The idea that's been kicking around my head... A new RPG set sometime between 1950 and 1980 in an alternate real world. Personally I would like to see a souls game in Déraciné's world. From soft made a wonderful world with that game only to have it locked in a vr only visual novel.
@@theemeraldgecko310 It's a good story but isn't a "gameplay" focused game as Fromsoft is known for. Directed by Miyazaki in 2018. IIRC he tried VR and felt like he was looking into a world that wasn't his that he was still disconnected from. So the game/story was built around that idea.
I want to see a Caster/Magic focused game, especially since Caster gameplay is woefully and I mean woefully underdeveloped compared to their Martial counterparts. Would love it if the game had a Bloodborne aesthetic that utilized a Rally mechanic to restore expended FP instead of HP. Using Catalysts that imitate regular weapons by conjuring spell versions of those weapons, that can also be granted affinities, and can have their Ash of Wars changed. While Chalice Dungeons were a hit/miss, I wouldn't mind seeing it again in the transistion between main areas. (As a Caster main, DS3 and Elden Ring were a bit of a disappointment for me honestly.)
I actually hope it's not a massive open world. I love Elden Ring, but I'm tired of games that take 60-70 hours to complete one playthrough at a casual pace. I love the DS games because they feel much more replayable at only 20-30 hours to complete at a casual pace.
They are doing something with the kingsfield IP ,either rebooting it or just making a new one. I'm all for that, I used to be hooked on those and didn't even know it was from the people that made bloodborne and Elden ring until not long ago. That game came out way back
@theemeraldgecko310 I agree with you. I feel like the medieval fantasy theme has been done to death. I still love the games, but they could take the FromSoft formula and put it in space. A dark, space themed souls game would be amazing.
Just so you know, Alden ring has been very clear. They are not doing another fantasy RPG right now. Notice how I said right now they’re going to be doing another one. It’s just they want to lean in to the hype around armored core
Know a lot of you younger kids seem to forget this, but I’m about 30. Just give you a rough idea from software got popular because of armor. They’re not gonna just throw it in the trash. This was a revival and trust me from software knows how to treat revivals I can guarantee you you’re gonna get a game or a full new fledge release so think of like armor core five and armor core five verdict.
They need to do a rip off of Avatar. They have all the pieces and experience between Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring. They could definitely do a full martial arts, elemental bending action game with environments that show direct impact/change based on what you're doing and weather factors.
I'd totally be down for some Bronze Age, sword-and-sandals type thing from FromSoft. We're not going to get it, but I'd love to see FromSoft take a stab at some Gothic Horror that takes place entirely inside of a giant, monster-infested castle, like a big FU to Konami for giving up on Castlevania and especially giving up on 3D Castlevania games. And as long as I'm wish-casting, this pitch *could* also work as a Bloodborne II. The other thing I still want to see from them is a dieselpunk Weird War I type of thing where you're some nameless faceless soldier being unceremoniously kicked out of the trenches into No Man's Land, hopefully stopping by the corpse of your previous soldier to pick up their gear, to try to take down giant smoke-belching war machines and labyrinthine fortresses of concrete and barbed wire.
fromsoftware make a true cyberpunk game that the world has never seen before. esthetic of blade runner and ghost in the shell, akira. fast paced combat with full body augmentation. More interesting boss designs. absolute corporate capitalism and war as a theme and how it destroyed the world.
