Personally together with Frances Ruffelle the best UK entries ever, it was the most modern song of the competition and the only which could have been a hit or being on the radio charts of 1986, was beyond the other songs by a landslide
Song is good and different from your usual Eurovision fare, well at that time anyway... But those haircuts are SO naff! The kind of presentation that could only belong to a certain era (the eighties in this case).
this competition was completely fixed, The guy singing this song was a mate of Lou Grade. 'War Of The Roses' was the actual winner, but Grade hated the Scots, and demoted it to 8th.
....and, it should have won. I think it's one of our better all-time Euro entries.
The UK's very best Eurovision entry, ever.
One of our best ever entries.
Such a massive tune, and still incredibly catchy 🥳
Love it. Simply perfect pop-rock song.

without a doubt one of UK's very best entry
Should Have Been a Massive Hit
Great Tune.Better than the utter dribble the UK throw out nowadays for Eurovision. The legendary Bill Maynard's Son lead singer
I could easily tell you all the UK entries from the last century , but hardly any from the last 10 years !!
Who is his dad never heard of him
Definitely :-)
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
good song, should have done better than it did

Another unfounded allegation - as always
Ì thought this was crap i wanted the group Jump to win
Just went a listened, it... Wouldve been good for a cheesy soap from that time, but not eurovision material... this by ryder was far better
i dont hear the guitar, it is so stupid to play without sound..
So 1980's. Mediocre song, even for Eurovision. Following year's 'Only The Light' by RiKki much better and catchier tune.
