Vaulting killed it for me, and though I came back post Lightfall (because it only cost me $30 to buy WQ+LF+the last season), it was never the same. I don't like seeing games with potential dying. I know everyone memes on Anthem, but I genuinely enjoyed its gameplay. There just wasn't enough to do, and it needed far too much work to get into a proper live-service state. I really only play Warframe off and on these days, since my big goal was to hit MR30. Now I'm just mindlessly grinding SP Circuit, primes, and Tenet/Kuva liches to slowly 100% my profile. I only really jump back in full-force when there's an update, and its usually only for a few days.

No, bungie started incubation projects that all got locked in development hell and money was spread too thin. Wait, the whole reason this one happened was because the boss use the money that could have been used to help the game and the company, was instead used to buy some old scrap that in time will only be displayed purposes. What the hell has become of this company!?!?!?
No, bungie started incubation projects that all got locked in development hell and money was spread too thin. This was them restructuring to work on just destiny and marathon because destiny can't pay for multiple studios' worth of people at once.
The amount Pete parsons spent on cars is so miniscule compared to the lost expenses that they don't even matter. Which is the sad part.

@thunderchief7256 the math doesn't add up, bungie execs simply don't make enough money to paycut their way out of the layoff. Pete selling all his cars would barely cover 25 people for 1 year max of employment before they get laid off.

Those two million wouldn't have helped, people are pissed at him because his flexint his wealth while activelly killing his company.
I mean the first layoffs were caused because they tried to retain employees with a loan of 2 BILLIONS, but their short term profit is garbage and failed to pay it back.
Then they try to diversify when the whole thing started over them having not enough staff for development, destiny doesn't make enough money to justify its own mobile spinoff, the semester comes and whoops.