I like your take. however I have one or two different views. First - Spellbound: I could imagine a "Spellbound" game could be realistic, since fromsoft loves to experiment with different ideas. I think it could be a game, focused on ranged combat (bows, crossbows and magic) to refine their technic to implement their learning into Elden Ring 2. Second - setting: While I like your idea, i don't think that will be it. Instead i think It could explore more the norse myth. It's kinda close to the celtic myth Elden Ring is already taking a lot of inspiration from. While i say that could be more realisitc, It's also basically my wish to be so :D Great video! looking forward to see more of you! You got a new Subscriber with me
More AC is 100%. Tanemura directed a LOT of elden ring. Rumor that he's making a sort of fishing hamlet bloodborne-esque game seems likely to me. But at the very least he will be leading a new project. Spellbound is the most likely idea for me because we always see, in From's latest releases, a sort of testing ground for ideas they can expound on. In the case of Elden ring, magic is the primary experimental element. Between magic and developing hand-to-hand combat, there is so much more they can do now than ever before. Simply by testing things thru Elden ring. In this regard, Elden Ring is an experimental testing ground most comparable to ds2. Roaming npcs is another aspect miyazaki had always been testing. From the black knights of dark souls, the Pursuer, the Nights Cavalry, troll carriages. This, living element, is something miyazaki keeps pushing. I think he would've liked to have our worlds actually change in ng+ upon applying our chosen mending rune. Environmental changes based on player character choice. Anyway, yea, so, i think what's evident for me is what's being played out in current games. Imagine an AC where you can leave your mech and roam around. A sekiro that has coop. A bloodborne before the industrial revolution (spellbound and/or fishing hamlet game). Spellbound would signify a real focus and codification of all their experience with magic systems. Or maybe a new genre altogether... A Horror shooter entry by reviving Shadow Tower 😮 that could help if they wanted an easy collab with Hideo Kojima and Sam Lake. Twould be a heavenly trifecta indeed 🙏
Assuming their next game isn’t another Armored Core, I think the next big one will be some kind of evolution of Sekiro. It doesn’t make sense that they just put out one of the best and most unique combat systems of all time and never touch it again. I don’t think From’s never gonna make something on Elden Ring’s scale again either. They have all the financial incentive in the world to do exactly that, and their team is more than capable of delivering. While I still don’t fully buy the Spellbound leak, I do like the notion of its world design; a massive labyrinthine city the size of five Yharnams put together with a giant open world surrounding the city. Better yet, have only one side of the city bordering an open field while out on the other side is an archipelago to explore by ship
I really do hope they do something with Sekiro, no dlc because they’re working on Sekiro two?? (Copium) Agreed, my bad dude must not have said it properly in the video, I do believe at SOME point they’ll do another open world just not sure it’ll be the next game!
i would say some Steampunk Style ~ (yea i know Lies of P reference but more and more ! Different ! of course) second consideration : something Nordic, third possibility ; a Dante's Inferno world where you have to fight your way through each level, or the Fourth Option a folklore story that is very dark and more tied to nature
@@theemeraldgecko310 No I meant I want Fromsoft to do a collab with Brandon Sanderson with his stormlight series. It would line up with the rumored spell type game. I think there was a rumor they had reached out to him. That would be amazing
I hope If this is another Open World, The Quest Design should be change like even have us a Quest Book. Not just going to foogle everything to know the way. Like we have an NPC in Elden Ring that says "Im Going to see the special meet me there" I mean where? In Dark Souls and other Linear Games these Quest Are Okay but Open World Like Elden Ring shows a massive flaw in their quest design
@@theemeraldgecko310 Shadow Tower is a From Software series. created as an experimental offshoot to King's Field. it's a 'Dungeon Crawler'. .... Shadow Tower is ALSO the name of a location in the Shadows of the Erdtree DLC.... which, idk if it is meant to be a tease on what's next or what.
probably be 2026 januari i hope they make a pirate game a pirates of the carribean esk. you play as a mercenery possibly be a dutch mercenery fighting the spanish and brittish.
Elden ring only took five years to develop and armored core 6 despite its small size still five years. Games are getting more expensive and time consuming to create. Assuming you want a quality experience it’s gonna take at least 1-2 more years to craft an experience like traditional souls games or even elden ring on modern hardware. Being open world doesn’t mean it has to be as cluttered and quantity filled as elden ring.
