      There is a very big difference depending on the temperature. In the case of summer, 3 months is enough, but if you do not consider this period and enter the hot season, it is possible to refill the raw materials and use them at the same time.

    • @towithNic
      @towithNic Год назад +1

      There is no risk of salt toxicity. You’re stuck in the conventional mindset. Yes too much salt is bad. But here we are using natural balanced sea salt or sea water. And we are only using small amounts to provide trace amounts of all minerals. So let’s say you make 5 gallons of JMS you may only add 15g sea salt. Now you’ll take that 5 gallons and dilute 1:20 to 1:50 which is 15 grams in 100 - 250 gallons. It’s very minimal amount. I also suggest you research dr Maynard Murray to see his studies on growing with sea water. This is not the same as conventional fertilizer salt build up or regular table salt.

    • @towithNic

      Also kelp only has what it has because it is fertilized with sea water. And yes it does contain sodium as well…

    Can you share the latest research work showing the benefits of using sea salt for farms?
    Salt is always considered harmful for soils, how come we can use it JMS multiple times before planting and again sprinkling sea water/salt after the harvest?

      I've seen another organic farmer that uses seaweed as a cover crop with success. They wash and rinse off the seaweed with fresh water well before use to remove the salts.
      I've also seen another channel using it as a ferment after rinsing. Not sure e there results. However, there gardens looked on point!

      @@littlenugs9942 I think you're confusing cover crops with mulch. Cover crops are growing (roots in the ground) to keep photosynthesis and carbon building going until you plant your cash crop at which time can be cut down to be a mulch. Growing seaweed in your garden or farm isn't possible but if you live near the ocean it makes a great mulch. When it dries it shrivels alot. Be ready to bring alot back when you go to get it. Best time is right after a storm at low tide. It's all over the beach.

    its difficult here... all shit produced from house is stored in the septic tank of the house... all nutrient is accumulated there.
    and so... this concept cannot be applied here.
    i can only use dried leaves from the trees and chop and drop and let it decompose under the tree. ... additional store bought fertilizer is given periodically. ... but i will give it a go.. 20kg for 1000meter square for the fruit orchard.

Of course, he is of a different language and culture and translation can sometimes be a difficult thing. I believe he only means good toward us, and I hope he will be honored and rewarded for sharing his knowledge with us. Peace to you.
