Really appreciate what you share about brands we might not recognize, I find regional specific type things all the time - and pay attention to what's happening culturally around not only our country, but countries that buy from our resellers. Learn something new everyday! You're totally right o about full-time vs part-time; f/t is tough & take energy, passion and a constant openness to learning as styles change fro year to year. you are spot on! Trying to be a full time reseller is not easy. The cost of fees, shipping etc it is not worth it - I think it is more a part time thing for me now. It's a lot different than it was 20 years ago. Thanks for all your great videos and tips. :)
I see Resellers do the same thing, walk right to the Jordans and bypass the Hoka's, On cloud and Birkenstock. Most Jordans are not worth as much now so they can have them and I'll take the rest. Always keep on top of your research, great video

Around 13:55 just after you bought the piece of driftwood, you walked past a vintage album crate on your left as you walk down the driveway. There money there. I just sold one. I looked up comps and they really surprised me. Useful around the shop too.
It is the same way in my area, with people being there every day standing or sitting, watching for the new racks or carts of shoes to come out then jump in and grabbing hand full of the best of the best before anyone else has a chance. I have just walked away and looked at other things to find gold in other racks or shelves. So yes, there are other items to be on the lookout for not just shoes.

I LOVE selling UIN! Came across this brand years ago and everyone I pickup sells within 1-2 weeks. That was a cool color scheme too.
I totally agree, I was in an aisle full of other resellers, they were totally looking at Jordans and other mainstream stuff, however, I found a totally cool pair of artisan leather shoes they all passed on, we were out of town by the way and like to stop at thrift stores to see whats in the area. I totally scored them for $7.99 and their sold comps $150. My husband also found a pair of pick pocket proof pants for $5.99 and sold comps were of $69+. Thank you again to you and Ali for the awesome videos! Can't wait until you guys open up your group, I did sign up for alert when it happens! 😊

Good morning, I learned watching your videos. Last Friday T an estate sale i spent $15.00 and I found 2 Disney denim jackets in excellent condition, and 3 vintage sweaters and more stuff.
The other day I found 8 refrigerator filters for $1 each. Watched 2 walk past them. I sold them same day for $100!!

The leaching field will be moved from the back of the house to the front as we have 90 x 300 feet, our front yard! That gives us an opportunity to build 2 accessory buildings of 1,300 sq ft, with a garage attached to the house, 12 x 40 feet... a few changes with the architect and a few more thousand $$$ for additional details on the drawings before permit submission! About the painting. Those paintings are mass produced. A lot of them will come in a vintage frame that has a fabric border within it.
They were painted in mass by many people that would paint some of it and pass it down to another painter. Then they simply sign a random last name in the bottom corners.
They were popular to find in street markets and venues like that.
Doesn’t make them any less cool. I have several.
I just hate it when someone passes it off as a one of a kind painting that is valuable. It’s not. Smart of you not to pay more than $10!
If it something you love, it’s valuable to you. That’s what I say.

Ive thought the same thing about the people that sit all day at the bins that just know jordan and nike,but it works for me because i know where all my competition is and is not,and when you know more you make more,i have many times walked into place filled with resellers and picked up sever $100+ items in a couple minutes,i found the big blue my pet monster at the bins that nobody cared about because it was ripped and damaged, i sold it 2 days later for a quick 75 bucks,paid 50 cents😂.

My Nieces boyfriend is doing his doctorate in physical therapy and has a lot to say about shoes. The barefoot brand he swears by that brand and it's all he wears. Btw same thoughts with the t-shirt dudes at the outlet. My own son is 20 and loves the vintage shirts and stops in all the time to find stuff for himself. He just can't imagine going to the outlet everyday all day. He is 20 and took a position without a degree yet at 70k a year. This is a kid who bought his car flipping stuff on poshmark.

Lady at my local goodwill does the same thing she just camps there all day waiting for shoes and clothing racks to come out. Sure she probably has really good days but you limit yourself by only going to one store. Not to mention the time wasted just sitting there waiting for them to bring out new stuff.

Ryan, what should I do in this situation if you somehow see this. At our local goodwill, we've visited about 25 times within the last 3 months or so. Not alot, but we do frequently stop by to check out the local Goodwill.... we've never once found 1 single vintage t-shirt in any clothing rack. I feel like something funky is happening, we've visited many times and never ever find any vintage t's. What would you recommend or think is happening?
It’s more than likely getting picked early in the day by vintage sellers, or it’s getting pre picked by the employees for the website, or they’re getting backdoor sold to someone. Happens a lot. Not much you can do about it. Just keep looking :) 99% of our vintage we don’t thrift, we’re connecting with people and buying from other collectors/resellers
I would just look for other things. My best finds have always been 1 hour before close or first thing when they open. Even if you go every day, vintage t shirts like video games are hard to come by. It could also be due to your geographic area but there may be still valuable vintage clothes that aren’t t shirts. I have come by some $50-$100 Wrangler shirts in mine. Clothes worth more than $150-$200 are pretty scarce for cheap at the thrift because goodwill is doing their own research.
The resellers at the thrift stores I’ve seen most of them look like they live in their mom’s basement.. 😂.

not what I said at all, go listen again :) I just said full time 'THRIFTING" isn't worth it. About 1% of our inventory comes from thrift stores, and yes, we've been full time for almost 10 years.

Hi Ryan. I'm getting close to "retiring" from my job & planning to spend more time reselling. What do you recommend other than thrifting for someone who wants to replace a full time income of say $50,000 a year (after taxes)?
liquidation, auctions, collection buyouts, estate sales, wholesale. Congrats on the retirement btw! that's a big step