So you just want more of the same with a new coat of paint? Cmon, have some vision. We need an actual new game like armored core, not another souls game
i stg if these guys just do the same thing again i'm gonna lose so much hope in this company lol please guys. drop the fucking dark souls player character *forever*
@theemeraldgecko310 my thing is, from software is an extremely talented group of people with a visionary as a leader and if they stay in the same comfortable nest they will only fall from grace. not to the levels of bethesda but eventually people will get sick of it (and some of us are already). that's why i think that ER's biggest reason for success was because so many people had HEARD about souls games but never played them. it was all fresh and new. but the ones who have been playing for over a decade want something completely new. not the 150th betrayal story with dodge R1 spam i wanna see them step outside of the box again like they did with bloodborne and especially like sekiro. they have the talent, they have the time, they have the money, and they have the fans it'd be a shame if the next game isn't wholly unique or at least *very* different from ER
If fromsoftware “already did an open world game” then they’ve done non open world games x20 times lol they are DONE with those type of games. Miyazaki words: “elden ring is the natural evolution of the souls genre” I disliked the dlc and many of the same ways as many others but the base game was an unrivaled experience (your first playthrough lol) assuming they take into account criticisms from the dlc and base game then I think next game will be great. Assuming they don’t like with the dlc then I don’t think returning to dark souls level will even change much I’d just think that like bethesda cdpr and other developers in the industry they’ve fallen off to greed.
i would love for them to make a game where all the previous worlds of other games like combine to be reset or destroyed or perhaps have to fight each other in a endless combat of survival and each games side that you choose have at least 6 endings from each side
So this isnt what you think the game will be based on evidence and clues, this is just what you want to happen. Bit of a misleading title dont you think?

100% back at you mate!
Ooh! A Souls game based on the Salem Witch Trials would be Dope!
Stole my thoughts right from me!! It would be SO dope
I think this could work, obviously they’d need to change things up, expand on the Melee spells from Elden ring? With some work this could be amazing!
Game about magic without strength stat would make people quit fromsoft 😂
It REALLY would
Really enjoyed this one.
Thanks so much glad you did!
Cosmic horror but more fantasy than sci-fi. More organic than mechanic.
This would be AMAZING, or like a cosmic horror fantasy in an earlier time period opposed to 1800s
whatever fromsoft's next game is, i trust them with my life. They cooked with a non souls game like armored core, they will cook again.
Amen broski amen
I actually hope it's not a massive open world. I love Elden Ring, but I'm tired of games that take 60-70 hours to complete one playthrough at a casual pace. I love the DS games because they feel much more replayable at only 20-30 hours to complete at a casual pace.
Me too! I love elden ring but it’s really all the open world I can handle, would love a return to form!!
With everything they learned from elden ring ofc
They are doing something with the kingsfield IP ,either rebooting it or just making a new one. I'm all for that, I used to be hooked on those and didn't even know it was from the people that made bloodborne and Elden ring until not long ago. That game came out way back
I want to see something like Elden Ring in space. Fighting Outer God type enemies in space or on another planet or something
Or a sequel to Bloodborne
100% agree with the first point would love it!
On Bloodborne, I really don’t think it’s coming, fromsoftware doesn’t own the ip
@theemeraldgecko310 I agree with you. I feel like the medieval fantasy theme has been done to death. I still love the games, but they could take the FromSoft formula and put it in space.
A dark, space themed souls game would be amazing.
A dark souls 3 remaster is going to go crazy
Don’t… don’t give me hope
I just want some things from their next game more npcs a world with more life, coop through the whole game with major drawbacks
I think you might be onto something my guy
Just so you know, Alden ring has been very clear. They are not doing another fantasy RPG right now. Notice how I said right now they’re going to be doing another one. It’s just they want to lean in to the hype around armored core
Know a lot of you younger kids seem to forget this, but I’m about 30. Just give you a rough idea from software got popular because of armor. They’re not gonna just throw it in the trash. This was a revival and trust me from software knows how to treat revivals I can guarantee you you’re gonna get a game or a full new fledge release so think of like armor core five and armor core five verdict.
