We did not stay at the RIU Cancun, we stayed at the Riu Palace and walked over to use the beach and the pool Bar and Restaurants. Depending on what you are looking for you may like the regular Rius such as the caribe or the cancun, however if you get a good price on one of the Riu Palace Hotels beside it....definitely go there instead. That way you can stay at the nicer one and play at all anyways.
