Nothing crazy about stopping and checking out something interesting and “talking to the people”. I’ve made some life-long friends that way. You go Kevin!
Thanks for watching Lt_Tragg! Same thing has been happening on RUclips. We have met some really nice folks through the channel! Thanks for posting your comment! Hope to see you in more. Kevin
@@MillGapFarms I’m not to far from you and we often motorcycle ride through your area. Hope to meet you someday while we “check out something interesting” ….. been by the “stand” several times.
If you are planning on being in the area, email us through our website and let us know. If we're not on the mountain we'd enjoy meeting you. My kids love motorbikes. www.millgapfarms.com Kevin
That is a very nice greenhouse. Thank you for stopping and sharing with all of us. I wonder if the heating system under the growing boxes is being fed by a geothermal system? You know..... you do have some "hills" on your property..... Just saying, your wife would love a greenhouse like that one! 😁
P of B, it's been a while. Hope you are doing well! Currently the heating system is a furnace that heats the water. I wonder if geothermal was a thing in the 70's. I don't remember it. What I recall was the push for wood stoves. In my area, it was Buck Stove that was the one to get. We always had a heat pump with a natural gas furnace. I think that system would work well with an outdoor furnace too. A sunken green house is on the long term plan...nothing this size unless we live in part of it! Which I am not opposed to! Great to see you in the comments! Kevin
Thanks! Like you, we've past that one many times but never had time to stop. Next time you're in Lexington, check out Shaners Greenhouses, you'll love it
I certainly will TheGsellers. And maybe we can get a cup of coffee! Thanks for the suggestion! I might be down there next week picking up a camper for my neighbor. Kevin
Me either. I think it's really cool too! Thanks for watching Mr. Sawyer! Everyone, check out Sawyer's Maple. He is a guru when it comes to everything maple! @Sawyersmaple If you can get him to send you some of his candied nuts, they are out of this world delicious! Kevin
I was hoping for a "Where's Waldo" video when I saw the title LOL. Great idea building it into the hill, just wondering, is the lower portion facing south?
I missed the questing about facing south... would you believe it's not facing south. More north east. Which really surprises me. Maybe they were hoping to take advantage of the road traffic? Kevin
I thought it was a solar panel in the beginning! I was going to say noooo, don’t fall for it! He he, in reality, what do I know? 🍁
Driving by it, it does resemble a solar panel! Thanks for the comment! See you in thee next video? Kevin
I'm right there with you. I thought that exact thing 😂👍🇨🇦

That’s is pretty cool. My first thought was solar panels, my next thought was greenhouse. Never seen one built into a hill and stair stepped before.

When used, what do they grow? It would be a dream to use it all year long.
Likewise I just got to stop and ask. 👍🇨🇦
Thanks New Guy! Kevin
@@MillGapFarms gunner wake up this early 😜👍🇨🇦

I did one of those not too long ago with one of the calves. I should do one with myself too. Thanks for watching Mgguygardening! Kevin

Oh, I could grow so many tomatoes!
As hot as it was, I'm thinking peppers would do quite well too! Thanks for posting your thoughts Madmommy! Kevin
Is it still used? When did they use it last? Did they use it for their own farm or did they sell plants to others?
They rent it out to a local person who uses it once or twice a year. The owner does not use it themselves. Good question. Thanks for asking it. Kevin
