together on the MST3K guys website, RiffTrax. Great stuff there
with the increased availability of ivf and other fertility treatments, i feel like the rhetorical question of whether clones are people is moot. i've always thought it was a dumbass debate, though. when i was in high school really pissed off a girl in my bio class because i was like, "that makes as much sense as asking if people born on a leap year are human." she literally yelled "NO" at me.
Man, at this point in the shows run they had simply Mastered the in movie dialogue, but the skits were absolutely INSUFFERABLE. Once that women who married Mike became a regular on the show, the skits went to PURE horseshit.
Hello, I'm Peter Graves. Welcome to this showing of Parts.
BIOGRAPHY!
If there’s one thing I learned from MST3K, it’s that Peter Graves attended the University of Minnesota.
But I don’t wanna see Peter Graves’ parts
Just happy to see an episode with such excellent cinematography
They are on fire in this episode.
“Why’d it take so long for them to post this movie/episode?”
“Later on.”

"Heh, I think you're neat!"
"I like how _keen_ you are~!"
true story
the people who made this sued the people who made that movie the island
@@krystalfan I also recall hearing that MSTies alerted them, as we are 'fans' of this one.
I have been waiting for this one, a childhood fav. Biography!!
A good enough movie for Michael Bay to rip off!
Stop being in all the same places as me.
Can never get enough Bewitched jokes. 💚 And every Peter Graves film should have at least one Airplane! reference. (make S14!)
My favorite episode!!!

If an AVERAGE episode of MST3K causes this many laughs, it makes you wonder how much you laugh when you watch a TOP MST3K episode.
I can’t watch this right now. I guess I’ll do it *later on.*
Great episode, and not too terrible of a movie to watch too!
Hurray for the 70s! We love Billy Beer!
I showed a friend of mine this episode as it's a favourite, and she said 'I liked the film, but it would have been better if those people weren't talking all the way through it' 🤦♀️😂
BIOGRAPHY! BIOGRAPHY!
Dr. Darrin #2 and sidekick Dr. Mario
I'll have to report that.
To who?
I'll have to report that, too.
Why?
I'll also be reporting that.
What?
I'll be reporting that, as well.
Where?
Reported!
Appropriate song for this episode: "I Think I'm a Clone Now"
Are you mad at me, Clone Daddy?
Mike makes a great child.
lol Watching the Mondrian channel.
Piet forever!
Oh hey, it's the movie Michael Bay plagiarized for his movie The Island.
I make this a triple feature with The Island and Never Let Me Go. Bizarrely, Parts is the only one of the trio to have a way to get organs after the clone dies.

Comedy platinum 😂

Mike will always be the best host
A super secret high tech unethical cloning facility, and all they have is like one sniper and a very easily jumpable flimsy chain fence. They couldn’t keep clone cows from escaping
I’m sure after this they went and lobotomizing the remaining clones to prevent another escape
Not to mention, why not lobotomize the clones from the beginning?
"Gentlemen, we can make him dumber, BLONDER!" lol
one of the best
1:30:55 perfect toss
"...Mom says 'hi', by the way."

"Gotta go a little easier next time..."
Parts! Parts? Whut kinda pieces parts is we talkin' 'bout?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ll be honest I have seen worse films. Plus, what a 70s cast. It’s like the movies and shows I grew up on all rolled into one film.
Go gettem, sport!

America...forever! (ever! ever! ever!) 🤣
Michael Bay's "The Island" should sue.
"America!..."
Gotta go a little easier next time 😂
I miss Pearl! I wonder where she is today?

good plot, horrible made I'm afraid LOL
Oh man this is click bait, I thought this was the island movie.
yt yeeted my comment because said I was not a clone
Man, at this point in the shows run they had simply Mastered the in movie dialogue, but the skits were absolutely INSUFFERABLE. Once that women who married Mike became a regular on the show, the skits went to PURE horseshit.
So this movie was involved in a lawsuit with the 2005 The Island movie right?
I think there was, and it was settled out of court so the amount they paid in compensation is unknown.
