So Efrén I’ve been following you since France on your Pilgrimage on the Francigena! Hihetetlen (Hungarian) unbelivable man; all the way from Cantibury (the Country of my birth) through to Rome! Chapeau - I doff my hat to you, what a journey and expierence! ¡Buen Camino y Salud! 👣🍷👍😎
Hello Efren. You did what I always wanted. Age doesn't help much but I will try. My goal is to start from Grand Colle San Bernardo to Rome. According to your videos, the journey is wonderful.
The tamal they served you is polenta, in this case it was apparently baked rather than creamy style. But you're right, polenta is related to the masa harina that tamales are made with (& also grits!) although the corn is processed with slaked lime for masa. Hope you remembered to bring all your subscribers back some chocolate & a stuffed St. Bernard puppy from the gift shop!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! You're an inspiration! You have a very positive can-do attitude no matter what challenges you're faced with, plus throwing in some humor! What month of the year did you climb the St Bernard pass 3 years ago?
Wow… the Swiss part of this journey looks stunning. Also nice to see more pilgrims and sign posts. But it seems to be about 5 times as expensive as France, which isn’t great. Also wild camping is probably not an option in Switzerland. Do you regret using the trolley, as it seems at times you are forced to walk along busy roads instead of the actual route?
Yes Switzerland is the most expensive country on the trip. In the ten days that I was there I spent just as much as I did in france. But then Italy is dirt cheap so in the end It balances out. As for the trolley, it saved my butt in France so no regrets. I was carrying more gear than usual so it was a must for me. I have learned how to pack light and my vlogging kit now weights less than 10 pounds.
Genial video Efrén. Soy un amante del camino de santiago pero también me gustaría hacer este camino algún día. Cuántos días son? Hay varias rutas posibles ?
What you ate is polenta, actually maize flour: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polenta It is used in all northern Italy as a basic important dish since centuries. Also famous in the italian speaking part of Switzerland called Ticino and probably also in the Grisons.

Con tu pañuelo rojo y negro en la cara, pareces un soldado del Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN) de Chiapas (lol!)

Was that the most beautiful reservoir in the world?
What month were you in Switzerland?
end of August after a very nasty heatwave that swept across Europe. that's why there is no snow.
6:01 the music sounds like the video changed to an action movie trailer.
Feliz Año Nuevo Efrén!🎉 Que las aventuras no falten!☺️

That goat cheese salad is like😍🤪😳....all salad should come with 4 huge rounds of delicious goat cheese. Otherwise it’s just not a salad.
I fell in love with those salads.
Do you need reservation for staying there?
Thanks
I called ahead
Anyone know what time of year this was?
Mid July to October 10 2018