A souls game set in iram of the pillers 💯 ill buy that
Im going to sound really ignorant but what’s that?
AC 7 : blood ring of dark demon soul die twice
I. Need. This. Asap.
They need to do a rip off of Avatar. They have all the pieces and experience between Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring. They could definitely do a full martial arts, elemental bending action game with environments that show direct impact/change based on what you're doing and weather factors.
Gigeresque sci-fi horror inspired new game would be sublime 👌
I think a Max Payne like will fun as hell, just a mix between souls and ac mechanics
A futuristic souls fromsoft game might be cool
It REALLY would be!
I hadn’t even considered this but you’re cooking dude
I wish miyazaki worked on a soul reaver, blood omen or legacy of kain...
I have no idea what that is but ima just agree with you🙏
I like your take. however I have one or two different views.
While i say that could be more realisitc, It's also basically my wish to be so :D
Great video! looking forward to see more of you! You got a new Subscriber with me
You’re two takes are imo spot on from what I’d expect fromsoft to do tbf! Thanks so much!!
Whole lotta yappin
It was yapatha all yap long
Blood Borne 2. Need more Gothic Era stuff FromSoft!!! The Visual Artwork alone made the Game.
While I’d love this, I don’t think we’ll get it, fromsoft doesn’t have the ip :(
Assuming their next game isn’t another Armored Core, I think the next big one will be some kind of evolution of Sekiro.
(Copium)
Agreed, my bad dude must not have said it properly in the video, I do believe at SOME point they’ll do another open world just not sure it’ll be the next game!
+Still over here waiting on official Bloodborne game news+
@ oh you sweet summer child
i would say some Steampunk Style ~ (yea i know Lies of P reference but more and more ! Different ! of course) second consideration : something Nordic, third possibility ; a Dante's Inferno world where you have to fight your way through each level, or the Fourth Option a folklore story that is very dark and more tied to nature
You are so much better at ideas than me, dude incredible shiza
Like the world in vanitas no carte?
Something Like that yea !
Armored Demon: Wolves Bleed Twice
Storm light collab please and thank you
Are they a RUclipsr?
@@theemeraldgecko310 No I meant I want Fromsoft to do a collab with Brandon Sanderson with his stormlight series. It would line up with the rumored spell type game. I think there was a rumor they had reached out to him. That would be amazing
I want something new that feels like sekiro so bad . But no matter what they make im sure its gonna be great
I hope If this is another Open World, The Quest Design should be change like even have us a Quest Book. Not just going to foogle everything to know the way.
Like we have an NPC in Elden Ring that says
"Im Going to see the special meet me there"
I mean where?
In Dark Souls and other Linear Games these Quest Are Okay but Open World Like Elden Ring shows a massive flaw in their quest design
I’m with you, I really loved Elden ring’s design
Bloodborne was their magnum opus
I want a new Shadow Tower
I feel mega stupid, but what’s that?
@@theemeraldgecko310 Shadow Tower is a From Software series. created as an experimental offshoot to King's Field. it's a 'Dungeon Crawler'.
.... Shadow Tower is ALSO the name of a location in the Shadows of the Erdtree DLC.... which, idk if it is meant to be a tease on what's next or what.
i really don't think the next title is going to be related to egypt
with the Khonsu idea we could be Moon Knight
You are COOKING
Imagine if they get to make AKIRA: the game
I’m gonna be real, I have absolutely zero idea what that is, im sorry 😭
i just want a game where i can use magic and have fun
probably be 2026 januari i hope they make a pirate game a pirates of the carribean esk. you play as a mercenery possibly be a dutch mercenery fighting the spanish and brittish.
Maybe a crossover between all the souls game?
YOU ARE COOOOOOOKING 👨🍳
I could see that working and selling extremely well
@Wesker47584 me too!
Elden ring : Assassin's Creed, dude...don't speculate based on Assassin's creed.
Dark souls 4 prepare for dissapointment edition
Next game should be a sekiro like
PLEASE
Elden ring only took five years to develop and armored core 6 despite its small size still five years. Games are getting more expensive and time consuming to create. Assuming you want a quality experience it’s gonna take at least 1-2 more years to craft an experience like traditional souls games or even elden ring on modern hardware. Being open world doesn’t mean it has to be as cluttered and quantity filled as elden ring.
Im a Ginger, feel free to leave your souls in the comments please. I'll ensure they goto good use
We’re ginger right supporters here🙏
So you just want more of the same with a new coat of paint? Cmon, have some vision. We need an actual new game like armored core, not another souls game
No I definitely want something fresh :)
Ah just want it to be in a european style setting
Like berserk or pandora hearts
Lmaoooo would love that
Elden Ring was such a money maker, it's hard to see them doing something else. No one is above greed.
I totally see where you’re coming from, I don’t think it’ll go forever but not maybe for awhile!
FS, Thundercats, Masters of the Universe or Bronze age/primitive. FS Conan is too much to axe for. I wish. FS Mad Max would be mediocre
I have faith in them tbf
SOULSBOURNE IN SPACE PLZ
I NEEEEEEEEED IT
Play Blasphemous 1 & 2 if you're looking for a soulslike metroidvania. You can thank me later. ;)
WAIT METROIDVANIA SOULS ALREADY EXISTS????
@theemeraldgecko310 Yes, it's really good and pretty challenging. I haven't played the second one but I heard it was good as well.
@geneg.2055 dude I’m going to check it out asap!!
Open world Bloodborne please!
ME ME ME ME. All seriousness I’d sell my kidney for that
i stg if these guys just do the same thing again i'm gonna lose so much hope in this company lol
please guys. drop the fucking dark souls player character *forever*
I’ve gotta disagree man, combat style might be a little the same but story wise, god damn. I do see where you’re coming from tho!
@theemeraldgecko310 my thing is, from software is an extremely talented group of people with a visionary as a leader and if they stay in the same comfortable nest they will only fall from grace. not to the levels of bethesda but eventually people will get sick of it (and some of us are already). that's why i think that ER's biggest reason for success was because so many people had HEARD about souls games but never played them. it was all fresh and new. but the ones who have been playing for over a decade want something completely new. not the 150th betrayal story with dodge R1 spam
i wanna see them step outside of the box again like they did with bloodborne and especially like sekiro. they have the talent, they have the time, they have the money, and they have the fans
it'd be a shame if the next game isn't wholly unique or at least *very* different from ER
@ right I get you now, thank you for explaining! Now you say it I think I’m inclined to agree, I WANT SOME NEW NEW STUFF!
Listen man if you know anything about japan they love their european style culture and setting or a japanese style and setting
Do they lmao?
dark souls 4: permadeath
i would love for them to make a game where all the previous worlds of other games like combine to be reset or destroyed or perhaps have to fight each other in a endless combat of survival and each games side that you choose have at least 6 endings from each side
While I’m not sure they’d go with this, I think ima just sniff some magic copium dust
W vid
Thanks so much bro🙏
So this isnt what you think the game will be based on evidence and clues, this is just what you want to happen. Bit of a misleading title dont you think?
New kings field please or first person game…
Ninja blade remastered 😂
🦎
Im not even going to play it sony is monopizing anime and buying fromsoft. Its gonna be shit. Heed my warning and itll spare you the heartache.
Diversifying clickbait past schizo lore
Nah I want pirate souls
I want pirate souls. that is all.
Dude you are onto something big time
Miyazaki needs to make a Berserk game, one in the mould of Sekiro.
Alot of trash ideas here 😂
🙏
